That's what drives me nuts with Downey Games. They put out so much stuff that there's no focus with any of it.

The thing with UW I think is that the ratings seem pretty arbitrary. Once you have the game, you're almost better off making your own.

The sets are either dead on or really out there and useless. I think the problem is if they have a good working knowledge of the set they do. It seems 1985 and 1991 are dead on which makes sense since the creator probably watched a lot then.
Harder stuff like WCCW or less popular stuff like 2010 seems to result in really lackluster sets.

Should have let me do the stats for 2010. Kane would have like 10,000 for his overall.

I'll trade a 2008 for a 2010. The 2008 rankings seem to be more accurate than the 2010. At least for the WWE guys.

That's what drives me nuts with Downey Games. They put out so much stuff that there's no focus with any of it. I've been to their website and they do have so many products it's hard to know what's what. I also don't see anything that actually shows what any of the games is really like. I see UQ gets a lot of mention here, so I assume it's pretty good. What's that like and does anyone know anything about their other two wrestling game systems?

The wrestlers have ratings and you roll on a chart based on the difference. Then you have angles that can spawn from rolling on the various charts.

I've put in several months on my WCCW game with the UQ system. Having seen how it's played out over a couple of months has been interesting. Some points on this:
The Pretty Young Things started out with no heat points. In a very short time they acquired a lot of heat and are two of the top heels in WCCW.
The American Heavyweight Title started out around the waist of Kerry Von Erich. Black Bart defeated him by using the Iron Claw against him. Kevin Von Erich defended the family honor and defeated Black Bart for the title a couple of months later.
Chris Adams, Hercules Hernandez, the Missing Link and Sunshine formed a stable.
DQs seem to come and go. I've run almost all television and I'd say I've seen roughly 25-33% of the matched end with a DQ.
I've ignored a lot of the manager shit because it happens to much.
Some shows literally have no events happen whatsoever.
I'm not doing the addition and subtraction to their overall ratings. I'm leaving those as static numbers because I don't want to do all of the book keeping.
Overall, I'm enjoying the game quite a bit. It has it's flaws and I wish there were some more options to really flesh out a running fed. It's not on the lpevel of COTG/LOW but it has a lot of merit. I'd say it's about a B-.
