Kombat Athlete Productions, the leading force in the universe of MMA, has joined forces with One Warrior, to create the the largest MMA governing and promotional force that has ever existed. While Kombat Athlete Productions' Elite Atheltic Sports: MMA (EAS) will continue as it is currently running; One Warrior's often rumored, but never realized Ultimate Fighting Clones (UFC) will now have the funding to get started. Another promotion, that will serve as a feeder for both EAS & UFC is still being discussed, but will be here sooner than later. The sport of MMA, even more than wrestling, has often been pushed aside and banned. This merger should help to spell the end of MMA's suppression and help it grow universally.

News & Notes Report #1 - EAS has announced that EAS V: Rematch will feature not only a Heavyweight Title Rematch between champion Doctor Payne and finals runner-up Marduuk, but several other rematches from the first 4 EAS cards. - UFC has released news that Anderson Silva's cut was not as severe as first thought and it should not impact his training schedule. Silva has asked for a rematch with Leben as soon as possible, which may mean an first round match-up in the upcoming Middleweight Grand Prix. - UFC's Heavyweight Grand Prix kicks off on 5/28/2125. Already signed to compete is Shane Carwin, Cain Velasquez, Randy Couture, Brock Lesnar, & Mirko "Cro Cop" Filiopovic. The other 3 fighters were not announce as of this report. - UFC's Georges St. Pierre's cut required some minor surgical work and he looks to be out for 3 months. He is hoping that his time table allows him to return for the Welterweight Grand Prix. - EAS officials are looking into a possible JJ Smooth title shot after his next bout. If Smooth wins his next fight, he would move to 3-0. Totalis' first defense might be against Sentinel, but nothing is set in stone yet. It appears the title fight, which was supposed to be at EAS VI, might get bumped to EAS VII.
