Chikara Podcast-A-Go-Go #3: 05/28/2012
Colt Cabana d. Grizzly Redwood by DQ
Bryce Remsburg is in the event center.
Remsburg: Greetings Chikara fans. The Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future is in the book. Check out the Chikara website for all of the results. But we've got some of the winners on todays show for you. Brodie Lee is still the Grand Champion of Chikara. He and Larry Sweeney are here for some words...
Larry Sweeney and Grand Champion Brodie Lee are backstage.
Sweeney: Haha... Colt Cabana proved to be all talk last weekend. When it mattered most he came up short. That's one challenge out of the way. Now... Eddie Kingston was at the show running his mouth about how the belt belongs to him. Well, I hate to break it to you Eddie but Brodie Lee beat you in the middle of that ring fair and square. But no fears Eddie, Brodie Lee would be happy to put you down a second time if it means being rid of you. Get the contract ready and we'll sign on the dotted line.
Remsburg: Chris Hero also started off his Chikara career with a victory. But he took quite a beating afterwards. Let's see what he has to say about Claudio Castagnoli and the BDK.
Chris Hero is backstage.
Hero: Well, I guess I won the battle Claudio but lost the war afterwards. I admit, I thought this was between you and me. I misjudged you. I see now that there is no you left, only the BDK... you might think you took care of me but you're wrong. I'm only getting started with you and the BDK. You haven't seen the last of me.
Remsburg: It looks like things are heating up in Chikara. Join us next week as we'll have The Colony in action against F.I.S.T. We'll also have some announcements regarding the next Chikara show Party All the Time. See you then!

Under the weather this weekend so I decided to run a show:
Global Grilling: 06/03/2012
live from Portland, ME
Kobald d. Green Ant w/ a standing dropkick Gregory Iron d. Gran Akuma w/ the Handicapped Parking*1 Eddie Kingston d. Larry Sweeney w/ the Sliding D Spectral Envoy d. Jakob Hammermeier and Tim Donst w/ the Praying Mantis Bomb Young Bucks d. Los Ice Creams by count out
Main Event: Frightmare d. Pinkie Sanchez by DQ*2
Notes:
*1 - Icarus attacks Gregory Iron after the match. He hits the Blu-Ray on Iron and they put the boots to him in the corner. Icarus takes the house mic and he calls Iron a punk. He tells Iron to stay out of F.I.S.T. business or the beating will be even more severe next time.
*2 - Pinkie Sanchez was disqualified for blasting Frightmare in the face with a pair of brass knuckles. Pinkie Sanchez gets to his feet and calls out Ares and Tursas. Tursas climbs to the top rope while Ares and Pinkie hold down Frightmare. He hits a big splash off the top rope and almost breaks the ring in half. Frightmare looks to be badly hurt. Tursas climbs to the top rope a second time while Ares and Pinkie hold down Frightmare. This time Hallowicked and Ultramantis Black run out to make the save. The BDK decide to retreat instead of facing the other members of the Envoy. Hallowicked checks on Frightmare and waves for the medical staff. Frightmare is stretchered out to end the show.
Angle Developments:
Scott Parker and Shane Matthews are backstage. Parker says they've really grown to hate the Batiri in a short period of time here in Chikara. He can see that this is going to be a bloody rivalry. Matthews thinks that the Batiri are distracting them from those tag belts and that bothers him. But they have to beat the Batiri to get another tag point. He challenges them to a rematch at the upcoming Party All The Time show later this month.
Mike Quackenbush and Jigsaw are backstage. Jigsaw is excited that they'll be getting a shot at the tag belts. They've been working hard since Chikara opened last year and now it's going to pay off. Fire Ant and Soldier Ant won't know what hit them. Mike talks about all the years of experience that he and Jigsaw have at their finger tips. The Colony has been a successful story in Chikara but they're just overmatched here. This is going to be the end of their title reign.

Kingston: Kobald, nothing personal bro but you're a warm up for when I face off with Brodie later in the summer. That means I'm going to have to smash your face in bro so I hope you show up to take your beating like a man. Same for you Brodie. I've got a Backfist to the Future with your name on it and I hope you take your beating like a man when the time comes. I'm getting my belt back and no one in Chikara is going to stop me.

Ares: This weekend I have a match with Ultramantis Black. I don't have that loser Tim Donst holding me back anymore. This is the dawning of a new era of Ares and the BDK. Ultramantis Black... you are going to be merely the first piece to fall before the renewed onslaught of the BDK. I am going to pin you in the middle of that ring and then I am going to steal the Eye of Tyr. With that, no one will be able to stop the BDK takeover of Chikara. A new era begins, this weekend in Cleveland...
