So I'll throw that out there. Make Shayne the face oif the 30s. Remove the roster cap that seems to be in place because I think that's part of the problem right now. Get a little more inring with the action. Build the mid-card storylines more.
I'd also like to see the uber cards die a slow death.

Got to disagree with inflating the roster. When there were so many guys in there pre-New Beginning a lot of them got lost in the shuffle. It's just too many characters to juggle.
I've never seen a card that was unbeatable. The card strength seemed to have gone down considerably in 2129 too, especially if you follow the End Of Days "power down" described in the handbook. End Of Days at full power didn't bother me a bit. Every once in a while a guy like that should come along, in my opinion.

I appreciated the power getting cut back a little bit. I think we might be heading towards Tom scaling guys back a little. It just felt like a bit of an arms race that culminated in End of Days. It doesn't necessarily bother me but I do like when there are eras with no clear cut company ace like the early 2110s.
I liked the 60 man rosters. Sure, some guys got lost in the shuffle but no more than get lost now. And his cap of 48 seems to get storylines cut off mid-stream because he needs to boot guys to bring in newer talent. At least with 60 guys you could have a bigger tag team division. Like 12-16 teams on a normal basis.

The downside of the roster cap is definitely guys getting cut all the sudden. Also it limits the undercarders (Right now we have Skiver, Abroz, and maybe Plethador ((haven't seen his new card yet)) and I expect Skiver will be upgraded in a couple years.
I definitely don't want the day of 70+ wrestlers, but 50-60 for a bit would be fine, plus allow the return of Sudden Death.

No. I don't want the days of 70 guys either. But like 54-56 guys to make sure storylines get finished properly would be really nice. No more Sly Drury getting the boot suddenly to make room for the guys that need to come in for the next storyline.

There's just one guy running the entire COTG universe. If he wanted to finish a story for a character I'm sure a self-imposed roster cap would not stop him. That's the great thing about being in charge of your own destiny, and your own creation. What's that motto/mantra again? "It's up to you, promoter". Unfortunately for him, when you or I blow off a story because we couldn't come up with an end that satisfies us no one notices. When he does it there are hundreds of game fans quick to see it.
BUT, that doesn't seem to be happening with Black Death. As far as roster movement, there's been very little and far more updates to existing characters. The story also seems to be buzzing along and there haven't been any inconsistencies yet. I'm pretty sure no one is going to get forgotten this time and it will come to a logical conclusion.

I think he's actually doing some of the best writing he's done since the 2120 set with Black Death. He seems to be really energized by this storyline more than other things he's done lately. I know that I'm actually more excited for the GWF than I have been in a long time.

In other 2129 news, I still can't get excited about or book Tauran worth a damn no matter how hard I try. There's still plenty of time left, but so far this year all he's done is get beat up by Paralyze a lot. Maybe that's his lot in life this year. The FDF in general is kind of spinning wheels so far for me. And on the Gladiator side, I keep forgetting I have a card for The Leveler. That character has never fit in for me.

You could run him through a gauntlet of lower card guys and see if that momentum carries through to bigger matches. That's always my trick when guys aren't performing where I think they should.

I could, but that doesn't do anything for me. I just don't have that much interest in him as a character at the moment. Like I wrote, I think his lot this year is getting beat up by Paralyze unless I decide to switch up the singles and tag team wrestlers in the FDF and see if he can gain some momentum as part of a tag team.

I lost interest in him with his 2125 card.

I think it all came down to sales. aCe and CPC were not selling nearly as much as GWF/Legends/etc. so Tom dropped them. Don't know if that's the case, but with all the stuff already out there, I'm kind of glad CPC and aCe are no more. ace dying has been part of my two year very little playing problem. Also I think there was a reason Kris dropped it but I'd like to avoid rumor and trying my brain for information. Personally I don't like the 60 card roster idea. Sometimes simpler is better and feuds could drag out longer with a smaller roster.
