Dark Matches
[/b]
Dan Severn def. Sailor Art Thomas
[/b]
Not many of the fans filing into the arena got to see this one because it was over so fast. Severn didn't take long to win with the Wakigatame.
Ahmed Johnson def. Ken Shamrock by C.O.
[/b]
This match lasted longer and was a tough, hard-hitting affair. Johnson snapped before Shamrock did and a Pearl River Plunge on the concrete resulted in a countout.
Televised
[/b]
Gene Anderson def. Tim Horner
[/b]
Unlocked kicked off with Tim Horner looking to continue the big roll he's been on in recent weeks. Once again he gave Anderson a lot of trouble, but the former Minnesota Wrecking Crew member began to take over. He worked Horner over unmercifully and finally took the pinfall.
Simon Diamond/CW Anderson def. Paul Diamond/Tony Garea
[/b]
These teams squared off once again and were putting on a very fine tag team event. Garea and Diamond seemed to be working well and maintained most of the advantage. Gene Anderson's squad got things going against Garea and Paul Diamond seemed indifferent on the apron. Garea fought hard but his partner wasn't there for the tag and the Anderson Spinebuster put him away. Paul Diamond began yelling at Garea and then attacked him, as Pat Tanaka ran in from the back. The pair doubleteamed Garea until Tim Horner came in with a chair. Diamond told everyone Badd Company was here and there will be bad times for everybody.
PCW Television Title
Honky Tonk Man (ch) def. Sweet Daddy Siki
[/b]
Siki made the most of his shot at the TV title and had the Honky Tonk Man on the ropes. The champ came back and the Shake Rattle n Roll retained the title for him and manager Slick.
Masato Tanaka def. Peter Maivia
[/b]
The PCW champ got a lot tougher fight than he bargained for against the High Chief in a non-title match. Maivia battled and fought back and kicked out of the roaring elbow. It was the Diamond Dust that put an end to Maivia. Bull Ramos came in after the match and went after Tanaka. He didn't catch him and Angelo Mosca was there to start the next match.
Angelo Mosca def. Bull Ramos by DQ
[/b]
Mosca and Ramos went right at each other and neither seemed real interested in winning a wrestling match but rather on hurting the other man. Ramos was disqualified on the outside for using the strap and choking Mosca out.
Half-A-Ton def. Fire & Ice (PNW)
[/b]
This was a rematch from Deuces Wild II. Fire & Ice started the match before the bell when Hanson jumped Monsoon. He amazingly got him up just enough for a piledriver. Monsoon came back and a doubel squash of Hawk in the corner turned things around for the PCW tag team champions. Calhoun immediately splashed Hawk. Hanson came in the ring and so did Monsoon. The ref put Monsoon out and Hanson dropped an elbow on Calhoun's head and reversed the pin attempt, but Haystacks kicked out. Half-A-Ton came back again to control the match, but got the tag. Calhoun splashed Hawk again and all four men brawled in the ring. Hawk kicked out of another splash by Monsoon. Hanson came in and Calhoun got rid of him. Monsoon splashed Hawk once more to win the match.
No Holds Barred
Nord the Barbarian def. Butch Reed
[/b]
In a no disqualification environment, neither man tried to do too much damage on the outside. They matched power for power but Nord came away with the win after a running leg drop.
Lex Luger def. King Kong Bundy
[/b]
Bundy gave the Unified Intercontinental champion a ton of hurt. Luger survived the Avalanche. Luger managed to get out of the way of Bundy's charge in the corner and then amazingly hold Bundy up in the Torture Rack long enough to get the win.
Tables Match
Jay Strongbow/Wahoo McDaniel def. Pitbulls
[/b]
The Pitbulls start the match real fast and work over Wahoo McDaniel. The chief comes back though and sets Pitbull #2 up on two tables. With Strongbow's help he comes off the top and both men go through the tables but there is no pin. The Indians double team Pitbull #2 and Strongbow puts him through another table but the match does not end. The Pitbulls make a comeback and Strongbow goes through another table. Pitbull #1 supebombs Wahoo through yet another table. Strongbow jumps back in and the Indians go on the war path. Pitbull #1 takes a beating but does not go down. Strongbow misses a dive off the top and breaks yet another table. All four men can barely stand and the Indians did down deep for another high risk move and Wahoo gets the three count on Pitbull #2.
NOTE: the combined pin rating of all four was 38.
Backstage: Unified Intercontinental champion Lex Luger was interviewed in the backstage area. "The LWA has a Showcase event next weekend where the winner of an eight-man tournament gets a shot at my title. The Total Package will be in Hawaii and I think I'll just have to do some color commentating to help the show out. A little scouting won't hurt either. I will defend this belt against whoever comes out on top of the tournament right here at PCW Spring Spectacular. Who will it be? Rick Rude? He's not too bad but doesn't look as good as the Total Package. Rip Oliver? Give me a break. I don't think so. Dr. Death Steve Williams? I beat him for the title but wouldn't mind doing so again. The fact is it doesn't matter who wins the tournament. They aren't getting this belt from me. I used the PCW championship to get my shot at the Intercontinental title. Now, I will keep this belt as long as I have to until I get my shot at the world heavyweight championship. Nature Boy Ric Flair! The Total Package Lex Luger is coming for you!"
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Jay Youngblood def. Gary Albright
[/b]
Youngblood immediately took Albright to the floor and battered him all over the arena. Youngblood was a man possessed and quickly finished Albright off with a pin on the floor. He was joined by Mark Youngblood in adding additional punishment to the beaten Albright until Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn came out from the back.
In the ring: Promoter Ty States had some announcements to make before the main event. "This month is known as March Madness in college basketball. We here in PCW will be doing three tournaments to determine the No. 1 contender for all of our championships. Each will take place in one night on Unlocked throughout the month. Next week Peter Maivia, Ahmed Johnson, Dan Severn and Gene Anderson will compete in a four-man tournament. The winner will get a shot at the PCW Television title at Spring Spectacular on St. Patrick's Day. Already signed for the Spring Spectacular is Masato Tanaka defending the PCW title against Bull Ramos in an Indian Strap Match. Also, Half-A-Ton will put the tag team belts on the line against the winner of our main event here tonight. We also look forward to the return from Japan of David Von Erich and the Headhunters."
Best 2/3 Falls
East/West Connection def. Briso Brothers 2-1
[/b]
The East/West Connection were really on top of their game in the first fall, taking over against both Brisco Brothers. However, Jack got a tag and went to work on Adonis. He fell outside after an airplane spin and did not make it back into the ring. The second fall came out of nowhere when Jack Brisco ran headfirst into the ring post and Adonis made the cover to even the match. The match went back and forth with both teams almost coming out on top. Ventura got Jerry Brisco in the Body Breaker and the East/West Connection took the match and will get a shot at Half-A-Ton and the PCW Tag Team championship at Spring Spectacular.
