PRESS CONFERENCE
CPB was at the podium with a very serious look on his face. Apparently, something major was about to go down. CPB spoke to the press core that eagerly awaited his next words.
“As of tomorrow, the Pacific Northwest Wrestling Seattle federation will be known as ‘Darkside Extreme Wrestling’. It will be based out of San Jose, California. As a representative of Pacific Northwest Seattle, I was asked to make this announcement. I would also like to announce that I will not be a part of the D.E.W. as of tomorrow, as I have had my contract bought out by the new owners. I wish to extend my best wishes to this new federation, for I am sure it will flourish under the LWA banner for many months to come.
“Onto other business: The D.E.W. will hold a Royal Rumble-style match to crown its first Heavyweight and Television Champions very soon. There will be a new format also: The federation will have its wrestlers being chosen to join the two groups formed by the two new champions soon after the new champions are crowned. Each champion will pick what wrestler they want to have in their group, with the Heavyweight Champion picking first. Both groups will fight for the right to choose who they want first from the upcoming drafts at the end of each month. Each match during the month will receive points for their group based on winning and successful title defenses. Whichever group has the most points at the end of the month chooses from the draft picks that D.E.W. acquires via draft. I think that pretty much covers everything and says it all.”
The press was buzzing with many questions, but CPB simply stated, “I will not be taking questions at this time. Thank you for your attention.”
With that, CPB left and that was the end of the press conference.
