Well, I was pretty underwhelmed by the preview... since he was describing the characters, I assume that's at the beginning of the story (if not the VERY beginning), and it's pretty poor writing, style-wise. One can hope that's there's some explanation of what the heck Cetus is, and why there's an Earth man there in their military control room If it's written assuming you know the characters, it's going to be very... odd OTOH, for $6, I'm real curious to see what the game cards are like. Perhaps if they sound interesting once people start talking about them I'll think about it. I'm much more interested in what Osk is writing... I find him to be a better writer, at least in the small sample of his wrestling game booklets, and you can tell the man loves zombies

I didn't really know what it would be priced but $6 was less than I thought. Didn't even read the preview. Osk's book comes with an audio file of hte book with sound effects and stuff. Ashby worked on that since it's his job, doing audio versions of books. Only six superhero game cards with the gwf book.

hmmm.. can't do a whole lot with 6 cards.. and it wouldn't surprise me if the other parts never see the light of day if sales are low. Other than some sort of chart mentioned on the FG board, any idea what they're like?

Not really. At the con Tom said it's the same game just different terminology, like the heroes/villains are defeated not pinned.

That's kinda what I was thinking, new charts and different type of descriptions... good to confirm though.

IS the OSk thing a book or some kind of game supplement? I did see there are only 6 cards which is kinda weird. I'd like to see around 10 to get a good balance. I'll have to take a look at some of the reviews people post once they receive it.

Yeah, hopefully someone will post something, but I suspect the best we'll get is 'This is awesome!!!! Tom RuleZ!!!'

That's what's it's been so far. They didn't say anything about game material with Osk's book, just that it also comes with an audio file of the book.

Yeah, hopefully someone will post something, but I suspect the best we'll get is 'This is awesome!!!! Tom RuleZ!!!' Agree, and if it's awesome, that's even better! I remember seeing some game reviews a long time ago of COTG from some gaming sites, etc. I'd like to see more of these, to get more of an independent and honest feel. But for $6, it's not bad to try out. I may here in a couple of months

Yeah, I agree... that's a pretty good price point, even for morbid curiousity.
I'm definitely thinking about it... I'd get's Osk's for sure if his had game cards.. ACE is actually perfect for a 'superhero battle' style fight, rather than wrestling. Shoehorning GWF onto it could be.... odd.

I think this idea can only end in tragedy.

I think this idea can only end in tragedy. Ban this clown. He is a rabble rouser, a nayaser who always threatens to boycott the product. Oh, also he plays his fed totally wrong. He does not get IT.

Wow, that's... creative. Do all the finishes just end in 'blast'? I'm pretty sure someone said something about the Nova Blast
