Cove Championship Wrestling Hello, folks. In an attempt to get my wife into the games that I enjoy playing, I helped her start her own wrestling fed. I let her pick who she wanted and I let her book the bouts. It started off slow, but she has really started enjoying LOW (& COTG), which is a good thing. I will be presenting results from the CCW cards (as they happen) and your feedback is always welcome. FYI: The Cove in CCW stands for Discovery Cove...that was a compromise, from Dolphin Championship Wrestling. Hey, what can I say, she loves Dolphins!

Tag Team Tournament Card
Round 1:
The Steiner Brothers vs. The New Age Outlaws -This match was more of a brawl than a wrestling match. Rick and Scott came out super aggressive and the action spilled to the floor. Rick was DQed for smashing Billy Gunn in the head with a chair. (New Age Outlaws via DQ - 3:29)
Demolition vs. The Nasty Boys -Ax and Smash attacked the Nasty Boys as they took their coats off and this one was not much of a bout. Knobbs was never able to even get officially into the bout, as Ax pinned Saggs after a Decapitation. (Demolition via pinfall - 2:43)
Team 3-D vs. Latin American Exchange -Talk about two teams that hate each other. Homicide opened up with some early offense and had Bubba in bad shape, until Devon was able to get in the ring and even things out. Hernandez hit the ring off the hot tag and nearly pinned Devon after some impressive power moves. Bubba blindsided Hernandez, thus giving Team 3-D the chance to score the win after their legdrop/sidewalk slam combo move. (Team 3-D via pinfall - 11:31)
The Hart Foundation vs. The British Bulldogs - Dynamite and Bret started this match trading back and forth technical moves that was a welcome change from the brawling of the first three bouts. Hart tagged in the Anvil, but Dynamite ducked a clothesline and made the hot tag to Davey Boy. These two blistered each other with power moves and Davey Boy capitalized on an opportunity to use his Running Powerslam to down the Anvil, as Dynamite blasted Bret with a beautiful dropkick. (The British Bulldogs via pinfall - 9:45)
Non-Tournament Bout: Nattie Neidhart vs. Kelly Kelly -Nattie was hoping for a better result than her father just had in the previous bout. Nattie just laid into the inexperienced Kelly. Hard chops and slaps wore down the small Kelly and finished her off with a Bridging German Suplex. (Nattie Neidhart via pinfall - 3:44)
Tag Team Tournament Round 2: The New Age Outlaws vs. Demolition - The brawling from round 1 continued into round 2! Ax and Smash attacked Billy and James as they were working their way to the ring. Ax and Jesse started the bout off finally in the ring, but Ax took it to the floor and continued to smash Jesse's head into the ring post. Even after the ref warned him, Ax continued his assault and got himself DQed. (New Age Outlaws via DQ - 1:13)
Team 3-D vs. The British Bulldogs -The Bulldogs looked really slow to start the bout, and Team 3-D went full at them. Devon smashed Dynamite's head into the post, as Bubba and Davey had the ref's attention. Devon slid a table into the ring and 3-D through the table spelled the end of the Bulldogs' chances. (Team 3-D via pinfall - 3:09)
Non-Tournament Bout: John Cena vs. The Brooklyn Brawler -A match born out of "5 Questions", the fans have been talking about this one. It was mercifully short, as Cena did not lose control throughout. An FU and that was it for the Brawler. (John Cena via pinfall - 1:03)
Nattie Neidhart vs. Maria Kanellis -Nattie was all warmed up for her second bout, but Maria surprised her with some awesome offense. Maria went for headscissors and a bulldog to score a close two count. Nattie then seemed to have had enough of Maria and nailed her with some hard shots. Nattie's size advantage was too much for Maria and used her Sharpshooter to win. (Nattie Neidhart via submission via - 7:45)
Tag Team Tournament: Finals The New Age Outlaws vs. Team 3-D -The Outlaws had enough of getting attacked, so they brought chairs with them to the ring. Team 3-D hit the ring and the Outlaws tried to use the chairs. The chair were able to be removed and the bout began, as Devon went at Billy with hard hitting offense. Jesse finally was tired of the beating and grabbed the chair. He blasted Devon with a solid chair shot and got his team DQed. Team 3-D won the CCW Tag Titles! (Team 3-D won via DQ - 6:45)
Non-Tournament: Main Event Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage vs. Samoa Joe -This match saw action all over the place, as these three men do not like each other. Back and forth action, near falls, great saves and pure hatred drew the fans to their feet. Angle had Cage locked in the Ankle Lock, but Joe blasted Kurt in the head with a crazy kick, sending him to the floor. Joe planted Cage with a suplex and finished him with a tope suicida! (Samoa Joe via pinfall over Christian Cage - 10:52) -Angle was able to get back in the ring and attack Joe. Back and forth shots had both men searching for the one big move that would spell the end. Angle went for the Olympic Slam, but Joe got out of it and used his Muscle Buster to take the win. (Samoa Joe via pinfall over Kurt Angle - 19:48)

[glow=red,2,300]Cove Championship Wrestling[/glow] 5/17/2008 Heavyweight Title Tournament: Round 1
Bout 1: Samoa Joe vs. Randy Orton -This was a great battle, as both men wanted to detroy the other. Joe nearly scored a pinfall with his Muscle Buster, but Orton just kicked out. Orton nailed an RKO, but Joe rolled out of the ring. Randy nailed Joe with a huge chair shot and split him open, but Joe refused to stay down. Joe had Randy set up for the Kokina Clutch, but Randy caught him with an RKO for the win at 23:10.
Bout 2: James Gibson vs. Bryan Danielson -This rematch was being talked about all over the internet. Gibson came out fast, but Danielson took him apart with his hard hitting, effective moves. Danielson slapped on the Cattle Mutilation and got the win at 7:14.
Bout 3: Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles -Another rematch that saw two top stars lock horns. AJ scored early with some high flying offense, but Kurt would not stay down for long. Angle used AJ's high flying against him, when he turned AJ's missed top rope splash into an Ankle Lock at 6:50 for the win.
Bout 4: John Cena vs. Triple H -Two men who know each other this well, can often lead to boring bouts. Not in this case, Cena used his hard hitting fists to counter Triple H's attack on Cena's legs. Triple H had Cena set up for a Pedigree, but Cena reversed it into a back drop over the top ropes. Triple H was rolled back in and was up for an FU, until Triple H shifted his weight and nailed a facebuster to win at 10:59.
Non-Tournament Bouts:
Nattie Neidhart vs. Trish Stratus -Two top talents squared off here and the fans were very impressed. Nattie clotheslined Trish over the top ropes, but Trish was able to catch herself before she hit the floor. Nattie suplexed Trish in from the apron, but only scored a two count. Trish nailed Nattie in the bread-basket and caught her with a fast knee to the face. Trish used her Stratusfaction to win at 9:01.
Main Event: CCW Tag Team Championships The New Age Outlaws vs. Team 3-D (champions) -The finals ended in a DQ win for Team 3-D, so NAO had revenge in their hearts. Billy and Devon started battling from the start, with Billy scoring a quick two count less than 30 seconds in. Ray and Roaddog joined the fight and the ref was hard pressed to regain order. The action spilled to the floor, where James was put through a table with a Dudley Death Drop! Billy fought hard, but Ray used a cross body block off the top ropes (YIKES!) to score the win and retain the gold at 13:41.

Round 2: Heavyweight Title Tournament
Randy Orton vs. Bryan Danielson - The crowd was not happy with Orton's defeat of Samoa Joe in the opening round, but the crowd seemed split between Orton and Danielson. A good back and forth battle, until Danielson finished off Randy with his Cattle Mutilation at 7:31. Danielson's no-nonsense approach has started to win over some of the fans.
Kurt Angle vs. Triple H - These two know each other very well and their old feud is renewed. Angle scored early with his suplexes, but Triple H answered with some hard shots to the knees and bread-basket of Angle. A double-clothesline drove both men to the mat. As they struggled to their feet, Triple H went for a Pedigree, but Angle countered into an Ankle Lock for the win at 9:30. The finals are set, Kurt Angle vs. Bryan Danielson!
Non-Tournament Bouts: Austin Aries vs. Dynamite Kid - Aries starts like a house of fire and never let up. Dynamite never got on track and Aries used his brainbuster and 450 splash to win at 4:37.
Kelly Kelly vs. Victoria - Victoria nailed her with a hard kick and went for a knee drop off the ropes and missed! Kelly rolled up Victoria for the win at 0:49!
Homicide vs. Devon Dudley - Their tag teams are going to be on a collision course for the tag team gold, but tonight they butt-heads in single competion. Devon tried to over-power Homicide and was able to score a 2 count after a big clothesline. Homicide battled back, but was unable to score anything more than a one count on the big man. Devon thought he had the win with a spinebuster, but Homicide got a foot on the ropes. Devon picked up the hurt Homicide, which allowed Homicide an opportunity for a low blow and then the Gringo Killer for the win at 16:34.
Bret Hart vs. Christopher Daniels - Daniels is just coming back from the nasty kick that Orton inflicted, which kept him out of the title tournament. Bret and Daniels go to the floor, where Bret slammed Daniels onto the announce table and then used a chair to open up his head. The ref has no choice but to DQ Bret at 5:15, but Hart had done his damage. Daniels was carted out once again.
Main Event: Finals - Heavyweight Title Tournament Bryan Danielson vs. Kurt Angle - A dream match-up of submission experts in the finals promises to be a true show-stopper. Angle shot the single-leg takedown, but Danielson was able to get to the ropes. Kurt was able to use a takeover suplex to get Danielson in a bad spot, was able to get the Ankle Lock hooked in. Bryan answered with a mule kick and went on the offenesive. Danielson used his array of hard strikes to get Angle in position for the Cattle Mutilation. Angle was able to escape, but the damage had been done. Danielson never let up and continued to work over Kurt. Twice more Kurt escaped the Cattle Mutilation. In the end, Danielson used his Dragon Elbows to take the win and the gold at 15:45. After the bout, both men shook hands.

Cove Championship Wrestling: 7/23/2008
Bout #1: Victoria (1-1) vs. Kelly Kelly (1-1) -Victoria was still angery about the last time these two ladies stepped into the ring. Kelly scored a stunning, fast upset in their first meeting, but Victoria is not about to let that happen again. Victoria went full out and used her power to dominate Kelly. Kelly was unable to get off any offensive moves and was pinned after a Widow's Peak at 7:46.
Bout #2: Nigel McGuinness (1-0) vs. Jeff Jarrett (1-0) - Both men are hoping to secure a spot in the upcoming TV Title Tournament. A good back and forth bout here, as both men understand the importance of this bout. Nigel needed to nail the Jawbreaker Lariat twice (the first time was a 2 count) to put away Jeff at 8:40.
Bout #3: Triple H (1-1) vs. Randy Orton (2-1) - Orton is still upset about his loss in the semi-finals to Danielson and wants a rematch. Triple H will not be anyone's stepping stone. An early RKO only scored a 2 count, which disgruntled Orton. Triple H battled back and scored with his Pedigree to win at 10:50.
Bout #4: Nattie Neidhart (2-1) vs. Candice Michelle (0-1) - Nattie did not let Candice get an offensive move off in this squash. Nattie used the Sharpshooter to win at 2:10.
Bout #5: Austin Aries (2-0) vs. Homicide (1-0) - Aries and Homicide are not new to each other, but the CCW fans have been looking forward to their match-up. Great action, as Homicide tried to end things early with his Gringo Killer, but Aries would not stay down. Aries answered with a series of hard hitting suplexes, but Homicide answered with a low blow. Back and forth until Aries nailed his Brainbuster and then his 450 Splash for the pin at 11:16.
Main Event: CCW Heavyweight Chmapionship Bout #6: Kurt Angle (2-4) vs. Bryan Danielson (4-1) - A great finals leads to this great rematch. Angle went for the Angle Slam, but Danielson countered and fired off a series of elbow smashes. Angle escaped the Cattle Mutilation and countered with an Ankle Lock. Both men pulled out all the stops and it took a Diving Headbutt by Danielson to retain his title at 15:13.

[glow=red,2,300]Cove Championship Wrestling[/glow] 7/26/08
Dark Match: Delirious vs. Savage T - Two non-roster wrestlers got a chance to shine here tonight in the dark match. They did not disappoint. A great pace, as T tried to take it to Delirious. Delirious is a hard guy to read and out of nowhere, he exploded. Delirious won at 6:37 with his Chemical Imbalance #2.
Round #1:
Bout #1: Nigel McGuinness vs. Abyss - The huge Abyss looked like an early favorite, but Nigel would not let that happen. Nigel used some hard hitting shots to the legs and the back of Abyss. Nigel nailed his Jawbreaker Lariat 3 times to score the win at 7:03.
Bout #2: Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles - AJ knew that Joe will not be an easy bout, as both men tried to wrestle their type of match. The fans were pretty evenly split, as both men have a huge following. Good offense back and forth ave both opportunities to score the win. Joe's size overpowered AJ and he used his Musclebsuter to take the win at 15:10.
Bout #3: Christian Cage vs. James Gibson - Gibson is truly beloved by the CCW fans and they rallied behind him every time Cage would get the advantage. Cage pushed the pace and took the win with his Unprettier at 11:58.
Bout #4: Austin Aries vs. Triple H - Triple H looked to have an easy bout with Aries, based on the experience and size advantages. In the early stages, it appeared that this would be the case. Triple H nailed several high impact moved, but could not score the pinfall. Frustrated, Triple H got sloppy and this gave Aries the opening he needed. Aries used his Brainbuster and then the 450 Splash at 12:07 to take the win.
Round 2: Bout #5: Nigel McGuinness vs. Samoa Joe - Joe looks super focused on the goal and he attacks Nigel hard at the bell. Joe tossed Nigel over the ropes and he started slamming Nigel's head into the ringpost. The ref order Joe to stop, as Nigel started bleeding from his nose, but Joe refused. The ref had to DQ Joe at 3:16. This did not sit well with Samoa Joe.
Bout #6: Christian Cage vs. Austin Aries - Cage figured he would be able to use his size advantage against Aries, just as he had against Gibson. Aries would not go down so easy, as he battled back and showed why he is one of the top stars here in CCW. Aries used his brainbuster, but did not score the pinfall. Aries escaped the Unprettier and locked in his Horns of Aries for the win at 17:47.
Non-Tournament: Special Nightmare Co-Main Event Bout #7: Kevin Sullivan vs. The Great Muta - These two Nightmares made a special appearance here tonight in a preview of Monday's special CCW - Nightmares card. Both men began this battle before the bell even rang. Hot and heavy action, as both Sullivan and Muta know that they can inflict tons of pain. Back and forth high impact moves brought the fans to their feet. Sullivan used the Golden Spike to nail Muta for the pin, but the ref saw the spike and DQed Sullivan at 13:10. This did not sit well with Sullivan and the ref needed to make a fast retreat.
Round #3: TV Title Finals Nigel McGuinness vs. Austin Aries - Both men had a hard road to the finals, but that would not slow them down. Fast and furious, with quick pin attempts throughout showed that each man wanted this gold. Nigel nailed the Jawbreaker Lariat, but it knocked Aries clean out of the ring. Aries battled back and locked on his Horns of Aries, but Nigel used his long legs to get to the ropes. Both men knew it would take everything they had to score the win. Nigel went for the Jawbreaker Lariat, but Aries ducked and chopped out Nigel's knee. Aries nailed his brainbuster and then nailed the 450 Splash for the win at 27:14 and wins the gold. After the bout, Nigel and Aries shake hands, as the crowd roars.

*Tonight's CCW show is going to feature the new set Nightmares of the Mat. I just wanted to say thank you for this amazing set of cards and allowing us to enjoy your great talents!
Bout #1: Mr. Pogo vs. Terry Funk - Cage Match - An insane opener here as Mr. Pogo from the Nightmare group and the old veteran Terry Funk hooked up in crazy bout. Both men used the cage as a cheese-grater and both also tried to drop as many "bombs" on each other as they could. Terry was dropped throat first on the ropes and that staggered the crazy Texan. Pogo drove a knee to Funk's back and locked on the Fujiwara Armbar for the win at 19:43.
Bout #2: Luna Vachon vs. Lufisto - Women's Challenge Match - Lufisto made her CCW debut tonight, but unfortunately she was booked into this as her initiation. Luna is not a nice person and she does not like the young Lufisto. A great clash of different styles here grabbed the fans attention and held them captive. Luna threw Lufisto out to the floor, but Lufisto did not hold back. Both women eat the ringpost and both rolled back in just before the ten count. Lufisto and Luna started pounding each other, until Lufisto threw Luna to the floor. Lufisto smashed Luna's face down hard to the apron and dragged her into the ring and used her Emerald Fusion for the win at 11:16.
Bout #3: Mondo Kleen vs. Super Leather - No DQ Match - This was a brutal battle of two huge men, as both tried to end this early. Kleen tried to use a chair to smash Leather's face open, but Leather ducked and the chair rebounded and nailed Kleen. Super Leather booted Kleen hard in the gut and nailed his Powerbomb for the win at 7:16.
Bout #4: Violent J vs. Austin Aries - CCW TV Title Match - Violent J, a member of the Nightmares of the Mat roster, gets a CCW TV Title shot here tonight. Aries, coming off an amazing tournament, looked ready for J's crazy offense. Violent J opened with some hard hitting offense, but was unable to score anything more than a 2 count. Aries battled back and scored with some hard hitting offense. Aries nailed the brainbuster and locked on the Horns of Aries for the win at 10:43 to keep the gold.
Bout #5: Nigel McGuinness vs. Dr. Sam Shepperd - Challenge Match - Shepperd did not let McGuinness get any early offense off, but Nigel refused to stay down. McGuinness, who was also in the finals on the TV Title tournament, nailed a hard lariat to help swing the tide. Back and forth, each man nailed huge shots. Sam turned the tide back in his favor and tossed Nigel out of the ring. A stunned Nigel was staggering to his feet on the floor when Sam went for a huge dive. Nigel, at the last second, moved and let Shepperd slam hard into the announce table. Nigel rolled back in and Sam, holding his ribs, just made it back in before the ten count. Nigel grabbed Sam and nailed the short-arm lariat to take a win at 21:09. An amazing bout, that the fans stood and gave them a standing ovation.
Bout #6: Owen Hart vs. Bryan Danielson - CCW Heavyweight Title - Owen Hart, a special guest here tonight, gets a shot at the CCW Champion, "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. A ton of pure wrestling fans were looking forward to this bout. Owen opened with some quick offense and used a tombstone to get Danielson down to the mat. Instead of trying for the pin, Owen went up top for a Moonsault, but Danielson got his knees up and landed hard on Danielson's knees. Bryan got to his feet and dragged Owen to his feet. Danielson nailed a huge elbow to Owen's face. Owen went down hard and Danielson locked on the Cattle Mutilation. Owen had no choice but to tap out at 5:11, but the fans know that this is not the last time that these two meet.
Bout #7: Main Event Return Bout Great Muta vs. Kevin Sullivan - Titan Death Match - This return bout from the last show was the bout that was buzzing all over the internet. Their first bout was a brutal war and this one should be no different. Fists started flying fast and furious and it quickly spilled out of the ring. Sullivan tried to whip Muta into the guardrail, but Muta slammed on the breaks. Muta answered with the mist to the eyes, and the fans went crazy. Muta slammed Sullivan down hard to the floor and then dropped a hard elbow drop. Kevin, rubbing his eyes, staggered to his feet and was met by Muta's hard knee strike to the back. Muta rolled Sullivan back in the ring and dropped another elbow. Like a cat, Muta sprang to the top rope and nailed his Moonsault. The ref counted three and the crowd popped. Sullivan tried to get to his feet, but as the ref closed in on the 10 for the 10-count, Sullivan slipped back down to the mat and it was over at 8:01. The crowd went nuts, as Muta put his fingers to his throat and spit the green mist off in celebration.

*Tonight's card will feature talent from the Shimmering Star promotion
Bout #1: Trish Stratus vs. Keira Winters - Stratus, a regular in CCW, gets the first challenge of the night as she faces Winters. Keira came out fast, but was unable to get off nearly any offense, as Trish showed why she is the front runner in the upcoming CCW Women's Title tournament. Trish took the fight to Winters and finished her off with her Stratufaction at 5:36.
Bout #2: Dutch Savage (from PNW) vs. Nigel McGuinness - CCW has been in contact with PNW about either working together or a talent exchange, so Dutch Savage and a few others were sent to take a look at Cove. Nigel was overpowered by Dutch's unrelenting early onslaught. Nigel escaped several close 2 counts. Dutch whipped Nigel into the ropes, but Nigel ducked the clothesline and nailed his Rebound Lariat to win at 13:01.
Bout #3: Nattie Neidhart vs. Nikki Roxx - Nattie, another member of the CCW roster, takes on the second challenge as she faces Nikki Roxx (note: Roxxi from TNA) here in the 3rd match. Roxx looked very impressive against Nattie and scored a minor upset with her Q-Tee Special at 4:17.
Bout #4: Steve Austin vs. The Rock - Why so early on the card for this bout? It was not on the original schedule, so it was shoehorned in here. Not there was much to see. Austin attacked Rock immediately and they went to the floor. Austin refused to yield to the ref's warnings, repeatedly hitting The Rock with a chair. The ref called for the DQ of Austin just 3:07 into the bout.
Bout #5: Kayla Sparks vs. Lacey - Lacey, known though out the Indy circuit as a top womens wrestler, figured this should be a quick match. It was, just not how she saw it. Kayla was whipped into the ropes, as Lacey jawed at some guy in the first row. It cost her, as Kayla nailed her with a huge clothesline. 1...2....3! Kayla scored a huge upset in a mere 19 seconds! Lacey was furious after the bout, so Kayla was wise to make a quick exit.
Bout #6: Randy Orton vs. Matt Hardy - In our first co-main event, bad blood started boiling early. It seems whenever Orton is involved, blood starts to boil....and usually spill on the mat. Orton tried for the RKO throughout the match, but only caught Matt once with it and that time Matt managed to get a foot under the ropes. They wrestled and brawled all over the ring and onto the floor. Both men used a chair and the guardrail to draw blood, but both knew this needed to be settled in the ring. Matt went for a Twist of Fate, but Orton turned it into an attempted RKO, but Matt pushed him off and nailed a big clothesline. Matt was able to finish off the bout at 23:40 with a flying elbow hammer.
Bout #7: Erick Stevens vs. Austin Aries - CCW TV Title - Aries knew that he would be out-sized here, but he also knows that he wins his matches by being quick and more accurate than his opponents. This is exactly was Aries started the bout doing. He hurt Erick with some hard moves, but was unable to get him down for a pin attempt. Stevens was able to swing the tide some with a good explosion of offense, but Aries regained control. Aries ran across the ring and attempted a splash, but Stevens moved and Austin crashed to the floor. Shaken by the miss and hard landing, Stevens capitalized and used his Sarasota Screwdriver to win the TV title at 12:10.

[glow=yellow,2,300]Cove Championship Wrestling[/glow] 8/4/08
Bout#1: Shimmering Star Title Tournament Qualifier Maria Kanellis vs. Nattie Neidhart - Maria looked very good in the opening minutes of this bout, until it spilled to the floor. Nattie and Maria battled on the floor (several times), which gave Nattie a huge advantage. Nattie used this brawling to weaken Maria and set-up the win with her Nattie By Nature at 11:04.
Bout #2: Shimmering Star Title Tournament Qualifier Lacey vs. Kayla Sparks - Sparks upended Lacey very quickly on the last show, so this rematch was highly anticipated, especially by Lacey. This match was a crazy war, as both women took turns brutalizing each other. This bout too saw the women spill to the floor and use everything that was not nailed down as a weapon. The ref came very close to DQing both women, but knowing what was on the line, he was more lenient. Back and forth this battle went, as they were in and out of the ring. Kayla finally used a piledriver on the floor to KO Lacey and sneak in to beat the 10 count. Kayla gets a spot in the tournament at 19:47 via COR.
*Before the 3rd bout, Super Dragon came to the ring and called out Erick Stevens. Stevens came out to the ring and as both men jawed at each other, an impromptu bout broke out for the TV Title.
Bout #3: Unscheduled CCW TV Title Match - Super Dragon caught Stevens with a series of fast offense and nailed the Dragon Twister at 0:57 for the win and the gold.
Bout #4: John Morrison vs. John Cena - Two men trying to move into the title picture, square off here in this bout. Good action, as Morrison was dominated by Cena, until he nailed a low blow and turned the tide. Morrison tried to set-up a side Russian legsweep, but Cena countered and nailed the FU to win at 9:14.
Bout #5: Edge vs. Jeff Hardy - Jeff and Edge make their debuts this week, as both men want to make a strong first impression, just as Randy Orton and Matt Hardy did on the last show. Hardy went for some high impact moves to open the bout, but Edge was able to counter. Edge attempted to use his Spear, but to no avail. Hardy went for more high impact moves, including a dive out of the ring, but Edge countered again and set up a nice missile dropkick for the win at 5:56.
Bout #6: Mike Quakenbush vs. Necro Butcher - As Mike walked to the ring, Butcher attacked. Necro used a chair to waffle Mike from behind and then rammed his head into the ring-post, drawing a good stream of blood from Mike's head. Necro then suplexed Mike onto the announce table, which did not break, but Mike was nearly broken in half. Necro rolled Mike into the ring and the bout began. Necro used some harsh moved on Mike, with little offense coming back from the bloody and weakened Quakenbush. Necro nailed the Tiger Driver at 2:11 for the win.
*note: Mike was taken to the hospital for stitches and observation & tests.
Bout #7: Nigel McGuinness vs. Gregory Helms - Nigel is looking to gain a rematch with Aries for the TV title or, ultimately, a Heavyweight Title match. Helms did not want to be anyone's stepping stone, came in fired up, but Nigel's quick and powerful offense gave him the advantage. As Helms was able to get Nigel to the floor, Gregory followed quickly behind. Gregory smashed Nigel with a steel chair, driving him to the ground. Helms disregarded the ref's instructions and used the cable from the camera to choke out Nigel. The ref had no option but to DQ Helms at 7:34, and award the bout to McGuinness.
Bout #8: CCW TV Title Match Austin Aries vs. Super Dragon - This was supposed to be the rematch of Stevens and Aries, but Stevens' loss to Dragon earlier in the night, meant that this match is Dragon defending his newly won gold against Aries. Dragon went fast and furious to open and scored a fast 2 count. Dragon fired Aries to the floor and followed him out with a big splash. Dragon rammed Aries head into the post and slid back in to break the count and went for a crazy flipping-dive over the top ropes. Aries moved out of the way at the last second and Dragon landed down on the floor and clipped his head on the apron. Aries dragged Dragon back in and used his brainbuster, followed by a 450 Splash to win the bout and regain the TV title at 8:41.

Round 1: Shimmering Star Title Tournament Bout #1: Trish Stratus (CCW) vs. Nattie Neidhart (CCW) - Trish started fast and did not let Nattie any chance for offense, as she scored a close two count. Nattie was able to countered Trish's attempted clothesline and scored the pin with a belly to back suplex at 3:17. It was the only move Nattie hit the entire bout.
Bout #2: Nikki Roxx (SS) vs. Kayla Sparks (SS) - Kayla beat Lacey on the last show to earn this first round match-up. Nikki took it directly to Kayla, knowing that since she upended a veteran like Lacey, she is dangerous. Nikki fired Kayla out of the ring after some early offense. Kayla climbed back in to eat a knee to the mouth. Roxx then nailed a hard suplex and fired back out to the floor. The ref started admonishing Nikki, as Lacey raced out to ring side and nailed Kayla with a chair shot. Lacey then dropped out of sight, as the ref counted Kayla out at 8:01. The situation between Kayla and Lacey is far from over.
Bout #3: Sara del Ray (SS) vs. Luna Vachon (NOTM) - An interesting match-up here, as the veteran Luna tangles with the younger del Ray. Each of these women are true powerhouses and tried to force their will on the other. It was a brutal battle, as each one took turns firing the other out of the ring. The action on the floor was intense, as the ref allowed these two women to push the rules, as this is an important title tournament. Both of them tasted the steel of the ring post, before returning to the ring. Inside the squared circle, they blistered each other with hard chops and kicks. Sara was finally able to catch Luna with the Butterfly Lock and turn it into a Powerslam for the win at 21:16.
Bout #4: MsChef (SS) vs. Lufisto (SS) - The internet buzz around this bout grew everyday since it was announced. MsChef and Lufisto have been on a collision course for months now, but have never locked up. These women made it very clear that neither of them thought this bout would last very long, as they tried to behead the other with stiff shots, including hard lariat style clotheslines. Lufisto went to the eyes of MsChef and then dropkicked her in the knee. Lufisto then opened up with some hard hitting moves and used her Emerald Fusion to take the win at 6:39.
Round #2: Semi-Finals Bout #4: Nattie Neidhart vs. Nikki Roxx - Nikki went out fast and furious at Nattie, but the daughter of The Anvil answered back with her own hard-hitting offense. Both women showed why they are in this tournament, as they went back and forth, until Nikki used a boot to the gut to get the advantage. Nikki attempted several (5) pins, including one where she hooked the tights, but could not keep the powerful Nattie down for the 3 count. After a hard knee to the head, Nikki locked on a Dragon Sleeper for the win at 13:51.
Bout #5: Sara del Ray vs. Lufisto - Sara looked exhausted from her intense bout with Luna, but put up a great effort her against the fresh Lufisto. Lufisto, knowing that Sara was worn down, went after her knees and lower back. Lufisto used her Emerald Fusion to win at 7:13.
Non-Tournament Bout: Bout #6: CCW TV Title Match Necro Butcher vs. Austin Aries (c) - Necro tried to use hit insane offense and big right hand to pummel the champ, but Aries is too good a technician to let that happen. Aries reversed the tide and tried to get Necro to submit to the Horns of Aries, but to no avail. Necro tried to battle back and even nailed some hard shots, but was unable to score more than a 2 count. Aries answered back with some hard kicks and won the bout at 10:07 following a brainbuster and 450 Splash to retain his title.
Round #3: Finals Nikki Roxx vs. Lufisto - Each path to the title bout as been different. Lufisto hit hard and fast, winning her bouts, while keeping herself healthy. Nikki had help in round one, but had a tough second round match with Nattie that definitely called up all her skill to win. Now they faced off in a great final bout, with both women wanting the gold for their own. Lufisto started the same way, with her hard strikes and kicks, but Nikki held her own. Nikki started blasting Lufisto's chest with huge chops until Lufisto thumbed her in the eye. The ref got right in Lufisto's face, but she pulled him into her chest with one hand and thumbed Nikki in the eye with the other. The ref reeled back, but Nikki was rubbing her eyes. A hard gut kick and then a clothesline, set-up the Emerald Fusion by Lufisto for the win at 8:06. Lufisto is crowned the first Shimmering Star champion!

Bout #4: CCW Tag Team Championship Match John Morrison & The Miz v. Bubba scored the pinfall on Miz at 11:04 after a 3-D to retain the gold.
Bout #5: NOTM Championship - Cage Kevin Sullivan vs. Vampiro - Brutal is too weak a word to describe the carnage that both men wrought during the ten minutes of this crazy title bout. Both men were bleeding within the opening minutes, Vampiro from Sullivan's Golden Spike and Sullivan from the cage. As each man lost blood, each move got more important. Sullivan slapped on the Satanic Sleeper and choked the rest of the life out of Vampiro, winning the bout and the title at 10:07.
-- Intermission-- {read as: clean up the ring!}
Bout #6: CCW TV Title Match Super Dragon vs. Austin Aries (c) - This one picked up where the last one left off. Both men were using everything in their arsenals to try and one-up the other. Super Dragon scored what looked like a 3 count with his Dragon Twister, but after the ref counted 3, he saw Aries foot on the ropes and waved it off. Dragon was furious at the ref and started getting in his face. Aries drove Dragon out of the ring and to the floor. On the floor, Aries grabbed a steel chair and nailed Dragon across the back. The ref called for the bell for a DQ, but Dragon screamed not to DQ him. The ref started arguing with Dragon and Dragon begged to not have Aries DQed because he wanted to beat him. The ref restarted the bout at 10:07. Aries, now basically having a no-DQ stipulation added, went to work on Dragon. Dragon also took advantage of this and used the ring post to blur Aries vision. Both men finally got back in the ring and continued the war. Aries nailed his brainbuster, but instead of the 450, he locked on the the Horns of Aries for the win at 26:10.
Bout #7: Shimmering Star Championship Match Sara del Ray vs. Lufisto (c) - A great bout here as both women wanted to prove that they belong in this co-main event position. Sara opened with some hard hitting suplexes and had Lufisto in a bad position. Lufisto refused to stay down and battled back. Both women spilled to the floor and battled hard. Lufisto went to the eyes of Sara and then nailed her with a chair. The ref warned her and threatened to DQ her. Lufisto did it again, with the same result. Seeing that she was not DQed for the chair shots, Lufisto piledrove Sara onto the announce table, smashing the table in the process. This was more than could be allowed, and then ref DQed Lufisto at 17:43. Lufisto lost the bout, but retained her title.
Bout #8: CCW Heavyweight Title Match Dr. Wagner, Jr vs. "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson - CCW has stepped up its talent signings, bringing in the best talent that they can sign. Dr. Wagner, Jr has recently been hitting the international indy circuit and CCW was able to get him here tonight. Wagner tried to overpower Danielson, but Danielson's technical skill helped turn the tide in his favor. This match ebbed and flowed, as each man gained an advantage for a short period and then the tide would turn. Danielson went for a suplex, but Wagner escaped and drove a big kick into Danielson's stomach. Wagner was able to nail his Wagner Driver to win the gold at 19:03, This is the not the last battle between these two warriors.
