DESTRUCTION Card Update, G1 Tag League Teams:
10/9/11 - "DESTRUCTION"; Tokyo Dome: 1.) Special Tag Match: Dr. Wagner Jr. and Silver Kain (LLI) vs. Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson 2.) IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: Jushin Liger and Tiger Mask defend vs. KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji 3.) IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship: Katsuhiko Nakajima defends vs. Shuji Kondo 4.) IWGP Tag Team Championship: Akira Taue and Toshiaki Kawada defend vs. Giant Bernard and Scott Norton 5.) Andre the Giant, Antonio Inoki, and Giant Baba vs. Keiji Muto, Yuji Nagata, and Shinya Hashimoto 6.) IWGP Heavyweight Championship: Satoshi Kojima defends vs. Jun Akiyama
Announced today for the upcoming Tokyo Dome show were two major tag matches as Dr. Wagner Jr. teams up with his brother Silver Kain to take on The Young Bucks. Also, the Holy Demon Army prepare to make their V1 defense of the IWGP Tag Titles as they take on nWo Japan's Scott Norton and Giant Bernard!
Also announced today are the teams for the G1 Tag League.
BLOCK A: Yoshihiro Takayama and Minoru Suzuki (2010 G1 Tag League Winners) Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan Keiji Muto and Yuji Nagata Akira Taue and Toshiaki Kawada Bruiser Brody (AJPW) and Jimmy Snuka (NWA) Wade Barrett (WWE) and Justin Gabriel (WWE)
BLOCK B: Hiroshi Tanahashi and Go Shiozaki Andre the Giant and Giant Baba Jun Akiyama and Kenta Kobashi Scott Norton and Giant Bernard Hawk Warrior and Animal Warrior Kensuke Sasaki and Takeshi Morishima
Only two interpromotional teams in this year's tournament, which is interesting. Block A looks like it'll be competitive, especially with Takayama and Suzuki attempting to repeat as winners. Block B will most likely be dominated by the Giants or Road Warriors. The team of Barrett and Gabriel is a funny choice for a WWE team, it'll be fun to see what they can accomplish.

*The brothers vs. brothers match opened the show, and saw Silver Kain and Dr. Wagner Jr. winning decisively as the visiting Silver Kain put down Matt Jackson. *WWE's Yoshi Tatsu returned for another match in the Tokyo Dome, this time meeting Shinjiro Otani. It was a good match that saw NJPW prevail again via a spiral bomb. *KENSUKE OFFICE took on the team of Brody and Snuka in a hard hitting bout that went around the ringside area. Akiyama hit several of his big moves, including an exploder off the apron, but it wasn't enough to best the IWGP Champion. Kojima said he wants to dominate the G1 Tag League before thinking about his next title defense.
