I, for one, am astonished that Nexus won the first match. No doubt that's the only one they get, especially given the competition they face in the other five teams.

Andre/Baba and the Road Warriors are both undefeated. They'll meet on the 10/20 show, and I'm really interested in playing that match because in theory, if any team can beat the Giants, it's LOD. Block A looks like it could go either way, TenKoji's next league match is vs. Nexus on the next show. Don't see Nexus winning that.

Final Wrestle Kingdom II Card:
Announced today at a press conference, here is the card for next week's Wrestle Kingdom II in Tokyo Dome.
1/4/12 (WPW/PPV/iPPV/njpw.tv), "WRESTLE KINGDOM II in Tokyo Dome"; Tokyo Dome: 1.) WRESTLE KINGDOM START ~ Special Tag Match: Abismo Negro, Psicosis, and Electroshock vs. Aerostar (LLI), Mistico (LLI), and Silver Kain (LLI) 2.) SUPER J RETURN ~ Special Tag Match: The Great Sasuke (M-Pro), Koji Kanemoto (AJPW), El Samurai (AJPW), and Super Delfin (M-Pro) vs. Jushin Liger, Tiger Mask, Katsuhiko Nakajima, and Shinjiro Otani 3.) PRIMAL SHOWDOWN ~ Special Single Match: Vladimir Kozlov (NWA) vs. Nikolai Volkoff (LWF) 4.) JOSHI TAKEOVER ~ Special Tag Match: Manami Toyota (LWF), Akira Hokuto (LWF), Reggie Bennett (LWF), and Aja Kong (LWF) vs. Amazing Kong (LWF), Bull Nakano (LWF), Lioness Asuka (LWF), and Kyoko Inoue (LWF) 5.) NJPW vs. LUCHA LIBRE ~ IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship: Juventud Guerrera (LLI) and Rey Misterio Jr. (LLI) defend vs. Naomichi Marufuji and KENTA 6.) SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT vs. KING OF SPORTS ~ Special Tag Match: John Cena (WWE) and Randy Orton (WWE) vs. The Great MUTA and Jun Akiyama 7.) GOODBYE INOKI! ~ Antonio Inoki Retirement Match: Antonio Inoki vs. Giant Baba 8.) WE ARE ONE ~ Special Tag Match: Wade Barrett (WWE) and Justin Gabriel (WWE) vs. Yoshihiro Takayama and Minoru Suzuki 9.) IWGP Tag Team Championship: Akira Taue and Toshiaki Kawada defend vs. Togi Makabe and Giant Bernard 10.) NJPW vs. nWo Japan ~ Special Tag Match: Masahiro Chono, Scott Norton, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, and Shuji Kondo vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Go Shiozaki, Shinya Hashimoto, and Yuji Nagata 11.) FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL ~ IWGP Heavyweight Championship: Satoshi Kojima defends vs. Takeshi Morishima
And now my rundown of the card.
A lucha opener is essentially the same thing as last year. Given the six involved, this could be a very fun start to the show if given time. Again, SuperLuchas is covering the event, so a more detailed breakdown of everything is to be expected.
Not sure how I feel putting this match on right after the lucha tag. It's two similar styles and I think it'll burn out the crowd before the later Jr. Title match.
Kozlov and Koloff is one of the bigger feuds going on in the LWF. Not sure why it's happening on the show other than to squeeze another promotion's match onto the card.
Joshi match looks great on paper. Definitely eight women who deserve to be showcased on a major event in the Dome. Hoping they're given enough time to bring a memorable performance.
Another Super Junior style match in the Jr. Tag title match. This is the, to my knowledge, fourth time this match has taken place. Each other time has been great, and I expect it to be no different in the Dome. I see KENTAFuji regaining the belts.
WWE's sending over their top two guys for the Dome to face the debuting Great MUTA and Jun Akiyama. Muto, who spoke on part of MUTA, said that MUTA is looking forward to facing the Sports Entertainment team. I see WWE winning this one.
Inoki's retiring!....with little to no build. I'd hazard the comment that Baba should go too, but this will likely be a good match to send Inoki off.
The Nexus are back...and facing off with Takayama and Suzuki. They beat GENBARU during the G1 Tag League, so I'm assuming this is where they return the loss. Not expecting a ton from that match.
Holy Demon Army vs. nWo is going to be a great match. There's enough there as far as the four participants go to carry this off, and HDA need a convincing title defense after their poor performance in the G1 Tag League and the hour draw vs. TenKoji.
NJPW vs. nWo Japan has all kinds of potential, and given it's the semifinal, has a really tough four matches to follow. The idea here, I guess, is that if NJPW wins, the guy who scores the win gets first show at winner of Kojima and Morishima, or that nWo are just going to win and the kids will cry.
Kojima's been a great champion so far, that's for sure. He fought off the threat of Yuji Nagata, and Jun Akiyama, both with ease. Morishima's been on a pretty big tear as of late, so he's got to be the favorite coming in. This is the one match on the card, to me, that could go either way, but I'm going to pick Kojima.
All in all, this should be a FANTASTIC card of wrestling.

1/4/12 (WPW/PPV/iPPV/njpw.tv), "WRESTLE KINGDOM II in Tokyo Dome"; Tokyo Dome:
1.) WRESTLE KINGDOM START ~ Special Tag Match: Aerostar (LLI), Mistico (LLI), and Silver Kain (LLI) beat Abismo Negro, Psicosis, and Electroshock (13:04) when Kain used the Silver driver on Psicosis. - Excellent match with each team hitting their big moves. Aerostar hit a dive into the third row on Abismo. The highlight of the match was probably a gutwrench suplex off the apron onto a table from Abismo to Aerostar.
2.) SUPER J RETURN ~ Special Tag Match: Jushin Liger, Tiger Mask, Katsuhiko Nakajima, and Shinjiro Otani beat The Great Sasuke (M-Pro), Koji Kanemoto (AJPW), El Samurai (AJPW), and Super Delfin (M-Pro) (7:53) when Otani used a spiral bomb on Delfin. - As expected, following the opener, the fans didn't want to see another fast-paced juniors match. Good match, but the card position was all wrong.
3.) PRIMAL SHOWDOWN ~ Special Single Match: Vladimir Kozlov (NWA) vs. Nikolai Volkoff (LWF) went to a double disqualification. (6:50) - There wasn't a lot to this match other than slow, monotonous brawling. The ending didn't endear these two guys to the fans, either. They proceeded to brawl to the back after the match was done.
4.) JOSHI TAKEOVER ~ Special Tag Match: Manami Toyota (LWF), Akira Hokuto (LWF), Reggie Bennett (LWF), and Aja Kong (LWF) beat Amazing Kong (LWF), Bull Nakano (LWF), Lioness Asuka (LWF), and Kyoko Inoue (LWF) (14:19) when Aja used the uraken on Inoue. - As expected, these four delivered a great match. There was tension between Toyota and Hokuto throughout the match, which their opponents took advantage of, but in the end the backfist from Aja Kong would be the deciding factor.
5.) NJPW vs. LUCHA LIBRE ~ IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship: Naomichi Marufuji and KENTA beat Juventud Guerrera (LLI) and Rey Misterio Jr. (LLI) (17:41) when Marufuji used an avalanche shiranui on Misterio to become the 5th champions. - The best ouf of all of their matches, both teams gave it their all here. Misterio hit a springboard hurracarana on KENTA, who was standing near the barricade, which sent him into the crowd. Juventud's mask was ripped by Marufuji, and he bled as a result. A couple of really nasty superkicks lead to the finish.
6.) SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT vs. KING OF SPORTS ~ Special Tag Match: The Great MUTA and Jun Akiyama beat John Cena (WWE) and Randy Orton (WWE) (10:39) when MUTA used a super frankensteiner on Orton. - Not as good of a match as I was expecting from these four, but at the same time, they have limited experience as teams. Akiyama came in full heel mode, knee dropping and slapping the WWE superstars with everything he had, much to the delight of the Tokyo Dome crowd. Cena looked like he hurt his arm here when he gave MUTA a suplex on the floor. Good finish.
7.) GOODBYE INOKI! ~ Antonio Inoki Retirement Match: Antonio Inoki vs. Giant Baba went to a time limit draw. (30:00) - This was a long match in every sense. It was slow, and in some cases, a boring match until they started hitting the big moves. The crowd responded like it was the best match ever, so I guess that's all that counts. They shook hands after the match.
8.) WE ARE ONE ~ Special Tag Match: Wade Barrett (WWE) and Justin Gabriel (WWE) beat Yoshihiro Takayama and Minoru Suzuki (7:55) when Barrett used the wasteland on Suzuki. - Way too short of a match to have meant anything, it seemed just like it was a filler match. Takayama didn't see much in ring action, and the chemistry just wasn't there between Nexus and MiSu. Not a very good match at all.
9.) IWGP Tag Team Championship: Togi Makabe and Giant Bernard beat Akira Taue and Toshiaki Kawada (22:17) when Makabe used a king kong knee drop on Kawada to become the 4th champions. - Really bloody match which saw everyone but Bernard gushing buckets. A lot of use of weapons such as tables and chairs in this match, you'd think Kawada and Taue wouldn't mesh well with it, but they managed to do it. Taue hit a chokeslam through a table on Makabe, and Kawada wrapped Makabe's chain around his leg before kicking Makabe, making blood fly with each kick. Bernard Bomb was followed up with the knee drop to end the Holy Demon Army title reign. Very good match.
10.) NJPW vs. nWo Japan ~ Special Tag Match: Masahiro Chono, Scott Norton, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, and Shuji Kondo beat Hiroshi Tanahashi, Go Shiozaki, Shinya Hashimoto, and Yuji Nagata (24:16) when Chono used a yakuza kick on Nagata. - Really good, long match and I'm glad it didn't drag at any point. Tanahashi was the start of the match, bumping and selling everything nWo Japan did to him like he was just that much closer to death. Hashimoto pummeled practically the entire team, making fans in attendance think that New Japan stood a chance. Chono skewered those hopes with one kick to Nagata, as nWo Japan won their second match in a row.
11.) FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL ~ IWGP Heavyweight Championship: Satoshi Kojima beat Takeshi Morishima (10:51) with a lariat. (4th defense) - Short, sweet, and to the point. Just two dudes hammering each other with big moves, which was a nice contrast from everything else on the show. Kojima hit the Koji cutter very early on, but Morishima quickly recovered, hitting a lariat. Morishima couldn't hit the backdrop driver, as Koji countered it, and hit the lariat to seal his V4 Title Defense, and nWo Japan's third straight victory.
