Oh yeah, Zombieland is a good movie. Very funny, with solid effects throughout.

Friday's fare... Well written but poorly executed film about Southern political corruption. Crawford in a role 15 years too young for her...Sidney Greenstreet (usually, always good)...tries to keep up a southern accent...Zachary Scott slept walked through his role. Bonus for finding "Mr. Drucker" in a few scenes...Fred Clarke good in a limited role...good role for Gladys George (if you can focus on one of her eyes).

Geez, a lot of old or shitty and old and shitty movies. Big Fish and Zombieland are sweet though. Shawshank rules.

The Ginderdead Man is good, but I am partial to Jack Frost and Jack Frost 2! {eventhough they are NOT Full Moon / Charles Band movies}

I would have to add these two movies in my top five gangster films of all time. Best movie about Dillinger I've ever seen. Fast paced and never boring it holds your interest from start to finish. Warren Oates is perfect for this part This might be in my top two if it wasn't for Jason Robards playing the part of Al Capone. The film was great otherwise. I think the best Al Capone was Robert Deniro in the untouchables. Funny thing is I feel just the opposite about the Untouchables. The part of Al Capone was great but the rest of the movie sucked.

The only movie I had time to watch this weekend. Good movie...but departure for Wayne who plays a single father/football coach. I really liked Charles Coburn in the movie as well.

Sling Blade when I first watched it I didn't know that was Billy Bob, he not only made a very excellent film but played a very good role with the cast from Duvall to John Ritter...

Watched Stephen King's IT the other night. Am in the process of reading the book, wanted to compare the two.

Not to get off on a tangential rant...BUT...
Stephen King is probably the top writer today. His short stories are excellent. His novel writing is great...until he has to tie everything together. Look at The Stand and IT....both great works...until you get to the final hundred or so pages...these are the ending he comes up with? Really?
Again, I have great respect for his writing...he just needs someone to help him with the endings.

IT was one of my favorite Stephen King novels along with Pet Semetary, The Green Mile, The Stand, and The Shining. I thought the IT movie was decent especially for a made for TV movie. Richard Thomas and Tim Curry were perfect for the parts. Comparing the other movies to the books I hated Pet Sematary, The Stand ( also a made for TV movie) was decent, The Green Mile was good except for the fact they changed the story by cutting out the nursing home attendant which really annoyed me. The Shining was great but the remake of the movie was more true to the book. I agree with Graymar that Stephen King needs help with the endings of his books
