It's nice to see two guys fighting for the world title that inexplicably had little singles success for me in any of my Feds. I wanted them to but they always fell flat for me.

I also have the Gang & Bundy as a team in WWC Puerto Rico. J.D. Michaels was World Jr. champ for me, beating Liger!

Brody has always been a beast for me, Doc has been hit and miss. He hasnt really done well in the big matches until he beat Hennig for the title. So far Brody has had his number in non title matches.

I also have the Gang & Bundy as a team in WWC Puerto Rico. J.D. Michaels was World Jr. champ for me, beating Liger! I thought they would make a natural team. Both were in Devastation Inc. in the Mid South and I dont think I ever saw them tag up. Being we dont have Skandor Akbar in Legends yet Ive been using Sir Oliver Humperdink as their manager. Together along with Bruiser Brody they are known in NLW as Three Tons Of Terror.

NLW Homecoming Ford Center, Oklahoma City, OK
Buff Bagwell vs. Diamond Dallas Page Bagwell came to the ring playing to the crowd and posing. When the bell rang he still kept playing to the crowd and DDP took advantage of the moment much to the fans delight! DDP made short work of Bagwell and put him away with the DIAMOND CUTTER.
Al Snow vs. Belgian Brawler Snow dominates The Belgian Brawler and quickly defeats him after two SNOW PLOWS
Masked Superstars vs. Road Warriors Excellent tag match between two powerhouse teams. The Superstars got in some heavy shots but in the end the Road Warriors win out with double team manuevers and the DOOMSDAY DEVICE
Ladder Match for the TV Title JD Michaels(c) vs. Rob Van Dam Both men spent the majority of the time wearing one another down. After a long battle RVD puts Michaels down with the Van Daminator and grabs the ladder. He climbs the ladder but Michaels meets him at the top. RVD knocks Michaels off the ladder sending him outside the ring. RVD grabs the belt to become the new NLW TV Champion.
World Tag Team Title Match The Armstrongs (Brad and Brian)(c) vs. One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy The Armstrongs used their speed and agility to offset the big men tonight and kept them from getting too close. Brad and Brian made quick tags and eventually wore the huge duo down enough to score a quick pin. Sir Oliver Humperdink was livid with his men!
Steel Cage Match for the World Title Steve Williams(c) vs. Bruiser Brody This was not a night for the Three Tons of Terror as Doc kicked it into high gear tonight. Brody may have beaten Doc twice in non title matches but with the title on the line Doc tore into his challenger hitting him with multiple lariats, a Doctor Bomb, an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE before ramming him into the cage for good measure finally ending the match with a second Doctor Bomb. Doc left the cage and was met with a fuming Sir Oliver Humperdink. Doc grabbed Humperdink and rammed his face into the cage before walking off with his World Title belt held high in the air.

I figured RVD would win. Goodbye, J.D.! The main event was a solid read... one of those matches you'd want to see in real life!

The show begins with Sir Oliver Humperdink coming out to the ring followed by Bruiser Brody and the One Man Gang. Humperdink announces that he has turned a huge lemon into lemonade. He explained that he fired King Kong Bundy for being pinned in the tag title match at Homecoming. (The truth is Bundy jumped ship to AACW this past week) Humperdink also announced that he had a new man signed and that he would be revealed later. He then warned the NLW World Champion, Dr. Death Steve Williams that although One Man Gang would be facing him in a non title match this was nothing more than a warm up to soften up Dr. Death for the real match. With that he and his men left to celebrate his latest acquisition. Bullet Bob Armstrong vs. JD MichaelsMichaels went at the veteran with a vengeance. He hit numerous suplexes and worked Armstrong's back over. Michaels then hits three TOP ROPE ELBOW DROPS which Armstrong kicks out each time! Armstrong counters a ropes whip and locks on the SLEEPER to get the victory. April Hunter was livid... first her man loses the TV Title, then loses to D'Lo Brown in the North American Title Tournament Finals, now this! The Sheik vs, The Missing LinkThis match ended quickly with The Sheik finally throwing fire in the Link's face causing the referee to disqualify him. The Sheik then put Link into the CAMEL CLUTCH and refused to release it until security pulled him off. Link lay motionless in the ring before medics removed him on a stretcher.Danny Hodge vs. Bob RoopHodge got minimal offense in as Roop control the match. Within a couple minutes Roop hits the SHOULDER BREAKER for the duke.Bill Apter's guest on the Hot Seat was North American Champion D'Lo Brown. They discussed the tournament and the men Brown defeated to go through the tournament, Boogie Woogie Man, Dick Hutton, and JD Michaels. The interview went well until "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers came out to interrupt. He told Brown that the only reason Brown won the title is because Rogers wasnt in the tournament. Brown told Rogers that "It wasnt his problem" and brushed off Rogers rudeness. This angered Rogers who then slapped Brown in the face! This triggered a brawl that destroyed the Hot Seat set and sent Bill Apter looking for cover before security broke the fight up. Television Title MatchRob Van Dam(c) vs. Ray StevensStevens got the first shots in flooring RVD with a jumping knee smash and then following with a Crippling Piledriver...RVD managed to recover and hit the split legged moonsault following with the Van Daminator knocking Stevens out cold but giving The Crippler a disqualification victory.Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Don Leo JonathanThe NLW Giant gave Orton a whooping before he finished him with the MORMON SWING.Hacksaw Duggan & Boogie Woogie Man vs. The Masked SuperstarsExcellent tag team match that the crowd really gor into the action was back and forth with each team being very rough with the other. All four men hit their finishers during the match. It was hard to tell who would walk out victorious but in the end Duggan and Boogie Woogie Man get the victory after a vertical suplex by Duggan on Masked Superstar I.Johnny Valentine vs. Mil MascarasThis match ends early and abruptly when it spills outside, a brawl erupts and the match is deemed a no contest.Non Title MatchWorld Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams vs. One Man GangBoth these men brutally slugged it out with one another. Midway through the match OMG hit the 747 on Williams but Williams surprisingly kicked out at two. Doc fought back hard and finally put OMG down after 4 OKLAHOMA STAMPEDES. After the match a man ran into the ring and viciously assualted the champ, it was Don Muraco! Muraco used the Asiatic Spike on Doc and then hit the HAWAIIAN HAMMER. Muraco grabbed the World Title holding it high as he stood over a prone Steve Williams. Oliver Humperdink came down and shook the hand of Muraco before they left together with William's World Title belt.
