Superstar was the shiz-nit. The cards had numbers and you filled in the names. I remember the friggin card numbers because I used them to remember my row number at the mall!! "We're parked in row 24. Larry Zybszko is number 24. Remember that." If you have the cards, I remember 20 + years ago. Please confirm my tardnation!! This was my favorite game time. I had one bootleg - me. I booked many cards. I was champ from time to time with a memorable feud with Bam Bam Bigelow. At one point I decided it was lame to have a card on me and had me injured by Bigelow. Months later a mysterious bearded wrestler appeared billed as Lex Luger's brother. We teamed up for awhile before my true identity as the former champ was revealed. What was Greg Valentine's number ? You assume he showed up to get a number

Very cool Trav, I think i'll actually use him as some random early 80s guy no one has heard of. I picture him looking like a cross between Johnny Fever and Doctor Detroit with a Dracula cape. . Im bored at work so ideas are poppin in my head about this guy. Im thinking the Vampire Lunge could be a Spear... Except he stands a chance of missing or backfiring cause he has shitty eye sight.

I almost bought that, but I was sad they never made updated guys, and the whole time thing. It's not quite wrestling ,but I played Title Bout alot, too.. very cool boxing game Speaking of Boxing games.. the makers of Superstar Pro Wrestling made a Rocky Boxing Game. I was always curious about that game... shouldve forked the cash over, oh well. I definitely remember it advertised and wish I would have checked it out. If I'm not mistaken, didn't it include Rocky, Apollo Creed, Drago and Clubber Lang?

You can find this game on e-bay but don't get it confused( like I did) with something called the original superstar pro wrestling game. The original superstar pro wrestling game is different and not as good.

Here is the game I played on my old Commadore 64, it was released in 1986... Arcade-style game about wrestling, featuring 8 different characters, like K.C. Colossus or Prince Vicious, and 25 different moves, like leg drops, spin kicks, body slams, rope bouncing, flying drop kicks and the so-called "infamous" atomic drop. You can even throw your opponent off the ring. Scoring is based on the complexity of your moves.
Two-player hot-seat feature available as well, and up to 8 players can play in the same championship.

The original superstar pro wrestling game is different and not as good. I bought this game too back in 2000. I bought the Monday Night Wars edition. It was indeed different from Superstar Pro Wrestling but to me it was still fun once you got over the learning curve.

I found another wrestling game. This one is at least 10 years old maybe a little more. Xtreme Fantasy Wrestling. Came with 32 wrestler sheets. Roll 2d6 on charts for light moves, heavy moves, 1d6 on into the ropes, into the turnbuckle, pin/submission. By Bloodsword Games.

I like the way the whole heavy moves and light moves being separate charts sounds.

Ha! Like the new section! Anyhow, anyone heard of John Harwood's "Original" Superstar Wrestling Game? Anyone have it? Willing to part with it or scan it at least?

I've heard people mention it, but never in a good way, more like in a 'I thought it was the other superstar wrestling' sorta way.

I've heard people mention it, but never in a good way, more like in a 'I thought it was the other superstar wrestling' sorta way. Yeah same here but I enjoyed the "dumbed down" version. The bad part is the guy who sells this game used to lead you to believe they are one and the same. However, lately he's toned that down alittle bit... though he now sells copies of Superstar Pro Wrestling on ebay along with his version.
