What, Quackenbush is creating a character? Quack is the character. I think he just agreed to his likeness.

Guys - Was directed to this thread last night so I'm here to be cool and answer some of the questions and invite you guys to enter GWFZ Territories. Heh, sounds cool. I'm pretty sure even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be allowed Of course you are allowed to enter. Anyone who wants in is welcome. No reason to let anything get in the way of yours or anyone elses creative spark! Do you get to do the stats or does Rob do that for all the characters and you just give him a name and background? I also thought as he said the more people in this the less it would cost. Seems like a lot of people were doing a character. It all depends. Most people write their own cards. Some people give me names of finishers, -3 moves etc... and ask me to put it together. Everyone works directly with me on their card from the rough to the final. It's a total team project. Looks like we'll have around 80-90 cards in the set. When you print that many guys the cost is obviously very low due to the bulk. This allows us to sell the set for 30 bucks. If people are creating a character, it's an extra 20 for art and shipping. Werner charges, what, $15 these days? Then there's the printing costs, shipping, paypal, and I heard that Swarm actually paid for the rights to do the set (though it was only 1 source, so I can't be certain about that). Assuming there are as many guys as there seems to be, I'd say $50 is a decent deal. Thanks, and is a good deal. Bulk is king! We're just in this to break even. I love working on the sets and this set is designed to give everyone who never won the opportunity to create a GWFZ character to do so. It's also a huge platform for anyone who creates a bootleg from this point on to plug them right into one of the GWFZ Territories. It's defintley the last Z set but it's designed so that the Z lives forever. I'm a little confused as to how much, or maybe my question is, why does Rob have so much to do with someone's submission? I mean if you create the character, write a bio, do the stats, what all does he have to do with it? I see people saying he did all this work on your guy so I'm just wondering why. Does he just help with background or is he trying to mold all the card stats to fit some vision of his own as to how all these characters shoudl fit together. Enter a character and find out! I know you want to create a woman wrestler! What, Quackenbush is creating a character? Nah, Quack agreed to be part of the set with a future Mike Quackenbush card. He'll be from Earth and part of the All-Earth Territory, and be aligned with a famous GWF race on the hero team. Mike and I are friends, so I asked him to join and he said yes! It's just one of the many surprises in the set. Here's the deal guys. I've got no beef with any of you. I'd like to extend an olive branch by inviting each and every one of you to create a character in the set, even though the deadline has passed. If there is one thing we can all agree on, it's that Werner is one hell of an up and coming artist. If you think his work in the GWFZ has been good, wait until you see what's coming next (and soon!). As a show of good faith, I've gone ahead and designed *NEW* new VARSITY, and have done so in the mold that Christian MaCleoud originally created him. One of the big features of GWFZ Territories is a batch of original bootleg legends from the early 2000's. I wanted Varsity to best represent himself during that era. When I first brought Varsity to the GWFZ I did it because I was a huge fan of the character. He's been a huge hit with over 300 copies of him being mailed out over the past few years. Now he'll get a Main Event card in the Z and stats and art as a tribute to exactly how Christian created him. I really hope you guys take me up on this offer. If you are interested in being part of this set, I can give you until the end of the month to contact Todd or myself about joining. Peace! Swarm

I'm in already. I'm just patiently waiting for my card to show up in the promos or to see his art. More like eagerly waiting but we'll pretend it's patiently waiting.

It's nice to see Christian get acknowledged, he really contributed alot to the early GWF bootleg scene, and hasn't got much love lately.
I don't think I personally have anything I'd want to put into a fed I've never played or seen, but I do think the set is an awesome deal price-wise.

This sounds great Rob! Really forthright of you.
I think I'd like to do the update of Duplos that I've always had in mind for them (two separate cards). Then do two cards for the rivals I always had in mind for them.
I'll send a message to Todd and get the ball rolling. I have their stats pretty much all worked out already so it won't take long to get all the info.

Very happy the new original Varsity is getting positive reviews. If anyone out there knows how to contact Christian, I'd like to work with him on creating the stats for this card. If anyone is able to talk to him, please ask him to get in contact with me at rdbeaubien@yahoo.com
FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS SUBMITTED A CHARACTER OR CHARACTERS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN DRAWN YET -
They are coming! We have a TON of guys to get through so please be patient. Werner is currently working as hard as he ever has on not only GWFZT but a SUPER DOUBLE TOP SECRET PROJECT that everyone will see soon!
If you're ever looking for an update on how the set is going or how close your guy is to being drawn, hit me up in a PM!
Rob

Christian does read this board.... I'm sure he'll get the message. He's not much into CoTG these days, though.

man still wish I had enough money to do my tag team. 20 bucks wouldn't kill me but the extra 40 for the second wrestler would be too much for me right now.... (best Chuck Brown) AARRRGGGH!
