This thread is to gauge general interest in doing a play by post game for the Squared Circle RPG. If we get six people interested I think we can make it work. Ty has posted a link to the book in the Other Wrestling Games thread.
I also think we should consider going with the 80s supplement for the game. I also know of online dice rolling programs and we can create a Yahoo page for character sheets and such.
So post if you're interested and post ideas for fed name suggestions.

I'll probably get the 80s supplement in a few weeks.

I'm interested but not sure how we could work this out. Do we run our own feds and or one big one ?.Since there are a lot of rules to read through I think it's best to start out with just the basic rules but that's up to everyone else

It would be one big one with people controlling some wrestlers. My thought is we'd run television with squash matches and then you'd only have to worry about a single arena match every month. I agree, starting with the basics would be a good idea.

I'd be interested. I just picked up Squared Circle and would be totally down for some PBP.

Todd sent me the 80s sourcebook. It's now on my download site. Thanks.
If we get enough people interested in playing, I could start looking at the book to run the game. Maybe one singles wrestler and one tag team per player if you want to run that many wrestlers.
We could think about doing the stats in LOW form instead of the rpg and roll the matches that way. Just an idea.

I think what we should do first is create the characters and then post the stats here. Once we have all that done we could figure out the matches and then take turns rolling and posting the results. Maybe one card a month ?

I was figuring running television where you got to run over jobbers and just have a GM run that real quick. And then have everyone focus for real on one card a month. So you'd get say two squash matches a month and then a real match. Just to keep the fed flowing better.

We could think about doing the stats in LOW form instead of the rpg and roll the matches that way. Just an idea. That would defeat the purpose of playing a RPG ...........I also think we could start with one wrestler each........then work up to adding a tag team if we choose. I saw on one of the boards that they had a program that would show the dice rolls in the forum posts.......that way the program generates the die rolls and no one could question the rolls......not sure how it works, but thought it was a cool idea.

No, defeating the purpose of an rpg is what I took Todd to be saying and just play the matches. It's still an rpg regardless the system used for rolling the matches. IF we're writing up promos and interviews, etc. and making it a role-playing game with our posts.

I made up most of a character tonight. Fairly easy system as far as creation goes.

I'm working on a character. An example would have been nice. Not sure if I'm doing all this right. After rolling the stats, I looked at the numbers listed for level 1 and rolled those dice, added them to hit points and endurance points, and also rolled the bonus dice listed for the endurance stat and added those. I came up with 30 health and 21 endurance.
Thought of something else, maybe each of us saying we're going to play a face or heel would help so we can keep the total numbers of each fairly even.
