In my 2125 fed, Commissioner Sly Drury defeated Endgame to win the Galaxian Championship. I was really excited by this because the storyline opportunities are just amazing.
Anyways, I was thinking of having him do an Erich Bischoff during the nWo era type deal. He'll lose the belt and come up with some technicality to nullify the title change and give himself the belt back. I've already had him use his commissioner powers to nullify Endgame's champion rematch clause to get out of facing him.
Now, my question is. Am I devaluing the Galaxian Championship or am I creating a situation where the fans will be so rabid to see Drury lose that the angle will ultimately work out.
Spoilers to the angle. Omega will ultimately come out and overrule Sly Drury and reverse one of his decisions to ultimately end his reign of terror.

At first the fans would be rapid to see Drury get his. I wouldn't recommend you drag the angle out too long, or you do end up with an nWo/Hollywood Hogan scenario where the title loses its mystique and the fans turn on the angle as well.

I coulda sworn I responded to this...
I like it... it's a good story, and while it devalues Drury's reign as champ, as long as it goes back to 'normal' once a face beats him the integrity of the title will be fine, imo.

I coulda sworn I responded to this... Ditto. As long as you don't have things turn into a joke, you are not devaluating the title. No one-finger wins or stupid walk-out bullshit, then things could really work well.
