Looks like it's gonna be a hell of a night. UFC 129 "ST-PIERRE VS. SHIELDS", 4/30/2011 (PPV/ESPN-UK) Rogers Centre, Toronto Ontario Canada Welterweight Championship: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Jake Shields Featherweight Championship: José Aldo (c) vs. Mark Hominick Light Heavyweight bout: Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida Light Heavyweight bout: Matt Hamill vs. Phil Davis Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson Welterweight bout: Rory MacDonald vs. Nate Diaz Welterweight bout: Sean Pierson vs. Brian Foster Welterweight bout: Claude Patrick vs. Daniel Roberts Featherweight bout: Yves Jabouin vs. Pablo Garza Bantamweight bout: Ivan Menjivar vs. Charlie Valencia Middleweight bout: Jason MacDonald vs. Ryan Jensen Lightweight bout: John Makdessi vs. Kyle Watson I haven't ordered a UFC PPV since UFC 100 back in July 2009, but I am damn sure ordering this. The top three fights look great, and so does the rest of the card. And not to mention that it's the first UFC event at the Skydome, and rumor has it they're gonna have the whole place set up like the coliseum in the intro video.

Phil Davis of the Heartbreak Express? :-)
EDIT: If I can afford it, I plan to watch 127-129.

I wouldn't order 127. Fitch/Penn might end up being rad but the rest of the card doesn't look that good. 128 looks SICK, though.

Shame is that they don't show all the prelim matches as well. It's not like the PPV is cheap, but at least the show more than they used to.

I am looking forward to GSP moving up to face Anderson Silva, which may be here before 2011.

They're not putting the Prelim matches on Spike any more?

I kind of feel like Jones is in over his head with this Shogun fight.

I kind of feel like Jones is in over his head with this Shogun fight. Agreed. Bones is good, but he's not beating Shogun.

Jones is good but let's be honest here. The UFC has been feeding him a string of very tough name opponents that he matches up well against. He's been tested but he hasn't faced a guy that is truly a threat to him.
Shogun is a different kind of animal and Jones just hasn't gone up against a truly elite top 3 in the world guy. I think Jones is a future champion but he's young and he's only been in the game for a few years.
The hype train behind Jones doesn't surprise me considering the kind of bandwagon jumping MMA fans do on the net. But they've been a little ridiculous. For public sentiment online to be that Jones will win just shows how little thought people put into fights.
