The first time I've seen Tom release the State of the Company on the FG Website in the News Section...
CotG exceeds LoW in sales 54% to 46% which is real close, while the old way in playing on the Table-Top exceeds Online 68% to 32%, which is a good separation of cardstock still the preferred purchase and method of playing...
It's a good sign seeing FG up 25% from 2009...

I always forget there's such a high concentration of promoters in Ohio.

Gotta love stats- so easy to manipulate.

I'm a little surprised to see that, actually... I though LoW was higher... but like Turk said, stats are fun things.
If he's going by $ of sales, the new color cards (which cost 3X more than the b & w) would really skew things.
Also interesting there was an increase at all, where there was so many fewer releases.. I guess ACE and PoW really didn't sell much.

Honestly, he really stepped up his online presence this past year and got a lot of mileage out of press releases on wrestling news sites and through partnerships with other message boards and websites. Add that to the aggressive convention schedule this past year and it appears to have paid off. A stat like "business up 25-percent year over year" cannot really be massaged: that's just a fact. I don't know if he's counting dollars in sales or units sold when he says COTG is still outselling legends, but it doesn't really matter to him either way which is selling more when he sees business not only holding steady but increasing in such a rough economy.
And yes, I believe not many people outside of the hardcore fans on the message boards were buying POW, and aCe probably didn't do much more than that (which is a shame since aCe is really great).

It's a shame with POW. The MMA game is really fantastic and I wish it got more love from the COTG fanbase.

Well, he didn't actually make that, Mark and Turkish did. It could well be that part of Mark making that last 'semi-official' POW set was Tom selling him the rights to the MMA system.

I know when 2124 came out there was a plan to make a 2125, but the fact that Mark hasn't been around in months makes me wonder if that will really happen.

As far as I know, 2125 is still in the works. 2124 came out in July 10. Mark and I did not start really talking until may or so.
Of course that is provided mark still wants me aboard.
