Reading one of the Doc Savage pulp novels. I love these because you can read them in a couple of sittings and it's usually good mindless fun.
I also bought a couple of Destroyer novels because those run $2.99 on the Kindle.

I read the forward to the first Destroyer book and it might have been one of the funniest things I've ever read.

I've got all the Doc Savage novels on a cd. Recently I've read the first 5 Star Wars books in the New Jedi Order series.

The Doc Savage novels are a ton of fun. The writing is a little clunky and they aren't classics of literature but those are great for turning your brain off and burning through one in a couple of sittings.

I have to get those one of these days I'm reading the Simon Green 'Nightside' books right now.. they're decent... kinda distant cousins of the Dresden Files, but with a fair amount of Terry Prachett absurdity thrown in. Also reading the new Percy Jackson series... which essentially ties in the Romans to the Greek stuff.. The first one was good (despite Percy not being in it).. the 2nd one is totally just set up for the next one, and seems like a near copy of the 1st book, with different characters. It makes sense and all, just not particularly entertaining. Next one (Which hopefully will be better) comes out next month. Mostly reading it to make my daughter happy.

I used a torrent for Savage and dumped all 181 of the original books on to my Kindle. So I always have one handy. The Destroyer books are thankfully 2.99 on Kindle so I just a couple of those here and there.
Love the Nightside books. How far are you into those. They get quite a bit darker as the main storyline resolves itself in the first 6 books and then gets a little lighter in the aftermath. But John Taylor is a delightful bastard. Actually, if you go look up my GWF with the jobbers you'll notice John Taylor, Razor Eddie and Dead Boy were all jobbers in that promotion.

I'm currently reading the second Dresden Files book. I like it quite a bit more than the first book. Seems like Butcher really has the format and characters nailed down better for this one.

Reading Witches Abroad currently. It's the Discworld so you know it's quality.

Finished 'House of Many Ways By Diana Wynne Jones.. it's the sequel (well, one of two sequels) to Howl's Moving Castle , which was made by Miyazaki in a most excellent anime movie. Really fun book, I'd highly recommend it for anyone that's a fan of light fantasy on the order of Harry Potter or Percy Jackson. I'd never heard of the author until getting the book out, and it turns out she was pretty huge in some circles... Neil Gaiman even dedicated something to her. I'll probably check out her other series at some point.

Ordered Thesz's book (haven't read that since 7th grade, easily the highlight of that year of school for me) and Stan Hansen's book today.
