Grant, I know in the previous post, you said the sim didn't work for the iPhone/iPad. Have you tried the sim lately. I just gave it a try tonight and it worked, but it was super slow and buggy. I chose two wrestlers at random, King Lear 2095 and Valour 2119. I selected Lear first and his picture didn't pop up. I then selected Valour and his picture popped up right away. Then I went back to try and select Lear again and as I did, his picture finally popped up. Then I ran the PbP and it worked. Tried it again on the LOW side. Selected Andre and Heenan. Again, Andre first, no picture. Selected Heenan and his picture popped up immediately. Went to reselect Andre and his pic finally popped up. Ran the sim and it worked. I notice they only let you run the sim 10 times. Can't do it 100 times like when COTGOnline first went live. I'll update my list on the main board. However the Match Setup in the Card Editor still doesn't work. You can't drag the wrestlers from the roster list to the Sides section. If this worked, It'd renew my interest in using online as I could edit matches and results on the iPad directly into the StatTracker.

I bought Series 1 tonight and have been simming it.
I saw the same issue Grant, selecting a guy and it takes it a minute to pop up. But other than that, seems good to go
Is there a way to change the default on it? I don't like the roll DQ twice...hate to always change it

I see lots of people with Ipads... and none of them do anything with them that they don't do on their phone. I see people playing solitaire... or playing music, or playing silly flash games (bejeweled blitz or any of the ones where you fling projectiles at a building) are the popular ones. Very occasionally I'll see someone using it as a Kindle. People doing actual work all have laptops. I can understand the hate...I share it with Wal-Mart...but, with respect Wildfire, to say no one works on an IPad is just incorrect. I work in the Medical Field and I have seen many physician groups using IPads as the interface into medical records. I was at a Board meeting last Thursday with about 25 medical administrators and at least 8 of them were using IPads during the meeting from typing notes, pulling up past minutes etc. Could one have been playing a game...possibly...but the IPad is quickly becoming more than just a toy.

I'm talkin' on the train, really. I'm sure someone out there puts them to good use... but I still think my point is valid... could they not have done the same thing on a netbook, or a blackberry?

pro: my wife loves online. I would have bought the rest today, but broke my stupid iPhone, so had to shell out to get a new one. But she loves the idea of no paper, dice, etc around the house
Con: seriously bummed the sets don't come out in order like the GWF. I understand about some of the contracts, but think you could have gotten the majority released in order and threw a LE guy to round it off. That means I'll have to buy some create a character guys, which I don't mind as long as the sim works fine. Still a bummer and don't understand the reasoning at all

For me to argue the advantages or disadvantages of IPad v other devices is a bit...crazy given that I don't own an IPad. I will tell you at 51 the smartphones screens and keys are just too small to do much work on besides review an email or two. My understanding is that the battery life of an IPad can last up to 10 hours. I have yet to experience a phone or laptop that will last that long. True, it is also the hot, trendy, new invention which plays into this somewhat.

heh, I didn't mean for you to defend them or anything... I admit my Apple hate is at least somewhat irrational.
What will be interesting is to see where things are in a couple years... once Microsoft and Google make their own 'tablet PCs'... will they replace laptops, while laptops become the new desktops? Or will smart phones go away? Or will people happily pay for 3 similar gadgets?

I say phones will never go away. The whole world has a phone. I recently won a GO phone and it is my first cell phone ever, so now even I have one.
