You also have to look at the territory that Tom has a fan of growing up. He watched the Detroit area with the Sheik as the top heel. So that tends to be what Tom draws his heels from and feels comfortable with.
Sly... he got a lot better in 2122. He went from lower card to upper card with his upgrade. I do agree though. He got stuck on the red herrings.

It would have been nice if ACE could have had a 'cleaner' finish, but that's water under the bridge. Yeah, the end of aCe needed a cleaner finish rather than what it got... it was awful! It was like...okay...quick way to end this=everybody dies/retires...tada! Really looking forward to 2126 however...I don't think the new guy will be Shepard however

I Hellsing-type hunter would be WAY better than a werewolf, IMO... but I'd rather it be Shepard if he's goin' that route... he could be a vampire Hunter easy enough.

Maybe you could do a revamped Kill Prey coming in as a vampire hunter.

Eh... Kill Prey never really got me excited... too derivative. He's another one to go on the art 'tribute' list that I had forgotten, and there was really nothing personality wise that make him different from Bounty Hunter.

I thought he was a solid heel that got lost in the shuffle. Kill Prey vs. Swarm was also a good match to throw on a PPV. Shepard doesn't feel like a GWF guy to me.

Here's a prediction based on nothing.
Overtime enters the GWF in a very 'Lebron James going to the Heat' kind of way. Lots of build up, think it's a lock he'll join one team and then at the last minute he'll join another. Or something along those lines.
Tom was all over that story (Lebron) when it happened and I see it possibly influencing his writing of this set. Overtime's the perfect character to do this kind of thing with. Though, if it does go down like this, i hope he falls flat (like Lebron has seemingly done) as Overtime never interested me in the slightest and, though he did capture the Nebula Championship for a short time, he was a pretty unremarkable character.

I don't think it too likely we'll see any Z guys in the GWF... Tom has 'optioned it off' as it were, I could be wrong though.
I actually liked Overtime as a concept, but I'm not sure where he'd fit into the current GWF.

I actually liked Overtime as a concept, but I'm not sure where he'd fit into the current GWF. Well, he promoted Ensor in 2124, so I wouldn't be surprised with another promotion in the future. Last year he brought in Paganax, after bringing in Vidtek a couple of years ago- so it's not like he's totally against bringing in "existing" talent. I just don't think that we'll see 4 new guys jump in from the Z all at once, but 1 here and there is certainly a possibility.

That's true, but those guys were all first produced as an FG product, and hadn't them moved to a semi-official not available through FG one.
That said, we've already got 5 new guys.... I'm thinking most of the rest will be updates, so maybe I'm wrong.

Not sure who the best character this year would be, but I would lean toward Overtime or Morbid.

Morbid is the CM Punk-like guy, right? I don't know enough about the Z stuff to guess, but what I do know about those two guys doesn't make sense in the current GWF... bringing in a 'Z' guy by either of the top teams would be quite a step down from Paganax. J ust tossing them into the infinity challenge would be weird... though maybe that's exactly what will happen... perhaps they'll be more going on there than 'here's all the guys I didn't have ideas for'... that'd be exciting
