Like I said, I'd be more behind that stuff if Black didn't completely suck in the ring. I mean he jobbed to everyone in 2125 for me. I stopped using him when he tied Playboy Buddy Rose for most consectutive losses (13) in my filsinger feds. After letting the card sit for a while I gave him another chance and he lost 2 more ending up 0-15

I think he beat U.S. Male and Bloodline throughout the year and I also supplemented him with wins over Scimitar and Plethador. He would always get guys down, stall out due to his awful level 3 offense and the match would just drag until the opponent finally got control the match and put him away. Every single match essentially turned into that with Coven Black.

I kind of feel that Bloodline and Encubus ultimately failed to meet their full potential throughout their lengthy GWF careers. Bloodline put in about 17 years and he really only stepped out as his own man for about 4 of those years. He let other people make the decisions for him the rest of his career and I think it ultimately held him back from becoming an absolute legend in the ring.
I feel Encubus fell prey to this even more. I can't think of any point where Encubus stood up and became his own man. He was happy to languish in a tag team with Bloodline for most of his career.
I'm sad to see both guys go but at the end of the day, they both seemed to fear true greatness in the ring and settled for just being good instead. I feel Bloodline almost stepped out from the Omega/Star Warrior shadow and Encubus never really got close.
Still, probably two of the most gifted wrestlers to ever enter the GWF and you can't argue with two guys putting in almost a decade at the top or near the top of the GWF.

OK, now that I've seen it:
I really feel like the set feels 'phoned in' Out of 10 cards, two are nearly useless. Abros and Dilectas' card should really be a page in the handbook.. there's nothing there... and I'm really disappointed in the Leveler's chart... it seems slapped together, and not very effective... which is a shame for such a nice art piece. It's a small thing, but I was also pretty disappointed in the fact that there was no cover art on the handbook.. using one of the cards seems just kinda cheap, especially since they have the cool Chikara box.
What plot there is seems pretty good... the Vampire stuff seems pretty well developed, and Monolith's return is cool.
Endgame needs to do... something. There's been some good build, but it's time to shit or get off the pot, as they say. I like the Rotating commissioner thing, execept for the randomness of Shoot being an option and a having a psedo-MMA type match. Makes NO SENSE that they wouldn't just go to POW, and the match mechanics seems really terrible. (though I haven't tried them). Other than him (and he could just be left out) I think the rotating commish thing could work really well angle-wise.
However, Sly just leaving? After 3 years of build up? terrible. Mother Superior story? total bs.
The Infinity Challenge again seems thrown together and not well thought out. One line, or a half a line, tell us that wrestler A isn't happy with Wrestler B or whatever is pretty weak compared to having a press conference or a quite, or at least a paragraph or each guy.
While I appreciate people saying they like to do their own thing... if FG's stuff is nothing but a vague sketch, why buy the official cards at all? Bootlegs are just as good.
OTOH, I like the idea of guys not liking the Infinity Challenge and it being portrayed as 'second rate'.. seems like they could really go somewhere. (though the way the last couple sets have been written, I don't have much faith in that). I'm sad to see Encubus go, but I think he was kinda directionless, so it makes sense in context.
Glad to see a Ravager back in the GWF (even if he's a complete jobber stat wise) but Paganax working for AoM is hard to swallow. I guess you just have to consider Tom's Paganax a completely different guy that Osk's version.. they're very little similarity. Brain damage in crossing? That's never happened before.. seems like a weak concession to aCe fans that doesn't really even make sense.
Overall, better than last time, but still not great.

Since it's my main interest. What do you think of the new look Titans with Overtime and TitanBlood?

Since it's my main interest. What do you think of the new look Titans with Overtime and TitanBlood? I think if you want to make them heels, now is a perfect time. OT has always been a shade of gray before coming to the GWF as he went from team to team, blaming them for losses...Betrayer has been a heel and Tristan could feel underused and underappreciated to use for his heel turn. It's right there for you to use, even though it's not written in, I think and I'd do it that way if I turn them.

I think they'd be best as edgy faces.. the Titan legacy in the GWF is such that it would take alot for them to work as heels.
I think I'd make OT and Payback a heel team and have them feud with Tristan and Betrayer, if I wanted someone to be heels as Titans... Swarm is listed as tagging with both Payback and Mantis, so it wouldn't really effect things much there.

I am amazed at how little pub this expansion set is getting. It is the Monday after Galacticon and the official board is pretty slow.
Does any one know about the Galacticon attendance over the weekend? I haven't even seen any one post their convention reviews yet?

I think the pricetag for Online is why the set got so little talk over the weekend.

It was mentioned on one of the other boards about Tom supporting more of the expansion cons like Ohio Con and I Con with official game releases. The idea is that it will be a lot easier for people without the long drive to Jamestown

Does any one know about the Galacticon attendance over the weekend? I haven't even seen any one post their convention reviews yet? Most of the early talk is from people who attend the convention and those who purchase the online product. The convention attendance was flat (gas around $4 a gallon tends to cut down on the summer travel) and I think everyone who bought the online version and wants to comment has done so. It ships to everyone else starting tomorrow and it'll probably be this coming weekend or next Monday before the takl really starts to flow. Meantime, I'll probably have posted my fourth card by then and it'll seem like old news. But then there will be the 25th anniversary cards to check out and play with. I'm interested to see the Darryl Banks' version of Lord Nexus and Thantos.
