Still shocked Tom approved the drawings of Montrol and Lord Nexus. Honestly, I'm glad I play my fed on the sim because I don't think I could look at these piss poor drawings if I was playing with cards and dice.
Rant over! Lol

Lol That Lord Nexus drawing is the only one that really bothers me. Looks like he has gigantism or some sort of disease in that picture.

I think at that point the GWF was at it's peak and they were just getting as many sets out as they could to take advantage.

So you think Tom was just trying to get stuff out and not paying attention to the art? Thankfully, both cards are inputted (that is a word right?! Lol) as CAC for online and safely stored away so don't have to look at those drawings again.

I think he probably was thinking the CONCEPT of classics sets was going to sell the sets regardless of the art. It's not like that set was designed to bring in new customers... it was targeted at the long time fans, who bought it (and still do) regardless of the crappy art. There's a reason Bendis didn't get famous until he started writing

The Lord Nexus art on that set seemed like a rush job or something. In fact there were a lot of guys that looked very uninspired/lacked personality compared to their 2087 selves. Take the 2074 Commander Sam for instance.
