Hacksaw Duggan def Ox Baker ** - Hacksaw Jim Duggan gets his second win in capital wrestling thanks in large part to Curt Hennig who showed up at ringside causing a distraction for Ox Baker. Baker had Duggan backed against the ropes and was in the process of beating the tar out of his opponent with powerful blows to the head and body when Hennig showed up at ringside taunting Baker. The brief distraction gave Duggan enough time to catch Baker off guard with a wild haymaker and get the win with a FLYING SPEAR 3. The Killer Bees def Buddy Rose and Johnny Rodz **½The team of Rose and Rodz give the former tag team champions a tough time in their return match as Rose continues to show improvement in the ring getting 2 near falls on Blair with a brain buster and BOMBS AWAY. Rocca continues his attack with a bow and arrow and attempts a throw into the turnbuckle which Muldoon reverses and lands a shoulder tackle on Rocca. Muldoon misses the mark with a standing dropkick. Rocca counters with a series of flying dropkicks and climbs the top turnbuckle. Rocca launches himself off the top turnbuckle but Muldoon raises a knee at the last second taking down Rocca. Both men lay hurt on the canvas but manage to get back on their feet at approximately the same time. INSIDE WRESTLING REPORT Ox Baker’s Ultimatum Last week Curt Henning showed up at ringside during a match between Ox Baker and Hacksaw Jim Duggan distracting Baker and costing him the match. During a recent phone interview with associate editor Dan Shocket a furious Ox Baker sounded off about the incident and issued a warning to the young upstart Hennig to keep very far way from him and out of his business or he’ll find his himself broken into a million pieces * Update on this story as of press time . Not heeding Baker’s warning Curt Hennig confronted Baker on a recent TV Taping laying down a challenge for another rematch. By the end of the segment things had had escalated to the point that a no disqualification stipulation was added to the match. Hennig’s mentor William Muldoon is trying his best to prevent this from happening but all attempts so far to convince Hennig to reconsider have failed. Capital Wrestling's Silver AnniversaryCapital Wrestling President Gorilla Monsoon recently confirmed rumors that something big is being planned for Capital Wrestling’s 25th card. Monsoon told Inside Wrestling that the 25th card will take place at the Philadelphia Spectrum and will feature at least two big special attraction matches. Saito makes it in the ring a short time later and gets immediately clobbered with a Superstar clothesline before Kingston is tagged in for the first time during the match and gets 2 pin attempts first with a LARIAT and the second with a backfist to the future. Hennig comes out with both guns blazing keeping the pressure on Baker with a steady attack of standing dropkicks and suplexes but things change in a hurry once Baker gets Hennig outside the ring and takes advantage of the no disqualification stipulation. Baker drops Hennig head first on the concrete following a brutal shoulder breaker, chokes him on the guard rail and the proceeds to stomp him into the concrete showing no mercy whatsoever while Muldoon can do nothing but stand by and watch as Baker destroys Hennig. Baker drags Hennig back inside the ring and delivers a HEARTPUNCH dedicated to William Muldoon. Instead of simply pinning Hennig Baker pulls Hennig back on his feet and stands him up in the corner. Not bearing to see what’s coming next and deciding enough is enough Muldoon jumps on the ring apron and THROWS IN THE TOWEL ON BEHALF OF HENNIG 5. Sean Davis goes down from a Killer Bee double elbow smash followed by a Jim Brunzell KILLER DROPKICK in a total time of just 2:20. 6. Buddy Rogers def Antonio Rocca ***1/2 This match could have very well taken place a few weeks ago if it wasn’t for the fact that Muldoon defeated Rogers in a very close number one contenders match and then went on to defeat Rocca for the Capital Wrestling Title. Despite Rogers multiple pin attempts including 2 piledrivers and a jumping knee smash. Rocca recovers quickly and answers right back with a flurry of offensive moves that included 2 pin attempts of his own with flying dropkicks and a flying headscissors. THE CAPITAL REPORT Following the demise of the First Family Of Wrestling and the subsequent departure of Jimmy Hart from Capital Wrestling King Kong Bundy, Bobby Shane, and Greg Valentine suddenly find themselves free agents. Bundy turned down several offers to join the House Of Humperdink stating he has no interest in working for anyone again and is only concerned about looking out for himself. Even though Sir Oliver wasn’t able to sign Bundy but he scored big with recruiting none other than The Russian Bear Ivan Koloff. Along with Ray Stevens and Jimmy Snuka The House Of Humperdink is fast becoming the most dangerous stable in professional wrestling. Sir Oliver better watch though because Bobby Shane recently announced he has already found a new manager to replace Jimmy Hart…. Classy Freddie Blassie. The partnership between the King Of Men and The King Of Wrestling should be interesting to say the least. Riding high on two of his biggest victories in his career Capital Wrestling Champion Nature Boy Buddy Rogers faces a new challenger Jim Londos. Londos has been on fire since debuting in the northeast with four straight wins including a recent victory over former Capital Champion Antonio Rocca. At the end of a brutal match against Bruiser Brody North American Champion T erry Gordy walked away with his title intact due to a disqualification but Brody isn’t giving up and has already been granted a rematch. Lou Albano now has three tag team champions to his credit. Twice with the Vachons and most recently Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito. Albano’s team won pretty convincingly over the Kangaroos and their manager Wild Red Berry. Any plans Wild Red Berry has on recapturing the title will have to wait because The Killer Bees have been named the new number one contenders. Capital Wrestling President Gorilla Monsoon recently announced the first annual Capital Cup Tournament. The tournament will feature 16 wrestlers in single elimination competition spread out during the summer months. The winner will have the honor of being named the Capital Cup Champion and will receive a large cash bonus to boot. Making his Capital Wrestling debut just in time for the tournament is Strangler Lewis. During a recent interview Lewis made some noise about not being named the odds on favorite to win the tournament. That honor went to former Capital Wrestling Champion William Muldoon who is looking to add the cup to his already impressive resume Saving the biggest and best for last after months of negiotations Capital Wrestling has signed The Road Warriors ! In a strange turn of events The Warriors will not accompanied by longtime manager Precious Paul Ellering. Reports are that Ellering and The Road Warriors had a falling out over the decision to make the move from the Mid Atlantic area to the Northeast and have parted ways. In a even stranger turn of events The Warriors have hired a new manager and first official female member of the Legion Of Doom Trudy Denucci ! Denucci a tough street kid from Asbury Park New Jersey retired from active wrestling after suffering a rotator cuff injury and has been managing in independent promotions for several years. Rumor has it Animal and Hawk met her a local gym and just decided to give her a shot That’s All For Now See You At The Matches !

Rogers was caught in a very rare state of humility following the match admitting that Londos was a much tougher opponent than he expected and thought it was only a matter of time before he’d be facing him again. Strangler Lewis (debut) def Hacksaw Duggan * - Duggan was introduced to new and painful holds enduring as long as he could until tapping out to a STRANGLERS HEADLOCK 2. Ray Stevens W/ Humperdink def S.D Jones **Stevens has an axe grind after Jones defeated him on card and almost pinned him a second time when Stevens and fellow House Of Humperdink member Jimmy Snuka faced off against Jones and Bobo Brazil at the silver anniversary show (card 25). Jones put another good fight scoring a near fall with a Philly shuffle and K.O punch before Stevens took him out with his second BOMBS AWAY of the match 3. Bruiser Brody def The Sandman by DQ **½Bruiser Brody is pumped and ready to do battle just a week before his big rematch against Terry Gordy for the North American Title next week in Rochester. This match was a wild one from the start with Brody and The Sandman exchanging chair shots outside the ring and taking turns ramming each other head first into the ring post . Referee Gilberto Roman had every reason to call for the bell and rule the match a double disqualification but instead chose to stay out of harms way and let the match continue. Brody ended up taking several SINGAPORE CANES to the head and back before putting an end to the brutal contest with a JUMPING KNEE SMASH 4. Capital Cup Tournament Match #2 Bobby Shane W/ Freddie Blassie def Eddie Kingston ***Shane makes his first appearance with new manager Classy Freddie Blassie who draws immediate heat from the crowd delaying the start of the match. Blassie gave Shane the advantage by kneeing Kingston in the groin during a brawl outside the ring allowing Shane to drag Kingston back inside and finish him off with a bulldog 5. King Kong Bundy def Antonio Rocca **Bundy stated before the match he no intention of ever losing on his home turf and followed through on that promise defeating Rocca with a pair of elbow drops off the ropes followed by a running power slam. CWA Tag Team Title Match Fuji and Saito W/ Lou Albano def The Killer Bees **½Saito starts things off by roughing up Jim Brunzell with chops and karate kicks getting a pin attempt quickly with a SAITO SUPLEX. Buddy Rose def Sean Davis ** The bad blood between the Heartbreak Express and the team of Buddy Rose and Johnny Rodz started back on card 23 when the Heartbreak Express (Sean Davis) was disqualified for nailing Rodz with a roll of quarters. The trouble continued the following week when The Express double teamed Rodz after a win over Sean Davis. Everything came to a head recently when Rodz and Rose attempted to make peace with the Heartbreak Express during a live TV interview but It wasn’t long before tempers started flaring and fists started flying throwing away any chance at reconciliation. Gomez holds the advantage and dominates the action for the majority of the match but Orton comes back after taking a great deal of punishment getting the win with an atomic knee drop followed by a SUPERPLEX 6. The Kangaroos W/ Wild Red Berry def Bobo Brazil and S.D Jones **Wild Red Berry hasn’t been happy lately first the Kangaroos were passed over for a rematch against the Killer Bees for the Capital Wrestling Tag team Titles and now finds his team being booked against a mediocre team like S.D Jones and Bobo Brazil. Despite Berry’s low opinion of the Kangaroos opponents the match turns out to be pretty solid with Jones holding his own against both Hefferman and Costello getting one fall with a HEADBUTT. The former tag team champions come through in the end when Hefferman reverses a Brazil power slam countering with a Kangaroo kick and quickly applying a STEP OVER TOE HOLD 7. The Masked Superstar def Ivan Koloff W/ Oliver Humperdink by DQ Ivan Koloff trying to get back in the title hunt after being sidetracked with a lose to Abe Lincoln on card 25 makes his first official appearance as a member of The House Humperdink. Hamburg Field House Hamburg PA Card 29 1. The Heartbreak Express def Buddy Rose and Johnny Rodz ** The battle continues between these two teams with the Heartbreak Express getting the win when Phil Davis recovered a Buddy Rose foreign object that was used earlier in the match against his partner Sean Davis and knocking Johnny Rodz senseless with a blow to the head before putting on the finishing touches with a HEARTBREAKER. 2. Eddie Kingston def Bobby Shane W/ Freddie Blassie by DQKingston now calling himself the War King and sporting a new look with Indian type face paint is out for some revenge after Freddie Blassie interfered in his first round Capital Cup match knocking him out of the tournament and advancing Shane to the next round. Kingston scored two near falls with a backfist to the future and a LARIAT before Shane got the unfair advantage with a loaded knee pad to the head and applied the JAPANESE SLEEPER. Shane initially proud of his handiwork was shocked when referee Gilberto Roman disqualified Shane for not waking up Kingston after using the sleeper an obscure rule that hasn’t been put in use for over a decade. Both Bobby Shane and manager Freddie Blassie protested but Roman stood by his decision 3. Pepper Gomez def King Kong Bundy ** Focused on breaking his recent losing streak Gomez takes control of the action from the opening bell scoring near falls with a flying body smash and a flying body smash before getting the win with a MEXICAN LEAP. 4. Capital Cup Tournament Match 4 Ox Baker def William Muldoon ***The last time Muldoon and Baker came face to face was on card when Muldoon threw in the towel on behalf of his young protégé Curt Hennig during a no disqualification match. Baker attacks Muldoon before the bell gnawing the forehead and delivering multiple kicks to the midsection. Muldoon cant get anything going against Baker who manages to power out or reverse almost every move Muldoon does. Baker puts his opponent down for the count with a HEART PUNCH handing Muldoon just his second loss and eliminating him from the Capital Cup Tournament. 5. Jim Londos def Strangler Lewis ****Happy that his toughest competition and the man everyone picked to win the Capital Cup Tournament William Muldoon has been eliminated Lewis comes into the match even more confident than usual. Lewis using a variety of scientific holds dominated the action for the majority of the match but was unable to put down Londos for the three count despite scoring three near falls. After struggling to get the win by pin fall Lewis went for the submission with his deadly finisher THE STRANGLERS HEADLOCK. Just when it seemed Londos was done for he managed to power out of the hold, deliver a crotch lift and slam and follow up with a AIRPLANE SPIN for a huge upset over the obnoxious over confident Lewis. 6. Rogers is looking to make this his second successful title defense since defeating the then undefeated Solid Man William Muldoon on card 23. Rogers and Koloff facing each other for the first time in Capital wrestling history battle back and forth matching move for move without either man gaining an advantage until Rogers scores the first near fall of the match at the 12:30 mark with a jumping knee smash. Sir Oliver Humperdink jumps on the ring apron causing a distraction stopping referee Dick Kroll’s count at two. Koloff recovers and the battle continues right where it left off going the distance all the way to the 30 minute time limit without either man getting another near fall.

Greg Valentine def King Kong Bundy **But wrestlers are tense coming in to the match with this being the first time the two members of the now defunct First Family Of Wrestling have come face to face since card 25. Bundy gave Valentine a pretty thorough pounding but lost the advantage once Valentine turned the tables with a falling elbow hammer and locked on the FIGURE FOUR getting the win by submission. 7. Capital Wrestling Tag Team title match The Kangaroos W/ Wild Red Berry def Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito W/ Lou Albano ***The past several months these two teams led by Wild Red Berry and Lou Albano have been battling back and forth for the Capital Wrestling Tag Team Titles. The Kangaroos first took the title from The Vachons and Lou Albano on card 18 and then soon after losing the titles Albano parted ways with the Vachons and quickly replaced them with Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito who defeated The Kangaroos on card 24 regaining the titles for Albano. Berry and Albano haven’t been quiet about their mutual dislike for each other during TV tapings. The two managers exchanging words before the start of the match almost came to blows before Referee Dick Woerhle intervened and sent each manager back to his corner in order for the match to begin. Saito managed to escape a Roy Hefferman STEP OVER TOEHOLD and kick out of a Kangaroo kick before Fuji took over and got pummeled by both Costello and Hefferman. Just when it looked liked The Kangaroos had the match all sewn up following a Aussie Suplex on Mr. Fuji Albano made the save by jumping on the ring apron distracting Woerhle. Albano’s interference only prolonged the inevitable as Fuji continued to take a beating after the near fall before going down for the count when The Kangaroos delivered a BOOMERANG. The Kangaroos barely have time to take possession of the tag team title belts before Albano charges at Berry resulting in a wild brawl with both teams have to pull their managers apart Announcements for the next Capital Wrestling show at the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie New York
