Updated the list with the two best matches from Destination X. Nothing from MITB was particularly great so none of it will end up on here.

Added this match to the list. Had you told me a month ago that this match would be on my list, I'd have been all "Nah you're insane." This is a 13 minute spotfest, but it's a good kind of spotfest. Crazy even breaks out the old moonsault off of a high perch spot he loved doing in ECW. Also, the finish is ungodly.

Two DGUSA matches, Akiyama/Funaki from AJPW (a 4:30 match on the list, that's a new one) and for the first time I can remember, a CZW match added to the list.

Matches that will probably be added to the list when I figure out where they should go: - El Generico & Willie Mack vs. Sami Callihan & Roderick Strong; PWG 4/21 - Player Uno & Stupefied vs. Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly; PWG 4/21 - Michael Elgin vs. Willie Mack; PWG 5/25 - El Generico vs. Ricochet; PWG 5/25 - Michael Elgin vs. Sami Callihan; PWG 7/21 - Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly vs. Player Uno & Stupefied vs. Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson, Ladder Match; PWG 7/21

This is awesome! It has been months since I posted here (I can not even remember my login info.) When I left Threemendous III in July I left knowing I saw something truly special. Switch-Truth, I am looking forward to seeing where you post these matches on your rankings!!

I figured I've been doing writeups for matches lately, so I'll share two of the ones I've done for matches on this year's Top 40. #1.) NJPW 10/8/12, Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Minoru Suzuki [IWGP Heavyweight Championship]:This is the best pro wrestling match I've seen in a long time. I called this Match of the Year after one viewing, but after two there's so much about this that make it stand out in my mind as one of the best matches in recent memory. It's unarguably the smartest worked (and best, on top of that) Tanahashi match ever, Suzuki is great in his role, the crowd is fantastic, not to mention the actual work being done in the match is top notch. They sell the injured limbs properly, the sleeper and figure four were both really well worked and added more than they normally would have, and Suzuki's dropkick out of nowhere is great. This is also one of the few matches I've seen to not have any near falls before a finish and still maintain a constant sense of drama and excitement throughout. Seriously...watch this. Maybe not better than Steamboat vs. Flair, but it's better than a LOT of stuff. VIDEO: #8.) WWE 4/29/12, Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena, Extreme Rules Match:2012 WWE hasn't exactly been good...or even decent, or even acceptable, it's been flat out awful this year but this is a highlight and my pick for WWE Match of the Year. Now, to explain a bit. I was skeptical going into this match. Cena vs. Lesnar in 2003 wasn't exactly good (or decent, for that matter), so when it was announced in 2012, I wasn't expecting much. I mean, Cena is best when he's got someone who can guide the match and Brock, as much as I like the guy, doesn't really care that much about pro wrestling and his outings in New Japan and IGF left me disappointed because given how good Brock is, those runs could have been so much more in the way of quality. Then again, Brock's being paid a ton of money, so he shows up here. The end result is the most physical WWE match in years, and that's in the best possible regard. There's legit blood, there's a lot of hate, the crowd is awesome and the finish, while silly as far as the overall story of the match goes, follows the idea that his was a 'real' fight. This is as close to an old school slugfest that you're going to see in modern WWE, and it's so damn good. Did you see that Miz/Kingston match from the 3rd episode of Main Event? It was really good.

Did you get a chance to view it? I'm curious what you think of it.
I wouldn't call it MOTY worthy but Seth Rollins defending the NXT Title against Joe Hennig is wotth checking out.

It was a really solid match, probably one of the best WWE TV matches recently. Saw Rollins/Hennig, was a pretty good match.
