Yeah, I don't know.
Maybe people are afraid if they don't get excited about this PDF they won't be another one?
That book was pretty good.. the beginning, anyway. They didn't seem to know what to do with the story once they got to Lincoln's political career, so the ending was kinda blah. Good overall, though.

Color me confused, but Chikara color set generates little buzz, people whine nonstop about Legends International, amongst other sets, but a card about Mr. X and imaginary moves of Lincoln gets folks aflutter. Wow. perfect example of the bitch attitude over here.now theyre annoyed because it makes them "confused" when other people like something that they might not.......brilliant!!

Everyone's allowed to have their opinion... even rabble rousing trolls who think they're hiiding their identity.
I think it's an interesting point, actually, that I hadn't thought of.
I'd add, though, that at least 1 person asked where they'd get the move set from, so maybe as the discussion continues it'll head there for this, too.

Perfect example of the bitch attitude over here. Now they 're annoyed because it makes them "confused" when other people like something that they might not ........ Brilliant! ! Well, your spelling has definitely improved, so good work, there. Unfortunately, you're still struggling with punctuation, but definitely keep trying. Remember to skip spaces between sentences. Also, the elipsis is only three periods (occasionally four), and not really appropriate, here. It's a more advanced punctuation mark; you might want to hold off on using it until you've mastered the basics, like commas and apostrophes. A single exclamation point is sufficient to convey enthusiasm or interjection. It's true that, occasionally, multiple exclamation points are used for literary or comic effect, but in those cases, it is customary to use three, not two. Again, that's an advanced technique, and you're not ready for it, yet. Also, I'm afraid this time I have to take points off for reading comprehension. "Confused" is not the same as "annoyed." Neither are "questioning," "unimpressed," or "uninterested." D-

My my, the Michigan public school system taught you a new word and how to use bold. Congrats. But Dear guest, I have been a HUGE supporter of LOW/LOTF/Chikara since day 1. If my not liking 1 card causes you tremendous consternation I sincerely hope you seek help.

My fervent hope is that this will will open the door for Grover Cleveland getting cards in two upcoming, but non-consecutive, editions of The Promoter.

I think the Burke card and Evan Lewis card will get some play for me at some point. Urslinger I could see as a vintage "manager" and I could see a "vintage stable" being something that is pretty cool. The Abe Lincoln card I am kind of on the fence about. I know he was a great president, quite possibly the greatest president of all time. But do I see The Sheik blasting him in the face with a fireball? And I would have to guess his move set would be completely made up. It is kind of fun to think up finisher names.........like THE EMANCIPATION or LOADED HAT. Or something to do with the money he is on.... I hope this opens the door for future vintage guys like Farmer Burns and Great Gama to get cards.

I think I might move Abe over to Chikara and use him as an Abe Lincoln impersonator. I thought of that at work today and it actually got me fairly excited for potentially using his card.
As far as his finisher, it will probably be an overhead choke because the big story about his wrestling career was him lifting a guy over his head in a choke hold.

And my opinion on this.
Burke and Lewis are worth the price of admission. You could throw anyone in there and I would still be happy because I'm getting Burke and Lewis. Honestly, Lewis or Burke alone would make up for whoever was in this set.

Burke and Lewis are definitely awesome additions. Irslinger I'm moderate about, and Lincoln it just a funsies card but I am curious to see how he'll be done.

Presidents who wrestled:
Lincoln Washington Taft (watch out for that BIG SPLASH finisher) Teddy Roosevelt (would definitely be the Monolith of any Legends Presidents set) Andrew Jackson (the first hardcore wrestler?) Grant Coolidge (THE SILENCER as a finisher?)
For the love of God, don't make a card for:
Franklin Roosevelt James Madison

James Madison would probably have to be in the women's division... he was what, 5' 3'' 120 or so? FDR could be like Doomsayer... maybe he could steal Stanislaus Zbyszko's body or something

I will have to do irrepearable harm to the people that listed other wrestling presidents here and the other board if any more presidents get game cards.
