Does anyone remember these games? They were for the GameCube and came out in August 2004/2005 respectively. They featured the best gameplay in any of the WWE games and amazing presentation and graphics. Check it out:
So yeah, anyone else remember these games? I just got a Gamecube with DOR1 and I am very much looking forward to fucking shit up tonight.

GameStop just called to say they'd have my copy of DOR2 in tomorrow. So hyped to play that one again after like, five years.

To be honest, I have never played either version. I have a GB version I got for like $2, but it has never been actually played.

The GBA WWE games were okay. I liked Road to WrestleMania and Road to WrestleMania X8. Survivor Series was terrible which was a shame since it had a better roster than X8, but they took put the PPV mode for a really terrible story mode.

Got my copy of Day of Reckoning 2 today. First thing I did was play the same match I did the day I got it originally: Batista vs. Kenzo Suzuki. I then played a couple of epic Angle vs. Benoit matches, and Regal vs. Eddie. I unlocked Steve Austin already and I made a Takeshi Morishima CAW. God help me the $45 spent on this Gamecube and these two games was so friggin worth it.

I got WrestleMania XIX at GameStop today. This game preceded DOR 1/2, so it was the first game to have this gameplay engine. It was supposed to be like a homecoming for the AKI game fans as it was the first Yuke's game to implement the weak/strong strikes and grapples, location specific damage, momentum meter that leads to brief special state and they went a little cartoony with the character models so as to resemble the AKI games models more. The shitty part to this game is the god awful Revenge mode (I loved WWF Betrayal, but that was a side scroller for the Game Boy Color, that concept does NOT work in 3D) and the game only has five arenas.
I ordered WWF WrestleMania X8 off eBay today. The very first Gamecube game I ever played and I remember being confused because the packaging had the WWE logo, but the in game menus/arenas had the WWF logo.
