That sucks, Jason.
Mine came and despite the post office's best intents, they weren't damaged. Great cards, and I'm running a mix of Chikara and NWA Hollywood for a bit. Will have the first card tomorrow.

Just bought the PDF instead of the printed cards because...I have no idea why. Question to anyone else who has seen the new charts: Is the only difference that they're in color now? I couldn't see anything different about them.

Tom has put out different charts over the years but this set of charts seems a little different. Not sure if it is on purpose or not.

N Hmmm, East Coast huh...and yet no cards arrived ..not happy Have you received them yet? Yeah, they came yesterday. I knew they would, I was just venting. The thing is, like I said on the O Board, when I pre order the as soon as you can, then they tend to take longer then when I wait a few days and pre order a set (those seem to arrive as soon as or sooner the the most other ppl)

Still waiting for this to show up at the NWAH online store. Still working on it. Guy who updates the website just got a full time job that's running him ragged. Will poke them about it today.

Question. Are the cards suppose to have blank backgrounds with just the characters on them? I was thinking they would have background images like Chikara?

I'd imagine if they did, they would have had the background images like the Chikara/ROH previews have.

Question. Are the cards suppose to have blank backgrounds with just the characters on them? I was thinking they would have background images like Chikara? Great question. It was a choice. Not mine or anything, but it was a choice. For awhile there was going to be a red, white and blue border around the artwork. But that was nixed. The decision was made to go with an all white background. Personally, I think the cards look great because they are reminiscent of classic Hollywood 8x10's. So they fit with the theme and the 'old school' approach that we go for in NWAH. Also Werner's art is so stellar in this set, it's nice to have it featured. Plus the white background makes them easier to get autographed.

I kind of had the same impression of the white backgrounds as Grant; the cards have a very clean and classic look to them as presented. Everything about the card design, front and back, fits the company. This sort of design would not work well at all for CZW or ROH, but it is perfect for NWA Hollywood.
PS: Whoever decided to nix the idea of the borders was very wise, IMO.

I miss borders, myself... I think it's the old baseball card collector in me.
But, heck, even baseball cards don't really have borders any more.

True they do have that very classic look and I don't dislike it. I just thought they might have even just had the NWAHollywood logo behind them. I was just surprised is all. Still they look wicked!
