Nothing has really been announced yet but I thought we could start throwing some speculation out there. We are getting Nigel McGuinness in a 4 pack next month.
I will start out by saying that Cliff Compton had better be in this set or I will personally hunt down every individual involved in the decision making and kick each of them in the shin. So put fucking Cliff Compton in the game or start wearing shin guards!
On a more serious note, I would say Matt Tavern, Bobby Fish, ACH, Cliff Compton and Matt Hardy seem like the most realistic set to have.

I like that list and with the way ROH is currently, it would be a fitting first expansion set...

Last I knew BJ Whitmer and Bobby Fish were pretty much locks. Nothing else is set.

Fish and Whitmer for sure, Taven looks like a very good possibility. ACH needs to be there, in my opinion. People had mentioned the Bravado brothers, but they seem to be out of the ongoing plans for ROH and haven't been used well when they do wrestle for them. I don't know what kind of deal guys like Cliff Compton and Matt Hardy have with ROH, but either one of them would be highly relevant and a good idea to have included if possible. Let some people's heads figuratively explode about Hardy, but he's a big part of ROH right now and probably will be through at least this summer.

So many good possibilities from the current ROH roster and having BJ Whitmer & Bobby Fish (Redragon pairing with O'Reilly) locked in is a great thing. I'll use a Matt Hardy ROH card. I'm pulling for Matt Taven to be in this 1st expansion and the rest I'll be fine with whomever is chosen...

I think Matt Hardy would be an essential for this set if they can actually use him. That's the kind of name value that you would be hard pressed to get into the game.
I also meant to say BJ Whitmer as he's also really relevant to the current product.

After watching the latest episode from ROH, I'm hoping we'll see Silas Young in the 1st expansion or if not this one, the next expansion...

I'd like to do a new Kyle O'Reilly. They cut the fucking balls off the one I made. He had a 5(2) PIN originally and they dropped it to 7(4) which took him from being able to hang to being one finisher and it's fucking over. All I could think to say was, "HE KICKS OUT OF EVERYTHING WHY DID YOU NEUTER HIM IT'S NOT LIKE HE WAS TOP TIER WITH THAT PIN RATING"

It seems like a mistake to wait until July for the first RoH expansion. Why just do a full sized set at that point? I thought the point of the smaller expansions was to do 3-4 a year and keep a constant stream of talent coming out. 2 a year is just lame and isn't going to keep up with the comings and goings of a wrestling promotion.

Might have been at ROH's request, I'm not sure. I just do the cards.

On the Filsinger Games podcast last night ACH was officially announced as the first name for the upcoming expansion. I'd expect TV champ Taven and 1/2 of the tag champs Bobby Fish to join him.
Actually, there are only eight wrestlers (seven full time wrestlers and wrestler/manager Brutal Bob) on the ROH roster page right now that don't have cards, so the odds are really good just about anyone could look there and pick out the next six.
ACH Taven Fish Tadarius Thomas Silas Young Whitmer Marshall Brutal Bob Evans
So there they are. Two of those eight names will not have a card, and the other six will. Otherwise it'll have to be cards for managers (Nana, RD Evans) and referees. Which is not likely.

As I read this, I was like, why the hell does he think we know what ACH stands for. Then I saw that he goes by ACH and I'm still wondering what the fuck.Really? Shouldn't you at least do something before you are recognized by initials.

We know what it stands for because they've said it on commentary.

I didn't think ACH stood for anything? I definitely remember on commentary Kevin Kelly saying ACH tells him something different every time.
Anyway, you HAVE to have Taven, Fish, and Whitmer.. they're all very key to the current stories. If there's 6 spots, I'd go with Compton, ACH and Thomas. Marshal and Silas Young would be nice, but we can live without them.
I wonder if someone at RoH has any input on who gets a card?

The original thing was "Attitude, Charisma, Heart" but they've also gone with that "what does it stand for?" thing on commentary, too. Compton and Hardy are not on the ROH roster. I think they're working on a per appearance basis so they don't have merchandise deals with ROH. As I understand it, ROH has complete and final say on who is in the game.
