So, I know a few of just still occassionally pop in to hang here, which is nice, but obviously the LWA is done... with the seriously lack of much of anyone playing the game these days (or, at least, sharing what they're doing online), I'm not thinking it's coming back.
Any thoughts? Keep it as is? Make it sorta a wrestling discussion board? Close it down? Get the LWA going again?

I'd say a combination of the second and fourth options.

I'll be honest,
My interest in the Filsinger system died a horrible death about 2 months ago and I haven't been able to even touch anything game wise. I just have no interest in it and my brain seems to shut off whenever I try to think about rolling some matches.
I do like just chilling here away from the other boards. If you're thinking about closing this, maybe we should start up a private Facebook group for the handful of us still left.

I think the LWA seems to have run its course, but I'm not done with the discussion forums here at all. I'd hate to see you close it down entirely.

Maybe I'll just reorganize then... that's kinda what I was thinging anyway. Any suggestions would be welcome @ MD: I've had that trouble for quite a while now... I got a new idea that I'm going to try, but I haven't mustered much motivation. I think it's a combo of the GWF story being so lackluster, and real Wrestling being down.

Here I am with the ADMIN VOICE!!! OK, so the LWA is tucked away, and the stuff we're using is at the top. I may combine the LoW and CotG stuff, not sure if that's worth the effort to make things more consolifated. I could make a couple sections to replace 'non-wrestling'... if y'all want, or we can just leave it as is. Let me know what y'all think

I'm playing Wrestling's Finest again and think that product has grown well in the past 5 years. I think the side stuff with Filsinger has really robbed me of my love of it. Chikara went in the shitter the second Swarm left, LOW is essentially dead and CWF Hollywood is good but I just can't muster the energy for it.

Essentially it's a CD game. $55 up front which is a ton. But, when he rates new wrestlers and stuff, you get that for free. So, one time purchase and you never have to buy anything again other than a CD key if you install it on more than two computers. And he does update. When I initially bought the game there were maybe 400 wrestlers and 120 tag teams. 5 years later there's almost 800 wrestlers and almost 400 tag teams in there.
The one flaw in the game is that tag teams are rated together. But there are a ton of tag teams in there.
The game is much more back and forth and honestly feels more true to the actual wrestlers. When Stan Hansen is in there, it feels like he's beating the shit out of someone. There's also strategy cards thrown in that effect the matches. So you could have a card to get yourself intentionally counted out or to counter a card from a different wrestler.
It has a good feel from the 70s/80s era of wrestling. It's limited in some regards though. There really isn't a way to run a battle royal, you can't do six mans. Some things like that suck but it's hard to pass up the sheer volume of guys in the game.

There's a tabletop version of the game, do you also get the cards for the tabletop game when you buy the CD version?

He discontinued the tabletop game a few years ago. I don't know if there are still cards. With the CD, you download the rosters after you install the game. He does a monthly newsletter that let's you know when updates hit and such. I bought my CD 6 years ago.

I think you should keep the boards going as is and bring stuff back as people get interested again. I may even start posting my fed results again just to get some activity going here but I have been really busy with family life to get here as often as I use to. It goes in waves but I do enjoy these boards.
