This is kind of a mishmash of wrestlers that were in the WWF from about 1985-1992. I picked a random date and started in 1987 with tournaments.
So your initial champions are:
WWF: Hulk Hogan Tag Team: U.S. Express IC: Junkyard Dog

Are guys who had different gimmicks/positions on the card as face/heel (Beefcake, for example) given multiple cards or is it just one that represents the whole run?

Yeah, some guys have face cards to reflect that era. There is also a Champions set that has some of the long running champions like Hogan, Flair, Thesz with stats that reflect them as champions. Not everyone has multiple cards though.

Not everyone has multiple cards though. Judging from the moves Rude used for his wins, it looks like his card is based off of his stuff from JCP and WCCW. I like the nice mix of wrestlers here, especially all of those great tag teams.

Haha, I'm going to change this up some as the weekend approach. Going to keep these champions but going to do a WWF vs. WCW kind of game with it.
