Good to see Embry, Young, and Billy Joe represented. In another world, Travis would have been a better-working Honky Tonk Man. 1989-90 Texas was cheap, low-rent, sleazy, desperate, a million miles off from the Von Erichs-Freebirds peak...and a ton of fun. And WAY ahead of its time in many ways.
I'm not overly proud of this, but I have actually taken the time to study and write an accurate card for TA-GAR, Lord of the Volcano. I would love a full set of the craziest Memphis gimmicks.

Funny that you say that... OT: I do find it humorous that some people shit on these (obviously ridiculous) Memphis gimmicks, yet cream all over Chikara

I do however question if vocal Chikara fans even like wrestling. It seems to get in the way of their cult devotion of Quackenbush. Critics seem to forget that the purpose if any character or gimmick is to entertain.

I think Chikara owes a ton to Memphis (and ECW did as well to an extent) Just more proof wrestling is rarely original, it's just some people choose to select different stuff once in a while which is a good change. As for goofy Memphis gimmicks, Plowboy Frazier's Giant Kimala II always stands out to me as well as Dr. Frank and of course Freddy and Jason but Ta-Gar is fun as well.

Hey all, Just uploaded a couple of new files. The first is the two main heel teams from the infamous Tupelo Concession Stand Brawls. From the TCSB1, there is the Blonde Bombers - Larry Latham (Moondog Spot) and Wayne Farris (Honky Tonk Man) and from TCSB 2 there is Masa Fuchi and Mr Onita Also, if you need some cannon fodder, here you go with four famous Memphis jobbers - Pat Hutchinson, Freezer Thompson and Rough & Ready (along with their manager Boss Winders) Enjoy

Hey Trav, are those Memphis guys new versions, or the same ones as the ones you did on card stock back in the day? There are a few tweaks on some since the I tried to make those more Memphis related and these more Legends (if that makes sense).
