Want to try something a bit different with this fed. RULE SET: - Matches are contested under UWFI rules. - Matches can end on submission, KO, TKO, corner stoppage and ref stoppage. - When a wrestler is knocked down, they have a ten count to get back to their feet unless they've been knocked down five times in one match, in which case the referee must stop the match. - In tag team matches, teams lose points the same way as they do in singles matches with the added loss of points when a wrestler tags out or his partner has to break up a submission attempt. - If a match goes to the time limit, the wrestler with more points remaining will win the match.
RANKING SYSTEM: - Wrestlers will be ranked on win-loss records, as well as the manner in which they won or lost a match. - Once a champion has been established, the top 10 rankings will go into effect with the #1 ranked wrestler being the next challenger for the championship. - If a #1 ranked wrestler is unsuccessful in their bid to win the championship, they are out of the top 10 ranking and must earn their way back in. The only exception to this rule would be in the event of a draw, in which case the challenger would be moved to the #5 ranked position.
ROSTER: [America] Lou Thesz Ed Lewis Frank Gotch The Destroyer William Muldoon Steve Williams Danny Hodge Nick Bockwinkel Harley Race Dan Severn Gary Albright Josh Barnett Bryan Danielson
[Japan] Satoru Sayama Antonio Inoki Rikidozan Nobuhiko Takada Kazuo Yamazaki Kiyoshi Tamura Minoru Suzuki Akira Maeda
[Mexico] Mil Mascaras
[Canada] Killer Kowalski Don Leo Jonathan
[England] Nigel McGuinness Dave Taylor Johnny Saint
[Ireland] Fit Finlay
[Greece] Jim Londos
[Turkey] Youssuf Ishmaelo

Sounds interesting... are you using any alternate charts/stats, or just keeping track of the stuff you need to for the points?

Sounds interesting... are you using any alternate charts/stats, or just keeping track of the stuff you need to for the points? I'm gonna keep track of everything myself as far as points go. I'm using the original LOW cards of everyone except Finlay, I'm using the Promoter version of him. I've given some thought to incorporating a couple of bootlegs (my Takada and Tamura as well as LWPD's Volk Han), but for right now, what I've got is what I've got. I think this fed will be pretty fun provided I don't get bored like I do with every other fed.

UWFI Debut Show Card #1 - Tokyo Korakuen Hall:
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Alternate Bout 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: The Destroyer [USA] vs. Youssuf Ishmaelo [TUR] - Ishmaelo prevailed in a match that nearly went the distance as he downed the Destroyer late in the match with a rib crusher and locked in the STRANGLEHOLD to secure his place as an alternate in the Pro Wrestling World Tournament.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Alternate Bout 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Danny Hodge [USA] vs. Satoru Sayama [JPN] - This match will certainly be hard to top, as it was a back and forth affair between two of the best ever. Hodge seemed to have the advantage early on, dropping Sayama to 12 points before Sayama's comeback. After the first TIGER SUPLEX, Sayama continued unleashing brutal moves on Hodge, eventually winning after three knockdowns.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Nick Bockwinkel [USA] vs. Dave Taylor [ENG] - A very short match to start the actual tournament matches as Bockwinkel submitted Taylor using the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER in very decisive fashion. Taylor was unable to reach the ropes in time and passed out quickly.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Dan Severn [USA] vs. Johnny Saint [ENG] - Severn dominated the British legend, submitting him quickly with a move Severn has dubbed the Beast Choker. Prior to the submission, Severn landed four suplexes, bringing Saint's point total to 7.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Don Leo Jonathan [CAN] vs. Fit Finlay [IRE] - Jonathan continued the trend of quick main tournament matches, defeating Finlay in next to no time at all via TKO after a third giant swing.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Jim Londos [GRC] vs. George Hackenschmidt [RUS] - Both men went for several submission attempts in this match, neither opting to try to win this via a quick TKO. In the end, Londos wrenched away at Hack with a grinding armbar to win the match and advance to the second round. After the match, Hackenschmidt told reporters he was furious because he wanted to be able to avenge his losses to Frank Gotch during this tournament and now he would have to wait until either Gotch got eliminated, or Hack could make his way up the rankings.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Frank Gotch [USA] vs. Mil Mascaras [MEX] - Much like Severn vs. Saint, this match was nearly decided by suplexes as Gotch dropped Mascaras with no less than four Iowa backdrops. Gotch continued to pick Mascaras apart, submitting the legendary luchador with the rolling kneebar.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Ed Lewis [USA] vs. Rikidozan [JPN] - This was a match that seemed a lock as Lewis went after his headlock numerous times in the match, but Rikidozan saw fit to eat away at his point total so he could escape via rope break. Rikidozan fought back and late in the match submitted Lewis with a HiPLOCK.
SEMI FINAL - Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Harley Race [USA] vs. Killer Kowalski [CAN] - In a battle of two of the toughest dudes in pro wrestling history, Harley Race emerged victorious after putting Kowalski down three times with suplexes late in the match.
MAIN EVENT - Pro Wrestling World Tournament Opening Round Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Lou Thesz [USA] vs. Antonio Inoki [JPN] - This match was decided almost solely by suplexes. Inoki dropped Thesz with three straight back suplexes before Thesz mounted a comeback, landing a GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP, followed by a side saito and finally a THESZ PRESS to put Inoki away late in the match. In his post-match interview, Thesz made perfectly clear that he wanted to face Rikidozan at some point after Rikidozan's defeat of Ed Lewis.

UWFI Pro Wrestling World Tournament Stage Two Card #2 - Rose Garden:
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Fit Finlay [IRE] vs. Johnny Saint [ENG] - This was the first match in UWFI history to go to points, as neither man could submit or knock the other out. After 15 minutes of action, Saint won the match 9-6. The two shook hands and during the post-match interviews, Finlay said he wanted a rematch to prove he was the better wrestler.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Danny Hodge [USA] vs. Antonio Inoki [JPN] - Hodge attempted to whittle away at Inoki in this match, applying submissions constantly to try to run down the points Inoki had, however Inoki came back with a back suplex and followed up with an ENZUIGIRI to pick up a huge win over Hodge.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Ed Lewis [USA] vs. Youssuf Ishmaelo [TUR] - A very wild match that saw Ishmaelo penalized two downs and a point for continually throwing Lewis out of the ring. Lewis forced several rope breaks for Ishmaelo but in the end, a rib crusher resulted in the third down for Lewis and the second victory for the Terrible Turk.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Satoru Sayama [JPN] vs. George Hackenschmidt [RUS] - This was a very short, very entertaining match that was centered around suplexes. Sayama landed two straight Tiger Suplexes, but a failed Cobra Clutch suplex lead to Hackenschmidt hitting three straight wristlock suplexes to put Sayama away. Hackenschmidt's post match interview saw him once again challenge Frank Gotch to a match.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Quarterfinal Match 1 Fall; 45 Minute Time Limit: Jim Londos [GRC] vs. Frank Gotch [USA] - Londos tried his best to put Gotch away in this match, but Gotch locked in several rolling kneebars, wearing the legs of the Greek considerably befor finishing him with three Iowa Backdrops to pick up a win via three downs.
Pro Wrestling World Tournament Quarterfinal Match 1 Fall; 45 Minute Time Limit: Dan Severn [USA] vs. Don Leo Jonathan [CAN] - As expected, The Beast brought his vast arsenal of submissions to the table here but what ended the contest was a brutal German suplex that dropped Jonathan on his head and kept him down for the ref's full ten count.
SEMI FINAL - Pro Wrestling World Tournament Quarterfinal Match 1 Fall; 45 Minute Time Limit: Harley Race [USA] vs. Rikidozan [JPN] - In the fastest match of the tournament to this point, Rikidozan knocked Race out with the overhead chops. Rikidozan was asked post-match who he wanted to win the main event, and he answered with "Lou Thesz" before walking away from the interviewer.
MAIN EVENT - Pro Wrestling World Tournament Quarterfinal Match 1 Fall; 45 Minute Time Limit: Lou Thesz [USA] vs. Nick Bockwinkel [USA] - Thesz made no bones about it in this match, laying Bockwinkel down early with a side saito before dropping three GRECO ROMAN BACKDROPS to secure his place in the semifinals. Thesz said he's happy to face Rikidozan in the semifinals because Rikidozan beat Thesz's mentor, Ed Lewis, in the previous round of the tournament and he would get revenge for that in the semifinals.

Cool stuff here! Other Canadian representatives you could have also used Angelo Mosca, Billy Red Lyons, Kurrgan, The Vachons or the Mountie.

UWFI Pro Wrestling World Tournament Semi Final Card #3 - Wembley Arena
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Nick Bockwinkel [USA] vs. Killer Kowalski [CAN] - This match featured a surprising number of suplexes from Kowalski, as he used them in part to drop Bockwinkel's points to just 8. Bockwinkel would hit two suplexes of his own, but Kowalski would finish Bockwinkel with a shoulder breaker.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Satoru Sayama [JPN] vs. Antonio Inoki [JPN] - Two of Japan's greatest took part in a short, but thrilling match as Sayama opened up with a belly to belly suplex, followed by a second to put Inoki at a big disadvantage in points. Inoki fought back, hitting his ENZUIGIRI to turn the momentum in his favor. Inoki dropped Sayama's points through back suplexes before finishing him off with the OCTOPUS HOLD.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Danny Hodge [USA] vs. Jim Londos [GRC] - Hodge made quick work of Londos, using two OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLLS before submitting Londos with a Boston Crab. Hodge issued a challenge to the winner of the Pro Wrestling World Tournament after the match in a press interview.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Harley Race [USA] vs. Youssuf Ishmaelo [TUR] - In yet another quick match, Race put Ishmaelo away with a back suplex following a PILEDRIVER. Ishmaelo started off hot but had a bear hug attempt countered by Race which lead to Race picking up the victory.
Tag Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: George Hackenschmidt [RUS] and Fit Finlay [IRE] vs. Johnny Saint [ENG] and Ed Lewis [USA] - This was a quick match that saw Hackenschmidt submit Lewis with the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG on the third attempt. Hackenschmidt took the time once again in his post match interview to challenge Frank Gotch, saying he wanted to be appointed the #1 ranked wrestler if Gotch wins the tournament.
SEMI FINAL - Pro Wrestling World Tournament Semi Final Match 1 Fall; 45 Minute Time Limit: Frank Gotch [USA] vs. Dan Severn [USA] - In a match between two of the best wrestlers that America has ever produced, we saw nothing less than a tremendous mat wrestling contest. Contrary to what you might expect, Gotch threw the lone suplex in this match and actually submitted "The Beast" with a GOTCH TOEHOLD. Gotch was asked about Hackenschmidt by the press after the match, saying that Hackenschmidt failed in the opening round and that he doesn't deserve to be given the top ranking until he beats the top wrestlers in the UWFI.
MAIN EVENT - Pro Wrestling World Tournament Semi Final Match 1 Fall; 45 Minute Time Limit: Lou Thesz [USA] vs. Rikidozan [JPN] - The previous match focused solely on mat wrestling, whereas this match saw Thesz doing everything he could to avoid the chops of Rikidozan while still trying to land his suplexes or the THESZ PRESS. Late in the match, Rikidozan fell victim to a THESZ PRESS that kept him down for the full ten count, not only allowing Thesz entry into the final but avenging the loss of Ed Lewis to Rikidozan. In the post-event press interview, Thesz noted that Gotch is considered by many to be the greatest wrestler ever and that we would find out when the match between the two took place.

UWFI Pro Wrestling World Tournament Final Card #4 - Madison Square Garden:
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Dan Severn [USA] vs. Danny Hodge [USA] - Two of America's finest took to the mat in the opener of the most important UWFI show to date and it was a war. Hodge was outgunned in the brute force department, leading to Severn submitting Hodge with the WAKIGATAME.
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Fit Finlay [IRE] vs. Jim Londos [GRC] - Londos attempted to start off hot with a takedown on Finlay, but Finlay was able to catch him and drive him to the mat with a TOMBSTONE. Londos could not answer the referee's count and as a result, Finly logs the quickest victory to date in UWFI.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Youssuf Ishmaelo [TUR] vs. Rikidozan [JPN] - In a surprisingly one-sided match, Ishmaelo defeated Rikidozan after locking in the dangerous STRANGLEHOLD several times. Riki did manage a mini comeback that was quickly thwarted by the Turk. Ishmaelo told the press that he is the undisputed #1 ranked wrestler in the UWFI and issued a challenge to both Thesz and Gotch.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: The Destroyer [USA] vs. Satoru Sayama [JPN] - Despite an early back suplex from Sayama, the Destroyer quickly took over and submitted Sayama with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Antonio Inoki [JPN] vs. Don Leo Jonathan [CAN] - Jonathan appeared to have everything going his way until Inoki countered a second suplex attempt from Jonathan. Inoki landed a brutal back suplex of his own and followed up with the ENZUIGIRI before submitted the giant with the OCTOPUS HOLD.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Ed Lewis [USA] vs. Harley Race [USA] - This was a long, physical match between two of the toughest men wrestling has ever seen. Race put up an admirable fight but he was no match for Lewis, falling victim to the STRANGLER HEADLOCK.
SEMIFINAL - Single Match 1 Fall; 45 Minute Time Limit: George Hackenschmidt [RUS] vs. Johnny Saint [ENG] - Hackenschmidt put Saint away in a quick match with the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG. Before the match, Hackenschmidt's manager demanded that Jimmy Lennon Jr. announce Hackenschmidt as the #1 wrestler in the world. In the post-match interviews, Hackenschmidt said that nobody has the record that he does against the level of talent that he does and demanded to be the first contender for the World Title.
MAIN EVENT - Pro Wrestling World Tournament Final 1 Fall; 60 Minute Time Limit: Lou Thesz [USA] vs. Frank Gotch [USA] - Proving once and for all who the best wrestler on the planet is, Thesz dominated Gotch, putting him away with three straight THESZ PRESSES. The post-match interview saw Thesz formally accept the challenge of George Hackenschmidt, saying that Hack has proven himself a worthy top contender and that he believes Gotch will gain a championship rematch sooner rather than later. It was announced that Gotch is now ranked #2 and would face Youssuf Ishmaelo to determine the next #1 contender in the near future.
THE OFFICIAL UWFI TOP 10 RANKINGS: #10. Ed Lewis #9. Danny Hodge #8. Harley Race #7. Don Leo Jonathan #6. Fit Finlay #5. Antonio Inoki #4. Dan Severn #3. Youssuf Ishmaelo #2. Frank Gotch #1. George Hackenschmidt [Ch] Lou Thesz
