I'm guessing Hack with a win here will be taking on Hodge in the next eliminator? Depends on how Thesz/Severn turns out. If Hack/Thesz win, they might wind up the next eliminator. Barring that happening, Hodge is certainly going to be moved up despite having no match on this card.

UWFI "The King's Road" Card #7 - Mexico City Arena:
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Killer Kowalski [#10; CAN] vs. Youssuf Ishmaelo [#8; TUR] - In as grueling an opener as UWFI has seen to this point, Ishmaelo submitted Kowalski with his fourth STRANGLEHOLD attempt. Kowalski locked in two CLAW HOLDS but was unable to finish off the Turk who after a victory like this, will likely see his stock raised quite a bit.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Rikidozan [JPN] vs. Mil Mascaras [MEX] - Mascaras took to the ring in front of his fellow countrymen, but unfortunately for him, Rikidozan would put him down three times and gain a victory following a scoop slam.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Nick Bockwinkel [USA] vs. Johnny Saint [ENG] - Much like their previous match, this one was a slow match that was more akin to a stalemate in chess than anything else. These two went hold-for-hold with very little advantage either way and once gain, went the distance. After 20 minutes of wrestling, the match was ruled a draw at 14-14.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: The Destroyer [USA] vs. Jim Londos [#6; GRC] - This was unquestionably the best Destroyer we've ever seen in UWFI as he dominated Londos with the sensational suplex and FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. In the end, Destroyer would suplex Londos to drop his point total to zero and finally guarantee himself a spot on the rankings. In the press interviews, Londos said that Destroyer was his toughest opponent. Destroyer told the press that he expected more high profile matches in the future.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: George Hackenschmidt [#5; RUS] vs. Ed Lewis [USA] - Much like Lou Thesz, Hackenschmidt dropped his first match after losing the title. In Hack's case, one small mistake lead to several STRANGLER HEADLOCKS, the fourth of which he submitted to, meaning that Ed Lewis would be yet another addition to the top 10 rankings.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Lou Thesz [#7; USA] vs. Dan Severn [#9; USA] - Thesz showed up tonight determined to prove that two losses don't define him as a man or a wrestler, as Severn showed up to prove he deserved to be in the top five once again. Thesz would endure a German suplex, only to rally back and drop "The Best" with the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP and lock in the steopover toehold facelock, or STF, to pick up the victory and send him back up the rankings to a potential eliminator match with Danny Hodge.
SEMI FINAL - Pro Wrestling World Championship Eliminator 1 Fall; 60 Minute Time Limit: Antonio Inoki [#2; JPN] vs. Don Leo Jonathan [#3; CAN] - Jonathan had the momentum for the early moments of the match, but once Inoki mounted his comeback, there was no stopping him. Several back suplexes later, Jonathan submitted to the fourth OCTOPUS HOLD of the match, and allowed Inoki entry into the World Title match.
MAIN EVENT - Pro Wrestling World Championship 1 Fall; 60 Minute Time Limit: Frank Gotch [CHAMPION; USA] vs. Fit Finlay [CHALLENGER; IRE] - Finlay certainly started off hot, putting the champion in danger early, but Gotch fought back, hitting two Iowa backdrops before locking in the famed GOTCH TOEHOLD. With this victory, not only does Gotch become the first man to successfully defend the belt, Finlay is now gone from the top 10 rankings and has to earn his way back in.
THE OFFICIAL UWFI TOP 10 RANKINGS: #10. Ed Lewis #9. Jim Londos #8. Rikidozan #7. George Hackenschmidt #6. Don Leo Jonathan #5. Youssuf Ishmaelo #4. The Destroyer #3. Danny Hodge #2. Lou Thesz #1. Antonio Inoki [Ch] Frank Gotch

Didn't do too bad with my predictions last time. See how I do this round. Didn't vote in matches where I don't know the names. Conragts to Gotch for defending. Hope he builds a steady stream of defenses. Good stuff bro.

That's a good run for the Turk... sorta surprising! Saint-Bock will be needed another one, it seems

UWFI "The King's Road" Card #8 - Tokyo Dome:
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Harley Race [USA] vs. Fit Finlay [IRE] - Harley started off hot, but Finlay countered a headbutt from Race, responded with one of his own and put the former NWA Champion down with a hard scoop slam just 5 minutes into their atch.
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: George Hackenschmidt [#7; RUS] vs. Kazuo Yamazaki [JPN] - Hack made quick work of the UWF standout Yamazaki, putting him away quickly with a RUSSIAN BEAR HUG just two minutes into the match.
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Gary Albright [USA] vs. Nobuhiko Takada [JPN] - Takada is a national hero in Japan for his performances in shoot style companies in the 1990s and he was paired up against an old rival of his, Gary Albright. Albright took the fight to Takada early, taking 10 points of Takada's quickly with two FULL NELSON SUPLEXES. Takada battled back, submitting the massive American with the JUJIGATAME. In the press interviews, he credited his success tonight to his training with Lou Thesz.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Kiyoshi Tamura [JPN] vs. Satoru Sayama [JPN] - Two standouts from the original shoot style boom, Sayama took the fight to Tamura tonight but ultimately fell to a heel hook from Tamura in four minutes.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Nick Bockwinkel [USA] vs. Minoru Suzuki [JPN] - Suzuki, arguably the most legitimate competitor of the debuts on the card tonight, had his hands full with Nick Bockwinkel, who was determined to find himself in the rankings. Bockwinkel would win the match with the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER, but the match time was 17:54.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: The Destroyer [#4; USA] vs. Dan Severn [USA] - This was a grueling, bloody battle that saw Destroyer in control for nearly the whole match. Severn did land two German suplexes on Destroyer, but Destroyer would eventually exhaust Severn's 15 points with sensational suplexes and submission attempts, picking up arguably the most decisive win to date in UWFI.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Ed Lewis [#10; USA] vs. Rikidozan [#8; JPN] - Lewis, on the verge of being dropped from the rankings, made a very big statement tonight by submitting Rikidozan with the second STRANGLER HEADLOCK of the match. Such a dominant victory will surely put him higher in the rankings, and Lewis commented post-match that he knows full well that he's quite a ways away from a title shot.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Youssuf Ishmaelo [#5; TUR] vs. Don Leo Jonathan [#6; CAN] - The Turk never had a chance in this match, as DLJ controlled the action from the opening bell and smashed the Turk, beating him after knocking him down three times, the latter of which came after a MORMON SWING.
SEMI FINAL - Pro Wrestling World Championship Eliminator 1 Fall; 60 Minute Time Limit: Lou Thesz [#2; USA] vs. Danny Hodge [#3; USA] - What started off as a quick, back and forth mat exchange quickly turned ugly for Hodge as Thesz dropkicked him and followed it up with three consecutive THESZ PRESSES to win via three knockdowns. Thesz was questioned by reporters about the main event and Thesz said both Gotch and Inoki are tremendous wrestlers but regardless of who wins, he has a victory over both of them. Reporters questioned Thesz about Takada's training with him and Thesz said that he sees Takada like a younger version of himself and someone who will be a major player someday.
MAIN EVENT - Pro Wrestling World Championship 1 Fall; 60 Minute Time Limit: Frank Gotch [CHAMPION; USA] vs. Antonio Inoki [CHALLENGER; JPN] - This very well may go down in history as the most one sided title defense UWFI will ever see. Inoki, in front of 60,000 f his fellow countrymen, was simply outclassed for 39 minutes. Gotch wrecked Inoki's knee with the rolling kneebar to the point that when Inoki was finally put in the GOTCH TOEHOLD, Inoki's corner had no choice but to stop the match. Inoki's leg was completely swollen and there's no doubt he has some sort of serious injury to his leg. Reporters asked Gotch about the rematch with Thesz and Gotch said that Thesz got him on a bad day, but it won't happen again.
THE OFFICIAL UWFI TOP 10 RANKINGS: #10. Rikidozan #9. Nobuhiko Takada #8. Kiyoshi Tamura #7. Youssuf Ishmaelo #6. Ed Lewis #5. Don Leo Jonathan #4. Danny Hodge #3. George Hackenschmidt #2. The Destroyer #1. Lou Thesz [Ch] Frank Gotch

Gotch is on a total roll right now. I wonder if Thesz can end that streak?
I'll take the Destroyer over Hack for the next title shot.
UWFi is screaming for some William Muldoon and John Pesek.

I was thinking John Pesek would be an excellent addition as well! I'd like to see the Destroyer break through and get a title shot as well... you don't want the smarks to start complaining about UWFi's glass ceiling where only Hack, Thesz and Gotch get title shots

I've got Muldoon, but I've lost my cards for Pesek and Bob Roop somewhere so I might have to rebuy Originals. Muldoon's going to be coming in soon and I'm going to be running more tag matches.

UWFI "Leave No Doubt" Card #9 - MGM Grand Garden Hotel & Casino:
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Dan Severn [USA] vs. Harley Race [USA] - Things looked bleak for Severn early as Race seemed to have things well in hand until Severn slammed Race with a takedown and locked in the WAKIGATAME to submit one of the toughest men in pro wrestling history. Severn told the press after the match that he knows it's not going to be an easy road back into title contention but he's the best wrestler in the world.
Single Match 1 Fall; 15 Minute Time Limit: Gary Albright [USA] vs. Johnny Saint [ENG] - Saint seemed like a bad matchup for Albright on paper, being quicker and a bit wittier on the mat but Albright never gave Saint a chance, knocking him out with the FULL NELSON SUPLEX.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Fit Finlay [IRE] vs. Satoru Sayama [JPN] - Many are begin to call into question the legality of Finlay's headbutt, as it has directly lead to several wins on his part and tonight busted Sayama wide open before Finlay delivered two TOMBSTONES to win the match via KO.
Single Match 1 Fall; 20 Minute Time Limit: Nobuhiko Takada [#9; JPN] vs. Nick Bockwinkel [USA] - Takada was fresh off a successful debut on the last show and continued that momentum here, submitting Bockwinkel in under four minutes with the JUJIGATAME.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Danny Hodge [#4; USA] vs. Kiyoshi Tamura [#8; JPN] - Undoubtedly in the conversation for the best UWFI match to date, these two went the full 30 minutes without a winner. Hodge twice attempted his OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL transitioned into a submission, but Tamura refused to quit. Hodge returned that sentiment when Tamura locked his ARM BAR in. At the end of the fight, Tamura won on points, being up 13-11.
Single Match 1 Fall; 30 Minute Time Limit: Ed Lewis [#6; USA] vs. Youssuf Ishmaelo [#7; TUR] - Never count out Youssuf Ishmaelo. This was a brutal, bloody match as two of the toughest men in UWFI went to war with a potential spot in an eliminator hanging in the balance. Lewis would control a lot of the match and put Ishmaelo in some serious danger, but in the end the Turk put out the Strangler with, of all holds, the STRANGLEHOLD.
SEMI FINAL - Pro Wrestling World Championship Eliminator 1 Fall; 60 Minute Time Limit: The Destroyer [#2; USA] vs. George Hackenschmidt [#3; RUS] - The Destroyer may very well be renamed the Spoiler, as he dashed the dreams of fans hoping for a second Thesz vs. Hackenschmidt match and fans who wanted a fourth showdown between Hack and Gotch. The match was short and ended on the very first FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, giving The Destroyer the next shot at the belt.
MAIN EVENT - Pro Wrestling World Championship 1 Fall; 60 Minute Time Limit: Frank Gotch [CHAMPION; USA] vs. Lou Thesz [CHALLENGER; USA] - And just like that, the greatest UWFI Championship reign came to an end. Thesz landed a side saito early on, following up with several hammerlock attempts, presumably softening Gotch up for a big double wristlock finish. Thesz would hit the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP and followed it up with the THESZ PRESS to reclaim his throne. In the press interviews, Thesz said he was looking forward to facing The Destroyer at Yankee Stadium on the next card. Thesz said he doesn't understand why guys wrestle in masks, but remarked the Destroyer is a great wrestler.
THE OFFICIAL UWFI TOP 10 RANKINGS: #10. Dan Severn #9. Fit Finlay #8. Ed Lewis #7. Danny Hodge #6. Kiyoshi Tamura #5. Frank Gotch #4. George Hackenschmidt #3. Youssuf Ishmaelo #2. Nobuhiko Takada #1. The Destroyer [Ch] Lou Thesz

It'd be a heck of an upset for Destroyer, but very cool if he pulls it off. Are you starting a tag division, or will they factor in to the regular rankings, or just for fun?
