In my FCCW fed Austin Aries has been just a stand out champion and really making the title credible by taking on all challengers. I was setting up a great feud between he and Brent Albright. Last house show Aries injures Albright BUT he works hurt on the TV Taping only to be injured again and sidelined three shows before the big supercard that would have seen Albright challenge for the title. So now I am left with bringing in the number two contender with hardly any build up OR use this as an opportunity to bring in someone new and challenge at the Supercard. Mystery Opponent and see where it goes from there. Not sure how that would go over if it were an actual promotion? Also I would have to choose someone "big named" otherwise the mystery opponent payoff would be cheapened IF he were to actually win and take the title from Aries. When Albright returns he will continue his feud with Aries but if this new opponent works out I may just leave Alrbight hurt for awhile and either bring him back in a new role and program OR use this as a way to phase him out of the company. Thoughts?

Gorgeous George teamed up with Maurice Tillet as Beauty And The Beast in his feud with Andre The Giant. George has a long running feud going with Andre and brought in Tillet as someone who has a beef with Andre from years ago growing up together in France. Andre's biggest ally in this feud is Jim Powers who he took under his wing and became sort of a mentor to

Thoughts? Well, if you have someone you want to bring in anyway, it's a good time... you could always have Albright interfere in the match, either to team with the new guy, or to make sure he gets Aries when he's back. If Aries is already on a good run, a win over an 'outsider' can only help. The new guy could even get attacked during the match to start up whatever feud you want for him. Alternatively, you could have Aries gloat about taking him out and wait a few months to bring him back.

Gary Albright's two defenses in but his next defense against Thesz. Albright has the chance to prove he's not a fluke champion and I've got a feeling Thesz is about to embark on reign #3. Unfortunately for whoever wins, they have to deal with the winner of Inoki vs. Barnett.

Some great ideas wildfire and maddog! I will probably keep Albright in he just won't be able to make an appearance at my super card. Roderick Strong is my #2 guy but he and Aries already had a feud and it was Aries who took the belt from him. It was a lack luster feud to be honest and I am not sure if I want to give it another shot. Adam Pearce is my Heritage Champion so maybe I put Strong and Pearce against each other on my next TV taping and the winner gets the title shot. If Strong wins it, I won't mind too much since he would be a place holder until Albright returns. And if Pearce wins it then a champion vs. champion match would be pretty cool and if Pearce were to win? How cool would that be?! This gives me some options! Thanks!

I just posted episode 6 of the first season of WCW. Through all the first rounds of the tournaments and now this is where the season starts to get interesting. The semi-finals will be over the next 3 weeks and then I can start crowning some champions.
I need to decide what I'm doing post season 1. Do I just wait a whole season before challengers win the second tournaments or do I run a mini-season and mini-tournaments to establish quick challengers. I haven't decided yet.

I just had unquestionably the most spectacular show I've ever had, especially considering my fed is 'shoot' style. So many great, quick finishes and a few matches were competitive. Main event result disappointed me but I guess I should have expected it.

Finally got back to my card... and, of course, Mike Graham beat Tony Atlas to win the title. On the plus side, it was easily the best match I've had in the 5 cards, very fun...a close 2nd was the other match that messed up my booking, Dan Spivey beating Ray Stephens (who I wanted to give a re-match against Atlas).
So, totally new plans necessary, but it was a really fun card.

Mike Graham is a surprisingly tough card. Even the matches he's lost he had chances to win.

Atlas lost to Dan Spivey in MWCW this weekend. That's spawned a feud with Mike Graham and Tony Atlas against Kevin Sullivan's stable that includes Bob Roop and Dan Spivey. Atlas is living up to his inconsistent form here. Spivey got him hurt and down and Atlas just couldn't make the comeback. His charts also are hurting him a lot. I think that puts Atlas at 4-2 since I started using him. He's still perfect in the #2 or #3 babyface roll that I'm using him in though. You need that guy that can drop a feud to a heel that's heading up to the top to face Tommy Rich.
Mike Graham has been a real revelation so far though. His stats aren't much to look at but he's 3-1 and has a victory over Jerry Lynn in my WCW fed. He is just a tough card on the defensive side and he doesn't have anything that stalls him out horribly on offense. I think given enough time he'll hold a championship in one of my feds.

Do a mini-season for sure! Yeah, I did the math and it would only take a 5 episode mini-season to get challengers for season 2. I'm going that route once this season finishes.

Blackjack Mulligan lost by disqualification to World champion Harley Race back on Thanksgiving, with the stipulation Mulligan set being that if he lost he would retire. At the request of Magnum TA Mulligan was in his corner this past weekend to watch his back as Magnum defended the National title against Akbar's man, One Man Gang. This past television taping Akbar appeared as Magnum and Mulligan were being interviewed. Akbar claims promoter Bill Watts and Magnum TA conspired to hire a crooked ref who disqualified Mulligan so they could get Mulligan out of the ring.
Also on the show, coming off of Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express attacking Angelo Poffo when he was there to support Lanny in his tag team title match, the Express were being interviewed when Angelo and Lanny interrupted. The Midnight Express found out that when they messed with two of the Poffo's they ended up in a war with three, as Randy Savage made his debut and attacked.
Tony Atlas has had his problems with The Grappler and Buddy Rode, while Tommy Rich is locked in a feud with Eddie and Doug Gilbert. Atlas ran out to help Rich after his match with Doug this past show, and Rich returned the favor by fighting alongside Atlas when Mr USA was attacked by Grappler and Rose after Atlas' match with Rose. It seems like an alliance may be forming based on necessity and mutual respect.
Ted DiBiase has disappeared since losing the National title to Magnum TA on Thanksgiving, and his former Rat Pack members Williams and Duggan have been fighting with each other ever since. DiBiase should be making his return soon and will definitely stir things up when he does.
