The continuously confused and angry Solar Matter entered the ring and demanded whoever Guardian was talking about that could send him back come out immediately. Psi entered the ring and told Solar Matter he was in contact with someone who may understand the way Solar Matter got to this dimension and a way to get him back. Matter said he wasn't interested in "may", lost his temper again, and attacked.
Psi defeated Solar Matter with Mind Over Matter. After the match Psi said that if Matter changes his mind he can try to consult him again, this time without the temper tantrum.
She Devil defeated Scorn.Scorn had the match won but Clinch jumped on the apron and tossed his towel in Scorn's face. That allowed She Devil to sneak up behind her distracted opponent and get the pin.
Clinch took the mic and declared the pair the GWF's "power couple". Endgame stormed the ring with his GWF title belt and said Clinch knew nothing about real power. He said he never liked Clinch or his boring partner, but he's about to give him the gift of letting him feel the REAL power behind Black Death, with the GWF title on the line.
Endgame squashed Clinch in a GWF title match. She Devil got up on the apron after the quick finish, but Endgame sent her flying with a powerful forearm to the face. PAGANAX ran out and hit Endgame with the Primal Scream to send him over the top rope in the opposite direction. GWF security raced out to intervene as the champ yelled and raged, demanding Euritar give him a match with Paganax.
Tauran beat Ensor with the Victory Star Drop.
Overtime won by disqualification over Tricks.
Plethador did a Pleth Pilates demonstration in the ring and said he was so inspired by Mantis' beatdown of Balaal that he's taking the fight to Black Death himself. Abroz came to the ring to meet the challenge.
Abroz used the Eyes Of Death for the no moves win.Pleth actually controlled the entire short match, but went for the Suction Claw and was met with the Eyes Of Death for the loss.
Sur pinned Monolith with a Perfect Power Bomb.Monolith seemed to have it won, but missed Catastrophe which allowed Sur to use Gift of the Gods. Monolith survived that, but got put down by a Perfect Power Bomb two moves later for the rare clean pinfall loss.
After the match Sur said Endgame had forgotten his place on the team, but he'll be glad to remind him when he takes the GWF title because that win surely made him the new number one contender.

Sur and Endgame will be a good one. That's a matchup I haven't done with Endgame's new card. Excited to see it. Great stuff.

Sur and Endgame will be a good one. That's a matchup I haven't done with Endgame's new card. Excited to see it. Great stuff. The match will go down, but I get there in a slightly roundabout way that brings the entire year full circle. I'm actually playing catch-up on posting stuff that I rolled a while back. Last card of the year is all I've got left to actually play and then it's on to 2130.

I'm off to Delaware to work a few days on a film project but as soon as I get back, 2130 will begin. Can't wait.

Euritar has some bad news for Sur, after Sur declared himself number one contender on last show: Black Death's hold on the galaxy is weakening and their power over the GWF is too. Euritar calls the shots, and Overmaster and Paganax would be wrestling for the number one contender spot in the main event. Sur was irrate and said he easily pinned Monolith and should have the title match. That made an angry Monolith come to the ring, but he was blocked by heavily armed security. He screamed for a rematch, and Euritar agreed to it. He said furthermore that he'd prove he was being fair to everyone involved; the winners of the Monolith/Sur and Paganax/Overmaster matches would wrestle at the next event, and the winner of THAT match would face Endgame for the GWF title at the Year End Spectacular.
Swarm, Mantis, and Plethador defeated Balaal, Abroz, and Zygon Mantis beat Balaal with Prey Snare
Titan Samurai beat Council Of War when Azuma pinned Thraxx.
FDF Watchmen won by disqulification over Splatter and Deathmasque.
Havoc pinned Payback after Cosmic Nightmare.
Shayne beat Cage Death Betrayer via Showdown. After the match Ensor attacked Shayne, but Guardian ran out to help him. Euritar scheduled a tag team match between the two teams for the Year End Spectacular.
Sur beat Monolith with Gift Of The Gods This is the first time Monolith has ever been beaten on back-to-back shows by the same wrestlers.
Paganax pinned Overmaster after Primal Scream.
Following the match Sur tried to attack Paganax but was cut off in the aisle by Shayne. Sur retreated and Shayne told Paganax he'd back off of his pursuit of Endgame and the GWF title out of respect for the Chief, but he'd be there to watch his back if he needs it. Paganax nodded in acknowledgement, held out his fist for the manly tradition of the bumping of the fist, and walked away.

Splatter and Deathmasque beat FDF Watchmen. The hooded mystery man was at ringside to provide crucial distraction, allowing Splatter to use Arsenal on Helsin for the pin.
She Devil pinned Taichi. Clinch was absent from ringside, likely nursing his injuries after the beatdown Endgame gave him. After the match Shoot confronted She Devil and told her to tell Clinch to get his head on straight and refocus on the Ultimate Fighters, otherwise he can get lost from the GWF because it won't be a big enough place for both of them.
Nosfera defeated Skiver with Spring Hell Kick. Patch got into the ring right away to make sure Nosfera didn't continue the attack.
Overtime pinned Star Warrior for a come from behind win. Warrior dominated the match, but failed to get the pin. Overtime finally blocked a springboard DDT and used Rings Of Saturn for the win.
Thantos went to ringside to taunt Warrior over the loss. They were about to come to blows when Euritar stepped in. He said he was tired of the nonsense going and he had two announcements to make. First, their former partner Splatter and his new partner Deathmasque will face FDF Watchmen one more time at the Year End Spectacular, this time in a no disqualification match. That masked guy who has been showing up at ringside is NOT a licensed manager or member of the GWF and if he shows himself that night he'd better be ready to reveal his identity. Second, Star Warrior and Thantos will wrestle each other that night as well, and to make sure Nova doesn't get involved it will be a Zero Gravity Platform Match.
Havoc defeated Turmoil after a second Cosmic Nightmare.
Harbinger (w/Guardian) defeated Bex (w/Abroz) Abroz tried to get involved but was stopped by Guardian, leading to Bex falling to Astral Warrior.
Afterwards Guardian reported that, as we have discovered, that loss is going to weaken the powers of those under the Black Death possession heading into the Year End Spectacular, which should be the final night for the Black Death forces as their grip on the GWF finally comes to an end.
Paganax beat Sur to become number one contender to the GWF title. Paganax had to use his finisher three times to finally get the pin in this epic encounter.
Sur went wild after the match, trashing the ringside area and accusing the referee of bias. He said he's the greatest wrestler in the GWF, the leader of Black Death (not Endgame), and all he needs is a fair chance to prove it. Endgame raged down to the ring and said he wasn't afraid to defend the GWF title twice in one night if that's what it takes to finally prove his dominance over everyone and everything in Black Death AND the GWF. Euritar showed up in the entrance way and said they began the year with two GWF title matches as the bookends of Deimos Perennial stage two, and they'll end it the same way then at the Year End Spectacular. It will be Sur versus Endgame in the opening match for the GWF title, and the winner will face Paganax in the final match of the night.

Huge win by Paganax. I wish he'd get a win like that in my fed. He just can't seem to win when it matters.

Year End Spectacular 2129 Endgame defeated Sur to defend the GWF titleThis one did not go well for Sur. Endgame was pretty dominant and won with Endgame's Revenge. After the match Endgame pounded his chest and said Black Death is finished. They let the vehicle of their demise walk right into their team when Sur and Bex thought they were big enough to control him. Splatter and Deathmasque won by disqualification over FDF Watchmen under strange circumstances.Several minutes into the match the hooded mystery man appeared at ringside as Splatter was about to use Arsenal on Helsin. Mystery guy grabbed Arsenal away from Splatter and hit him with it. Deathmasque tried to help Splatter, but got hit in the ribs by Hooded dude weilding Arsenal as well. Then, just as mysteriously as he appeared, the man with no face was gone. Splatter and Deathmasque picked themselves up off the mat and began to argue over what had just happened. As it turned out NEITHER man knew who the guy was after all, and both thought he was with the other man (Splatter thought DM brought him, and DM thought he was with Splatter). Splatter attacked Deathmasque and laid him out to apparently end the odd alliance. Titan Samurai defeated The Ultimate Fighters when Kenji submitted Clinch with a Kimura.Shoot was once again unhappy with his partner's lack of concentration. Ensor came to the ring without his tag team partner The Betrayer, probably because Deathmasque Betrayer got laid out two matches prior. Also apparently ending the speculation that the Betrayer was two different guys. Shayne and The Guardian defeated Ensor in what ended up being a handicap match.Shayne tagged out to Guardian at the end so he could get the easy pin following the Guardian Hammer. After the match Guardian said the Betrayer mystery was solved, and so was the Black Death menace. They unleashed more than they could handle and it backfired on them as predicted. Guardian said he needed to go back to his own realm now that the situation was under control, but he was calling on Shayne to finish the last part of the fight by taking the GWF title from Endgame if Paganax can't do it tonight. Shayne agreed and shook Guardian's hand before Guardian disappeared in a blinding flash of light. Team Ultramantis entered the ring for a match, but got attacked and beat down by Rush and Turmoil. Rush said it was like old times again with the Aethrans destroying Andromedans. Then he called out Havoc so he could deal with him the same way. Rush won by disqualification over Havoc.Great match. Havoc could not put Rush away and got frustrated. He used his power staff (currently ineffective since Bex lost BD powers for his team on the last show) as a weapon to bash Rush with it on the arena floor. Turmoil made the save for his partner, and Havoc took off. Star Warrior and Thantos wrestled to a draw in a Zero Gravity Platform matchLONG match, neither guy could put the other away after multiple attempts. Finally Thantos speared Warrior through the ropes and both men fell out of the ring. Neither could meet the ten count to get back and the referee had to rule it a draw. (After fifteen tries each I just made the next out of the ring scenario that didn't result in a win a draw.) Ghenna beat Harbinger with the Brain Basher. After the match Harbinger grabbed a chair and smashed it repeatedly over the head and back of Ghenna. Shayne ran out and grabbed the chair. Shayne told him that's not how "the good guys" are supposed to act. Harbinger stated flatly "I'm not one of the good guys" and left without looking back. Paganax beat Endgame to win the GWF title.Endgame went undefeated right up until the last match of the year. He used Endgame's Revenge, but took too much time to make the cover and Paganax kicked out right before the three. Paganax made the comeback and used Ascent of the King to get the pin on his first attempt of the match. Endgame walked away quitly after the match, as if all the anger and power had been drained from him. Paganax was joined by the other members of the FDF, and Shayne came out to congratulate him as well. Shayne said he trusts the GWF title is safe in the hands of Paganax, and Paganax declared the GWF his tribe now and the GWF title makes him its undisputed leader. Paganax finished up by warning that anyone who tries to destroy his tribe again will have to deal with the Heathen Chief.

Man oh man! Great card! And PAGANAX takes it! As further evidence that I don't know how to play this game correctly, I cannot get PAGANAX to win against any main event guy. Here he's winning championships! Great write up! Can't wait to see what you do with 2130!

Prelude to 2130:
- With Black Death defeated everyone attempted to get back to normal. The event took its toll on the GWF, as most of the Black Death infected wrestlers have been forced to leave the Federation. The remaining men (Bishop, Balaal, and Coven Black) have been kept together by the ultimate opportunist Dark Menace under the banner of the DMF (Dark Menace Forces). The heroes have further suffered a demoralizing loss as Dark Menace has recruited Harbinger, whom he says will be able to unleash his true dark side as a member of the DMF. The status of Endgame remains unknown as he has not been seen or heard from since the Year End Spectacular.
- Euritar has annoucned that the Omega Memorial tournament (the staple event of the Deimos Perennial for the past four years) will also be for the vacated Interplanetary championship. That title was vacated after Endgame demolished both the champion AND the title belt, sending Hector into seclusion. Shayne, Swarm, Star Warrior, Thantos, Nosfera, Overtime, and Bishop Hell are all scheduled to compete. There was some controversy over who would represent the Gladiators since previous winners and the prior year's competitors are not allowed to enter the tournament.Overmaster is of course a former winner and Paralyze was in the tournament last year. The answer from Overmaster was that Rush would prove his detractors wrong and represent the Gladiators in this year's event.
And then the ship landed
Magnus Colby and his crew or wrestlers from a different time and place shocked the galaxy with their dramatic appearance. Even more shocking were the defections of current GWF stars Thantos, Havoc, and Tharkus. Magnus said a man like Omega is not worth memorializing but Thantos will still compete as scheduled. His plan is to win the tournament and have a ceremonial "breaking of the code" after he is crowned the new Interplanetary champion.
- Magnus is counter-programming the Omega Memorial with a "Magnus Invitational" for Stage II of the Deimos Perennial event. He is inviting the best tag teams in the GWF to prove themselves against his teams, with bragging rights to the winners. The GWF tag team champions Rush and Turmoil were the first to accept, and upped the ante by voluntarily putting the GWF tag team championship on the line in every match they're in during the tournament. Magnus is sending in his teams The Cloak (Splatter and Code Breaker) and The Deserters (Adam Traitor and Tharkus). The GWF representatives will be the champs, Team UltraMantis, Titan Samurai, Spellbound, FDF Watchmen, and Ultimate Fighters.
And that is where we stand heading into 2130 and the Deimos Perennial

2130 Deimos Perennial: Stage One Omega Memorial Cup history 2126 - Havoc 2127 - Aethran Overmaster 2128 - Endgame 2129 - Harbinger The traditional opening montage memorializing the life and career of GWF patriarch Omega was interrupted by the appearance of Thantos who had a stone tablet and began to recreate his symbolic "breaking of the code". Just as he was about to send a sledgehammer crashing down on the tablet, he was interrupted by Star Warrior, starting out the tournament with a bang. Thantos defeated Star Warrior via Masterlock. The rules of the Omega Memorial bar allies from ringside and the absence of Nova seemed to make a big difference. It was still a hotly contested match, but Warrior went for the Supernova Splash on two occasions and Nova was not there to provide the distraction. The end came when Thantos bailed out after being on the receiving end of a beating. Warrior got too close and Thantos grabbed his leg, dragged him to the corner, and wrapped the knee around the corner post. Thantos climbed back in the ring and applied the Masterlock for the submission. Rush defeated Swarm with the Adrenaline Rush.Mild upset here as The Gladiators continue to back up their claims of total dominance over Andromeda, going after their old rivals once again seemingly just to flaunt it in the face of the Future Shock team. Rush got a solid win after about 12 minutes of action. Lord Nexus led Overtime to the ring, gave some last minute words of encouragement, then headed back to the locker room to observe the rules of the night. Overtime got an easy win over Nosfera with Overtime Rules. This fast paced match only lasted about two minutes, but was action from bell to bell. Nosfera's sneak attack at the bell backfired as Overtime came back strong for the pin. Shayne pinned Bishop Hell via Showdown.Bishop tried hard for the upset, but Shayne rallied back to his Showdown for the impressive win. Semi-FinalsRush defeated Thantos with Adrenaline Rush.Rush continued doing his Overmaster's bidding, first beating the Andromedan and then scoring a win over a member of the Future Shock team. Rush has clearly proven his detractors wrong with two big wins to earn a spot in the finals. Shayne defeated Overtime with Eye 4 Eye.Shayne shut down any speculation of a surprise finals with a convincing win over the Titan. Magnus Colby appeared in the ring via hologram. He complained about the mistreatment of Thantos by a biased official and said it was a fitting tribute to a crooked, authoritarian conman like Omega. Aethran Overmaster hit the ring to disagree. He said Thantos was beaten by a superior Aethran athlete, which is the same fate as the counterfeit Aethrans Magnus brought with him. Havoc showed up in the entrance way to distract Overmaster, allowing Vengeance to come up from behind through the ring and attack. Vengeance began choking Overmaster with a piece of wire, cutting into Overmaster's hands as he fought to keep from being assassinated. Rush came out to help and began brawling with Havoc. Finally The FDF along with GWF security came out to break up the fight and send the participants on their way. Paganaxspoke up afterwards and said this event will not be sidetracked by The Gladiators or Future Shock and he will be standing by to make sure there is a clear winner in the finals. (brief timeout to fix the damage to the ring and ringside area) FinalsShayne defeated Rush with Eye 4 Eye to win the tournament and the Interplanetary championship.Rush fought another good match, but was a little worse for wear after the brawl with Havoc and Vengeance. Shayne did the expected and came out the victor to become the new Interplanetary champion Paganax congratulated Shayne after the match and handed him the Interplanetary title belt. They were interrupted by Harbinger who said he'd allow the "good guys" their self-congratulatory display in a moment, but first he wanted to remind Shayne that Harbinger was the winner of this tournament last year. This year the stakes were a little higher and Harbinger would like a chance to prove that "good guys don't always finish first". Shayne told him that when Euritar makes the match he'll be the one standing tall after Showdown.

Congrats to Shayne. A great character and a great card. He's my current Galaxian Champion and it is well deserved. He just finished a program with Harbinger in my fed. Hoping he hangs into the belt long enough for the Future Shock guys to make a run for it. Good stuff here, as always. Welcome to 2130!

@ MT Great tournament. Rush is a great card. He's got that oddly places (ch C) that makes him a beast on level 2 offense. I remember him making the finals of a couple GCON tournaments w that card. @ Toaster good to see you warming up to Shayne. Crazy card mechanic that I wasn't sure how fans would react to it during his creation but it looks like everyone likes it. Although when Troy chose to clean his tokens away vs. Payback w Chaos Supreme at GCON everyone groaned. But that probably had more to do with Troy than Shayne.

Rush is severely underrated in singles matches because most people have never used him in that capacity. I'm also getting a great run out of Paganax. Shayne I think I'm just now figuring out as far as how to use him. Again, things start out looking more or less strictly by the book, but a handful of cards into the year I'll be throwing some twists and turns in there. We have not seen the last of the Deathmasque/Splatter/mystery man angle either, no matter how it looked at the end of the year. I like Betrayer too much to just let him be forgotten, and the end of Black Death frees up both personae to try new things.
