Sting tweeted 7/14/14 last week, apparently they're gonna show the commercial today announcing him as the WWE 2K15 preorder bonus.

WWE.com confirmed that it's Surfer Sting and Crow Sting...not that we already couldn't figure that out but I know someone out there is bound to be peeved we're not getting old man STANG.

I am wondering if current Sting is in the game already and these are just two different era versions that they know most old school fans will pony up the cash for.

Apparently the only Sting in the game is DLC, but that's just guesswork right now and nine times out of ten that'll get ya nowhere with the folks behind these games. How funny would it be if old man, t-shirt wearing Sting was in the game by default?

That is what I am thinking. That "old man, t-shirt wearing Sting" is in the main roster but you have to pay to get two of his iconic eras. Most often than not someone will make a CAS that is ten times better than the actual in game model anyways.

I'm hoping they don't dump Community Creations. There's a lot of talk that since EA dropped Fighter Share for UFC, that 2K might follow suit with WWE 2K15. That would cripple the series so I really don't see them doing that, but imagine the backlash if they did.
Also, you don't have to pay extra for the Crow/Surfer Stings. Just reserve the game at GameStop or EB or wherever.

Well it's confirmed. Crow Sting is the "current" Sting in that it's the one not marked (Retro). Surfer Sting is the (Retro) one. Renders:

I could see them taking out the creative for the sole purpose of selling official wrestlers as DLC and deterring fan created material. Why buy Sting when someone else can make him better than the actual game artist's? I hope they don't as that would really hurt the game in the long run in my opinion. Create a Superstar has been a staple in this series and what helps sell the game. If they take it out there a severe drop off of long time fans who buy solely for the option to create their own feds of wrestlers.

Because they'll lock out all of Sting's stuff as DLC so you have to own him to download the CAW just like they've always done. I wasn't talking removing the creative suite as a whole, but rather the community share feature. They'd have to be out of their minds to get rid of CAW and Create-An-Arena and the Logo Creator after years of those being the most popular features.
Speaking of DLC, I am really not looking forward to who they have this year. I hope it's not like last year where they relegate guys who should have been in the game (Fandango and Big E, namely) to DLC while guys like Justin Gabriel and David Otunga are in for no reason. Then again, a 'months later cutoff date' was mentioned...so maybe not.

I hope they release the orchestral version of his theme from that trailer on iTunes. I'd buy that.

They have a version of the trailer with the reaction from the Raw crowd. He got a huge pop.
