Please feel free to use this shiny new flame-free thread to discuss AJ Styles' card coming out for the RoH set. The other thread has been re-named to protect the innocent

I suppose you could have that long awaited rematch from TNA Sacrifice 2010 between Styles and RVD now if you have the RVD Wrestlecon card.
Maybe a special instruction on AJ's card where if he wrestles Roderick Strong and uses the Styles Clash it becomes a +6 move.
Anyone?

I was listening to a podcast last night and they were talking to AJ. He was incredible arrogant about the accident, fully blaming Strong (which was true, but let's have some humility). He also claimed the move was one of the safest in wrestling. Come on. While not the most dangerous, I can't call it "safe"

While not the most dangerous, I can't call it "safe" It's a fairly safe move if the guy taking the move knows how to take the Styles Clash. Roddy's taken that move wrong at least twice. Other than him I can only think of Kazarian as far as dudes who blew the landing of the Styles Clash goes.

While not the most dangerous, I can't call it "safe" Styles is right and there's no place for humility when pointing out how another guy messed up taking a move that colossally badly, in my opinion. The move is very, very safe if a guy does not TUCK HIS HEAD!

Yeah, those are the only three times I can think of out of the hundreds of times I've seen him do it. And there's nothing he can do about it, if you don't tuck your head he can't see you to know.

With the AJ Styles signing for the game, it has me inspired to start my own ROH for a second attempt...

Try doing just a straight indy. They balance well with each other and it gives you a wealth of options and guys to use.

AJ will be my next in line to take on Kevin Steen if Jerry Lynn can't best him for the title.

yeah, I've given up trying to run an ROH/Chikara/etc. at this point as guys just jump too often and cards are quickly outdated. I'm going to instead make 4 different feds and go from there.
AJ is probably going to be one of the top guys for my Revolution Pro Wrestling once I catch up on sets and he's released.

I'm going to stick with ROH cards for the first run (maybe full first year) and will look at using other indy cards in the future...

Second Styles card art revealed tonight. Will this be current AJ with the longer hair, tattoo, and gloves? Or will it be "throwback" AJ with the shorts and vest? The one we've seen is TNA champ AJ circa 2009, so I wonder if his card will reflect that?

New art is up and you can get both cards for $7.

$7 is an okay price and I'll buy them, but I'm still confused about what the reason is for the two cards. They seem to represent about the same time period judging by the images. Neither one is his look from ROH, either past or present. Both look like TNA 2009. The art is good and I'm sure Werner was just drawing what he was told to draw, so it's not on him, but whoever was directing this project should have made sure the art properly represented AJ Styles from the times they're trying to portray.
