Created a UK account on PSN to get the demo a few (more like 12) hours early. At the rate this is downloading, I might just be better off waiting until later tonight to download but then I'd miss actually being able to play the game this morning.

Demo thoughts so far.
Pros: - Game looks amazing. - The presentation is on a level that the WWE games has yet to reach. There's cameramen on four sides of the cage, photographers on the floor, the audience aren't just looping the same four animations. - I like the way blood works in this game. - The striking feels like Fight Night, the ground game like UFC Undisputed, the clinch game like EA MMA. So it's pretty much the perfect storm of the best elements from all prior combat sports games. - Getting a legitimate knockout is satisfying whereas in the THQ games it was so commonplace you never really noticed.
Cons: - The AI, at least in the demo, seems to take from THQ's UFC Undisputed series in that it's constantly looking for the knockout. Very seldom did Jones or Gustafsson deviate from throwing specialty strikes. - It's way too easy to rely on bombing strong strikes instead of setting them up. I suspect this will change against human players, though. - The demo only has Jones and Gustafsson but I expected that going in. - I don't like the stiff arm, knocked into a coma animations of the actual knockouts. - TKOs are very easy to obtain if you just huck power strikes for the whole fight.
This has potential to be a fantastic game and obviously I'm just judging a demo, we'll see how the complete game pans out in two weeks' time.

Downloaded the demo. Looks awesome. Fought twice. Lost in first, then lost in second. Not getting it but not because I lost. Three rounds and my hands are sore.

Understandable. I can only imagine how cramped my hands are going to be after five round fights online.
I really wish you could change the difficulty setting on this demo, but the AI is smart. It's picked up on my tendencies at the start of a fight and it's adapted. It knows when to lure me into an exchange, when to cut off my chances of landing a superman punch. If the full game does this as well as the demo, I'm going to sink a ton of time into it. The Undisputed games felt too uniform when playing through multiple fights. Same strategy on the part of the AI constantly. Not the case the more I play this demo.
I fucking hate the Showtime stuff off the cage though. Jones and Gus have never done the flying knee off the cage, or a superman punch off the cage.

Yeah, I got mild carpal tunnel so I guess I'll just have to enjoy watching it on Twitch. I really like being able to watch games that way. I get a feel whether I'd like them or not. Wolfenstein looks like it's be too difficulty and Watch Dogs looked good but there were two things I saw where it just went too weird. However, despite it's so do reviews, Murdered Soul Suspect looks more my speed and less likely to cause me to have surgery.

I forgot about Wolfenstein until you mentioned it. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Doom beta looks like whenever that comes out. Watch Dogs looked really cool, but it didn't look like something I'd actually buy and invest time in. EA UFC is pretty much the only game on PS4 that I have any interest in until WWE 2K15 comes out and even saying that, past those two games all I can think of that I really want that are on the horizon for PS4 are Mortal Kombat X and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, neither of which are coming out until next year.

Got a 19 second TKO on Jon Jones this morning. For some reason, the post-fight clock shows you how much time was left in the fight as opposed to when the actual finish happened...unless it ends at 2:30 in a round, I guess.

They finally showed a screenshot of Vitor. I have no words.

If you had words, would they be: that doesn't look like Vitor?

I actually opted out of picking it up on day one after playing more of the demo and a few people I knew who got it early (fucking GameStop workers) were telling me it was a glitchy mess and to wait for a price drop/major patch.
