Notes: [1] Beefcake cut a promo on his upcoming match with Andre the Giant on Saturday Night's Main Event. [2] McMahon mentioned that the winner of this match could potentially receive an Intercontinental Championship match, or in the case of Mr. Perfect, a return match for the Intercontinental Championship. [3] Andre the Giant attacked Ultimate Warrior after the match, but Roddy Piper made the save. Warrior accidentally clotheslined Piper when Piper helped him up.

[1] - Featured Match: Andre the Giant (w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper went to a no contest at 5:54 when Andre attacked Piper with a chair and Ultimate Warrior made the save. - "Macho Man" Randy Savage (w/Sensational Sherri) beat Larry Hargrove in 2:06 with a flying elbow drop. [2] - "Ravishing" Rick Rude (w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) beat Bubba Tate in 2:08 with the Rude Awakening. [3] - Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake beat The Spector in 2:12 with a sleeper hold.
Notes: [1] Jimmy Hart had a promo during the match, saying that he wasn't done with Jake "The Snake" Roberts and that the Honky Tonk Man was coming for the Intercontinental Championship. [2] Savage cut a promo during the match calling himself the undisputed number one contender to the WWF Championship. Notes: [1] In a pop-up promo, Piper talked about how Andre attacked him last week with a chair, saying that he didn't know that giants needed to cheat and take shortcuts to win. Piper challenged Andre to a match to find out who the real number one contender is. Ventura mentioned that Piper did in fact eliminate WWF Champion The Ultimate Warrior from the Royal Rumble match but also mentioned that "Macho Man" Randy Savage has a legitimate claim to being the number one contender as well. Results: - The Hart Foundation beat Larry Hargrove and Mike Baxter in 2:23 when Bret used a spike piledriver on Baxter. [1] - The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer) beat Bubba Tate in 1:56 with a tombstone piledriver. - WWF Champion The Ultimate Warrior beat The Spector in 1:25 with a flying splash. [2][3]
Notes: [1] Master Fuji and Demolition cut a promo on the Hart Foundation, saying they beat them to dust at the Royal Rumble, the only thing that saved the Harts was a time limit. At The Main Event, there's two out of three falls and no time limit and the Harts will be reduced to rubble. [2] "Macho Man" Randy Savage cut a promo, calling the Warrior the ultimate chicken and saying that he is the number one contender. [3] Bobby Heenan walked out and asked Warrior to stop being a coward and give Andre the Giant a shot at the WWF Championship. As Warrior approached Heenan, Andre attacked him from behind, choking the WWF Champion until "Rowdy" Roddy Piper came in with a chair. Despite three or four shots to the back with a chair, Andre wasn't run off as he also attacked Piper. Referees and security had to get Andre out of the ring and he took the WWF Championship with him.

Notes: [1] Heenan: "Look at these two, Monsoon! Do they look like two guys who are ready to give those belts up to the Hart Foundation?" [2] Roberts chased Hart through the entrance to give Earthquake the countout win. We later found out that Honky Tonk Man hit Jake Roberts with a guitar when he came through the curtain. During the match, it was announced that Roberts would defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Honky Tonk Man on The Main Event in 2 weeks. [3] During the match, Randy Savage had a promo declaring himself the undisputed number one contender to the WWF Championship. Monsoon said the Ultimate Warrior's card is getting full with Andre the Giant and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper also laying claim to the championship. [4] Slick cut a promo on behalf of Kamala, saying that the so called immortal Hulk Hogan can't stand up to the Ugandan Giant.
