I have Aries pissed at nor getting a spot in the tournament. I can just have Cole lose in the tournament, do training montages and videos at the tv tapings and have his new card debut in August and start gunning for the belt.

Aries is still the champion in my FCCW fed but I am really thinking hard about having him return to my ROH fed.

I'd been using a hybrid Adam Cole card with aspects of his CZW and ROH cards. After this set is released I think we'll have the definitive "bad guy" Adam Cole. I've got a use for pretty much all of these cards right away, except for the Danielson card I put off on ordering for now. I'll get to it eventually but I don't want to put him in the mix in ROH just now.

He's designed to be world title material. The dice ultimately decide but he's got the moves to make him champion in a lot of people's feds. He will get a big push from me starting ASAP.

Got it. Like it. Every card's a winner. The champion edition card is awesome. That one is going to shake things up a lot.
More in depth review once more people start getting their cards.

I don't get the people that are disappointed by the Cole and Elgin upgrades. I mean, those had to happen for the game to remain a relevant product. And they essentially give you a free Elgin card with the set.

Anyone who is a ROH fan and plays the game knows how Cole has developed since that first card, which was designed when he was part of a tag team. Elgin also has stepped up to the next level since then, when his card represented the lackey of Truth Martini. Also to the point, the Elgin card was friggin free: the SEVENTH card in a SIX card set.

To add to this, I don't get how anyone could have thought the sixth guy was anyone BUT Cole. They showed Jay Briscoe and right before Cole was shown (I'm pretty sure) they announced Ladder War. Also, mega LOL at whoever it was thinking Jay Lethal was the bonus card because Tom mentioned that it was a 'killer' card. I saw someone call the set disappointing. How? You're getting the last three guys to hold the ROH World Championship representing their time with the belt (or in Elgin's case, the run he'll likely get with the belt), Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and one of New Japan's top junior heavyweight teams in THE SAME SET. Also, how can anyone be mad at a free card of the guy who just won the ROH World Championship? I love that Elgin card, it's one of the ones I'm more proud to have helped put together because out of everyone in the original set, Elgin was right there with Kyle as a guy who I thought needed to be upgraded desperately. Now we got one and it's a monster.

I just don't get who they wanted. Yeah, I'm sure Brutal Burgers and a Silas Young card would have been sooooooo much better than updated Cole and Elgin cards. You know, the guys headlining the company.
Honestly, Christopher Daniels alone should make the other cards a mute point. You got 8 cards for what $19 plus shipping? That's a pretty great deal to me.

I mean could you imagine a current RoH fan finding this game, getting everything and having a mid-card Adam Cole and a fringe contender Michael Elgin? They would think the game was a fucking joke.

I want a Silas card as much as the next guy, but no way in hell would I want him over two upgrades that were badly needed. Brutal Burgers, IMO, would be a waste of two spaces since they don't appear regularly enough as a team to really warrant cards.

I haven't received my set yet (I am sure it will show up this week) but yeah I couldn't get over how anyone could be disappointed in this set. And getting a champion Michael Elgin card as a BONUS! Meaning your not getting charge for it is pretty freaking awesome! I was excited to hear when the spoiler dropped that it was Elgin. Sure I may have made a minor ripple about the Adam Cole art but after it being explained to me and looking at it I came to appreciate it and LOVE it. I was just happy about getting a championship Adam Cole card! I think this set is a solid and strong set to jump off from. All the major players are upgraded. We got some new top players and now the next couple of sets can focus on guys who have yet to get cards.
I don't get the disappointment. I am looking forward to all the cards found within this set. Another solid set with great artwork and a nice mix of upgrades and new players to an ROH fed. Haters gonna Hate!

A little side note, I took the new Jay Briscoe card and won the Indy tournament at G-Con. The whole set is awesome and going to have some fun bringing in the new guys and updating the old ones.

Got my cards today. The main event is going to just be absolutely clogged with guys now that Bryan Danielson has an official card and Cole/Briscoe/Elgin have legit main event calibur cards now. Daniels isn't a joke either.
