Ring of Honor Wrestling: 8/23/2014
live from Evansville, IN
Bad Influence d. Gentleman's Club w/ a cross body block
RoH Tag Team Champions the Young Bucks are backstage. Matt is surprised that so many people have been overlooking the Young Bucks. They outlasted all of the other tag teams in a giant tournament to win these belts. He thinks they should be getting a lot more respect than they are. Nick agrees with his brother. At Glory By Honor there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans when they beat the American Wolves and keep these belts.
Biff Busick d. the Hobo w/ the Half and Half Suplex
Ultramantis Black catches up with Christopher Daniels and Kazarian after they've cooled down from their match. UMB asks what the goals of Bad Influence are and if they're worried about the threats from the Decade. Daniels says they're currently after the RoH Tag Team Titles. He's looked at the landscape of the RoH tag team division and it looks pretty tough. But Bad Influence are as tough as they come and they're both looking forward to the challenge presented here. Kazarian says that the Decade can talk all they want. It's about what you do inside of that ring. If Adam Pearce has a problem with them then he can face Kazarian anytime and any place.
Tim Donst d. TJ Perkins w/ the SDT
Steve Corino comes out with Adam Cole and reDRagon. They congratulate Tim Donst on his win. Corino gets on the mic and says that the Extreme Horsemen live again. He and CW Anderson have been training these 4 men in secret for the past several months and now you're going to see a stable that will dominate the landscape of professional wrestling like few have in the past. Adam Cole is their World Title challenger, reDRagon will obviously be going after the Tag Team Titles and Tim Donst will be batting clean up and winning any other titles that are in RoH.
Michael Elgin d. Jimmy Jacobs w/ the Elgin Bomb Kings of Wrestling d. Irish Airborne w/ the UFO
RoH World Champion Rhino is backstage with Truth Martini. He admits that Austin Aries has been a very successful wrestler wherever he goes. But he's never had to face a man like Rhino. Rhino is a completely different animal to anyone else in Ring of Honor. That's why he's currently wearing the gold that shows he's the absolute man. No one else is on the same level that he is. Aries may be a former 2x champion but that's meaningless here. Aries is going to wish he had kept his mouth shut.
Jay Briscoe d. BJ Whitmer w/ the Jay Driller
Jimmy Jacobs attacks after the match. It's a 2 on 1 beatdown for Jay until his brother Mark runs in for the save.
Open the Freedom Gate Match: Johnny Gargano (c) d. Jigsaw w/ the Gargano Escape
Ricochet comes down to the ring with a mic. He challenges Johnny Gargano to put the title on the line against him at Glory by Honor. Gargano thinks it over for a few seconds and then agrees to the match.
Main Event: Adam Pearce d. AJ Styles w/ the Jumping Piledriver
AJ Styles had Adam Pearce in the Styles Clash when Roderick Strong climbed onto the apron. Styles released the hold and caught Strong with a kick to the back of the head. BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs climbed onto the apron next and Styles knocked both of them off. Pearce blindsided Styles with a double ax handle and then rammed him shoulder first into the ring post. Pearce grabbed the injured Styles and hit the Jumping Piledriver for the win. The Decade celebrated in the ring after the win.

live from Indianapolis, IN
Rich Swann d. Mike Mondo w/ the Shooting-Swann Press
Adam Pearce and Roderick Strong are backstage. Pearce laughs about how they took out AJ Styles the other night. He said he would be a difference maker for the Decade and he proved himself without a doubt. But he's not finished yet. There are a ton of names on that list and he doesn't want AJ Styles getting any bright ideas either.
Tim Donst d. Shane Hollister w/ a moonsault
RoH President Cary Silken is out. He announces that Ring of Honor has signed a working relationship with the SHIMMER promotion. RoH will now be co-promoting SHIMMER events and there might even be a SHIMMER TV show in the works. He introduces Cheerleader Melissa and Kimber Lee who will now be having an exhibition match for the RoH fans.
SHIMMER Exhibition Match: Cheerleader Melissa d. Kimber Lee by DQ
The referee called for the disqualification when MsChif and Christina Von Eerie ran in. Von Eerie held Melissa while MsChif and Lee put the boots to her. MsChif chokeslammed Melissa before they headed to the back.
Bravado Brothers d. Backseat Boyz w/ the Gentleman's Agreement
Johnny Gargano is out for an interview. He says that Ricochet is just out of his league with this upcoming match. He's been the Open the Freedom Gate Champion for a really long time and he doesn't see that changing any time soon. He's the total package of speed, strength and endurance. He trains day in and day out to be the perfect athlete. Guys like Ricochet don't do that and it's going to show in their upcoming match.
reDRagon d. Gentleman's Club w/ a series of round kicks

Bravado Brothers d. C&C Wrestle Factory w/ the Gentleman's Agreement
A video package plays of Tommaso Ciampa training. He talks about how he just missed out on the RoH World Title and the RoH Television Title. He's been training hard and he's never felt better. He's going to change his fortunes at Glory By Honor when he beats Mike Bennett for the TV Title.
Main Event: Roderick Strong d. Jay Briscoe by DQ
The referee called for the disqualification when Jay Briscoe grabbed a chair and smashed Strong right in the face with it. Briscoe pounced on the injured Strong and started hitting him with some big right hands. Adam Pearce, BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs came down to the ring and Briscoe tried to fight them off. The numbers were just too much and the Decade laid a beating on Briscoe until Pearce grabbed him and hit the Jumping Piledriver. Pearce started barking orders for a chair. Pearce was going to hit a Jumping Piledriver onto the chair when Mark Briscoe hit the ring with a baseball bat for the save.
Episode #14:
The Briscoe Brothers are backstage. Jay Briscoe has had enough of this back and forth with the Decade. He wants Roderick Strong in the ring and he wants no rules to the match. He wants a Fight Without Honor. He's going to settle this with Roderick Strong once and for all.

Jay Lethal d. Matt Taven w/ the Lethal Injection
American Wolves are backstage. Eddie Edwards talks about how hard they've been training for their title match with the Young Bucks. The Bucks keep talking about being overlooked in this match. That couldn't be further from the truth. They aren't overlooking the Bucks. They've been obsessing over the Bucks all summer. All they can think about is beating the Bucks and winning those tag titles.

Rhino catches Austin Aries with the GORE! after the match.

The winner of that match will get a tag team titles shot at Final Battle in December. He also wants to inform Adam Pearce that AJ Styles hasn't left Ring of Honor. In fact, he's granted AJ Styles a special request. At Glory by Honor it's going to be AJ Styles vs. Adam Pearce inside of a steel cage.
Tommaso Ciampa d. Benny Blades w/ the Project Ciampa
Adam Pearce is backstage. Do they think this is some kind of joke. Do they think he's afraid of someone like AJ Styles. If you put the two of them in a cage, he's just going to injure Styles even worse than he did before. They played right into his hands on this one.
reDRagon d. 3.0 by DQ
Austin Aries comes out for an interview. He talks about all the bluster from Truth Martini and Rhino. Rhino is a veteran who's been in the ring with some of the biggest stars of the last two decades. But that doesn't intimidate him. He derailed Samoa Joe when he was absolutely unbeatable for the RoH Title. He's been in some big spots and he's surprised people more than once with victories. He's going to go into that match and do his thing. He thinks there's a good chance he'll be the next RoH World Champion.
