The 5 Clues - Monolith embraces his Ani-Man past
- Somebody dies.
- Hector's Legends team disbands
- Ghena gets a new friend.
- Around 15 people gone, depending on how you count. Some part time. One will manage.

I like the 'no teasers'. I even think what Tom releasing been giving is too much. Of the three clues so far, nothing is really shocking. I would love it if the Somebody dies was a real shocker like Endgame or something. The Legends team disbanding is no surprise. I'd love to see Hector go or change personas. The bear is a little worn out in my opinion.

I have to be honest. The Indy releases have been so awesome this year that I have minimal GWF interest.

I have to be honest. The Indy releases have been so awesome this year that I have minimal GWF interest. Totally hear you. For me, though, it's been the exact opposite. 2130 is the only thing I'm really looking forward to so far this year. Well, that and Shadows of the Road.

I think Shayne is the best character he's done in the New Beginning era. I just struggle with how up and down the sets have been the last decade or so. I will be getting the set. I just have no clue when I'll get back to a GWF fed.

I think Tom should consider dropping the yearly format and start doing quarterly 6 packs. Make things more organic, give storylines more depth and guys more screen time. Also that gives you more cards for updates and such.

I have a new storyline in mind that was inspired by both COTG the Movie and the movie Tropical Thunder. The Dark Menace is going bring in a giant stable of all these new wrestlers playing the parts of GWF legends, and he hires this equally massive film crew to document his domination of the GWF and tun in into a blockbuster movie. This would give me a good reason to use all the new Thantos, Star Warrior, Gladiators, Wolf etc...cards but use them in the GWF. The Dark Menace and his massive team of legends actors with feud with everyone, but especially legendary teams like the Gladiators, Titans, and the Animen. I'm kind of hoping this was the direction the set is going in anyways, but if not, I'm going to give it a whirl.

I agree with ToasterBoy in that I would have preferred absolutely no teasers at all. I hope he is super vague with the last two. I have a feeling that whatever has been said so far is not necessarily going to play out as cut and dry as it seems though. I am kind of disappointed that there's not going to be a Legends team this year, but hopefully that means Hector is on to doing something even better and more interesting.

Well this teaser was about as vague as you could hope for. About all it tells us is Ghena is still around.
I'm thinking Nosfera for a friend myself. Give him something to do as he's not had a direction in ages.

That's a good guess, tax. They seem like they'd be a natural fit. I figure Ghena will end up being downgraded somehow, too.

Ghena is actually my second favorite of The Three behind Bex. Ghena just finished a great feud against Shayne, which he lost thanks to Shayne's Fury, but it was still a fun feud. I hope he doesn't get a downgrade instead stay where he is. I like the idea of Nosfera and Ghena but perhaps it'll be someone new. I instantly thought of someone new with the opposite arm that doesn't work and they could work together. Stupid? Yes, but it was my initial thought.
Unrelated, on the podcast Tom spoke about the special packaging and he mentioned that the packaging presents the set in a certain order when you open it. Anyone have thoughts on that?
I picture it maybe like a Black Death file folder the president of the UFSP would receive. It would have the latest updates on the Black Death menace. Love stuff like that.

WHAT IF......
Every one of these "teasers" is a fake?
Just a thought.

WHAT IF...... Every one of these "teasers" is a fake? Just a thought. I think that would be awesome. I don't know about anyone else, but I actually love that there are no teasers this time around. I think it should be this way every year from now on. I enjoyed Tom's reasoning for doing it this way on the podcast and it would be cool if it became a regular thing.

I'd think teasers are only a hinderance at this point. It's not like teasing some plot point is going to sell more sets... seems just as likely to stop someone from buying a set (if they don't like the direction the teasers are going in).
