Btw I like how the guy they feature on the poster loses clean out of nowhere in the middle of the show. Nice push. But he's getting the rub from Jericho...or something. I didn't think it was as horrible as it's being made out but there were botches in Wyatt/Y2J that made you think you were watching a Sin Cara match, Paige/AJ featured some too and apparently them being overheard calling their spots. Otherwise the action was solid but you're going to get bad reviews with that combined with scrapping Rollins/Ambrose, having Rusev win by countout and having Cena as your champ are going to result in poor reviews.
Reading what I just wrote doesn't exactly read as the defense of the PPV it's supposed to be.

Well also consider that I watched Battleground immediately following a show of the year candidate from New Japan this morning, but that Wyatt vs. Jericho match was really not good at all. They just don't click, which isn't uncommon for Wyatt because he doesn't slick with many people but I figured Jericho could figure something out. Maybe he will at SummerSlam?

I watched everything right up to the main event (because I honestly don't care about any of those four guys), and I can honestly say I kind of felt mad I wasted the time. They started strong, but the only truly "good" match in my opinion was the one that opened the show. I can overlook a lot, because not everything is going to go perfectly, but the worst parts of the show were mostly down to bad booking as far as I'm concerned, and there is no excuse for that. The wrestlers mainly did the best with what they were given, but what they were given was awful more times than not, in my opinion.

I agree the book was pretty darn mysterious. No idea what they're doing with the Wyatts... if they weren't going to take the tag titles, why have that feud at all? No one's buying the Usos as main eventers, no matter how many times they team with Cena. That said, it has been a good feud that produced some good matches, so I guess that's a good enough reason.
It was nice to see Jericho actually win a match, though.. it's the first time in a LONG time... but this really wasn't the time.
I definitely heard Paige and AJ talking about moves during the match.. stuff like 'Ready? Go!' and 'Me this time'.. .perhaps it was because the crowd was so totally dead? That's another head scratching angle... I'm surprised AJ is even on TV, never mind getting a face push, when the crowd chants for Punk during every one of her matches.
The Battle Royal wasn't terrible, I thought, just not that good. It was quite obvious what the finish was going to be really early.. maybe NOT have the announcers spoil it next time?
I really thought Lesnar was going to turn up... they seem to really have downgraded the 'Supercards' since WWE network hit.. between the recaps and the angles, it really feels like another Raw most of the time.
