ECW Hardcore TV #1: 4/5/1993
taped from Philadelphia, PA
The NEW ECW World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn is introduced by Joey Styles. Jerry Lynn joins Styles in the rings and thanks all of the fans for their support over the last month. Lynn says that it's a great feeling to usher in a new era of professional wrestling with the start of ECW and by being it's first ever World Champion. He beat Steve Corino, Kevin Sullivan, Rob Van Dam and finally Rhino to win this belt. Music hits and Rhino comes out to the ring. Rhino looks absolutely pissed. Lynn and Styles barely have time to react before Rhino hits the GORE! on Lynn. Rhino exits the ring and grabs a nearby table and tosses it into the ring. Lynn is trying to fight to his feet and Rhino just pummels him until he falls back to the mat. Rhino sets up the table in the corner and then grabs Lynn. He takes Lynn by the head and smashes his face right into the table a few times before placing him against the table. Rhino walks to the opposite corner, signals and then GORE! right through the table. Lynn is down and he appears to be hurt pretty badly. Rhino grabs the ECW World Heavyweight Title, poses with it and then throws it on Jerry Lynn before exiting the ring.
Texas Hangmen d. Extreme Horsemen w/ the Hangmen Backbreaker
Eddie Gilbert is backstage. 2 Cold Scorpio got the better of him in the final of the TV Title Tournament. But things aren't over between them yet. Gilbert says that he's still the best wrestler in ECW and he'll be gunning for that TV Title for a long time. That belt will be around his waist where it belongs.
the Sandman d. the Genius w/ the Heinekenrana
Joey Styles is here with an update. Jerry Lynn has been taken to the hospital after the heinous attack seen earlier tonight at the hands of the Rhino. Lynn is scheduled to defend the ECW World Heavyweight Title against Ken Doane next week but he doesn't know if that match will happen or not. He hopes to have updates for the fans next week.
Rhino d. Mister X w/ the Gore!
Rob Van Dam and Bill Alphonso are backstage. RVD is disappointed that he and Sabu came away from all of the tournaments empty handed. But he's not worried. There's plenty of time for Rob Van Dam and Sabu to taste championship gold in ECW. Alphonso calls RVD and Sabu the best singles wrestlers and best tag team in ECW today. All three of those belts are on their hit list and will continue to be. He promises that RVD and Sabu will win those belts.
Main Event: ECW Tag Team Title Match: the Heavenly Bodies (c) d. PG-13 w/ the Superkick
Jim Cornette gets on the mic. He's about to talk when the F.B.I. come out. Tommy Rich has a mic. He mentions that the F.B.I. didn't have a slot in that tag team tournament. He feels that was an unjustified snub and they've decided to show everyone in ECW what a mistake that was. The F.B.I. are going to be the next ECW Tag Team Champions.

Kinda surprised Candido lost to 2 Cold. Candido's a card that very rarely ever loses for me. Good start to the fed.

Candido is pretty hit and miss for me. Scorpio's Tumbleweed came into play a couple of times before the end.

ECW Hardcore TV #2: 4/12/1993
taped from Philadelphia, PA
Joey Styles has ECW President Paul Heyman backstage. Styles asks about the status of ECW World Champion Jerry Lynn. Heyman says that he doesn't know. He hasn't seen Lynn all day but he wants to be fair about it. So what's going to happen in tonight's main event is that there will be a standing 10 count for Lynn to answer and if he doesn't then he'll be stripped of the title and it will be awarded to Ken Doane as a result.
Afa Jr. d. Mister X w/ the Lights Out
Joey Styles has Afa Jr. come over after his victory over Mister X. Next week Afa Jr. will challenge 2 Cold Scorpio for the ECW Television Title. Afa Jr. talks about how he comes from a proud family of Samoan wrestlers and he's come to ECW to continue that tradition. Next week, he's going to make his family proud by winning the Television Championship belt.
Chris Candido and Justin Credible come out for their match and stop for a moment. The Genius comes out and walks down to the ring with them. The Genius gets on the mic and reads a poem to huge boos from the crowd. The poem announced that he's now the manager of Chris Candido and Justin Credible.
Chris Candido and Justin Credible d. 2 Cold Scorpio and the Sandman w/ the Singapore Cane
The ending of this match came when The Genius smashed his scroll right in the face of the Sandman. This allowed Justin Credible to use his Singapore Cane to pick up the victory for his team.
Jim Cornette and ECW Tag Team Champions the Heavenly Bodies are backstage. Cornette refers to the ECW fans as the Philly mutants. He says that the mutants are a bunch of neckbreads that can't get laid so they come to the ECW Arena and boo his team. Just because Stan Lane and Tom Prichard are the best looking men in this entire building tonight. In fact, he's pissed off that they have to even be here and deal with these smelly social rejects on a weekly basis. And don't get him started on Philly women. Wildebeast is too kind a term for the quality of tail walking around out there.
Tom Prichard chimes in. The F.B.I. were excluded from the ECW Tag Team Title Tournament because they just aren't good enough. If they were worth a damn they would have gotten invited to that tournament. And if they want a shot at these belts then they're going to have to prove it inside of that ring. They haven't beat anyone of note as far as he's seen. Lane agrees with Prichard and says that he wants to see the F.B.I. win some matches before these belts get put on the line.
Rob Van Dam and Sabu d. Extreme Horsemen w/ the Five Star Frog Splash
Ken Doane comes out and the referee starts the count. At the count of 8, Jerry Lynn stumbles out into the arena. His ribcage is heavily bandaged and he's having trouble walking. He gingerly gets into the ring and Ken Doane attacks before the bell rings. He starts hitting a series of backbreakers on Lynn and the match is underway...
Main Event: ECW World Heavyweight Title Match: Jerry Lynn (c) d. Ken Doane w/ the Cradle Piledriver
Lynn struggles to his feet after the match. Suddenly Rhino is in the ring and nails him with the Gore! Lynn is down and grabbing at his ribs in severe pain. Rhino pulls him to his feet and hits a running powerbomb. Rhino exits the ring and grabs a table at ringside. He's setting it up in the corner just like last week. He goes for Lynn but suddenly Rob Van Dam and Sabu are in the ring. They get between Rhino and Jerry Lynn. RVD says that Rhino is going to have to go through them to get to Lynn. Rhino decides to back off. Lynn looks at RVD and Sabu shocked that they made the save. RVD and Sabu exit the ring as the show fades to black.

ECW Hardcore TV #3: 4/19/1993
taped from Philadelphia, PA
Paul Heyman is backstage with Joey Styles. He mentions that the first big ECW event is coming up in June with Hardcore Heaven. He promises a stacked card for that show and they'e already signed their first match. ECW World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn will be putting the belt on the line against Rhino. The fans have been screaming for that match all month and they're going to get just that in June.
Rhino d. George South w/ the Gore!
After the match Rhino continues to assault George South with big fists to the face. Kevin Sullivan appears at ringside and beckons for Rhino. Rhino stops the assault, exits the ring and follows Sullivan to the back.
ECW Television Champion 2 Cold Scorpio is backstage. He knew that when he won this belt that he would be defending the belt on a constant basis and against all sorts of challengers. He mentions in some cases that the TV Champion of a promotion has a harder job than the World Champion does. Afa Jr. was out here last week talking about legacy and living up to the image of the Samoan legacy. Well, he's got a legacy of his own to follow and that's the legacy of 2 Cold Scorpio. Afa Jr. is a tough opponent but he's a little out of his depth in tonight's match.
F.B.I. d. the Samoan Island Tribe w/ the Thesz Press
Stan Lane and Tom Prichard attack after the match. Prichard wraps a chain around his fist and blasts Smothers right in the face with it. Smothers is out for the count so the Heavenly Bodies focus their attack on Tommy Rich. They take turns putting the boots to Rich in the corner. Lane chokes Rich with his boot while Prichard unwraps the chain from his fist. Prichard chokes Rich in the corner while Lane taunts the crowd. Smothers has finally gotten to his feet and grabs a chair. The Bodies see this and bail to the outside of the ring. Smothers falls to a knee and crawls over to check on a bloody Tommy Rich.
Justin Credible d. Sabu w/ the Singapore Cane
Joey Styles is backstage with Ken Doane when a bloody Tommy Rich interrupts. He's pissed and he wants one of the Heavenly Bodies inside of the ring next week. He wants a chance to pay them back for what they did to him this week. It can be Stan Lane, it can be Tom Prichard, it can be Jim Cornette for all he cares. He just wants his shot at one of them. Rich storms out leaving a shocked Joey Styles and Ken Doane behind.
A taped interview with ECW World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn plays. He says that Rhino busted up his ribs pretty good during the first attack and that some got dislocated during last week's attack. The doctor's are telling him that he needs to take 4-8 weeks off from wrestling to heal properly. But he can't do that. He's the ECW World Champion and he has to defend the belt. He's glad that Paul Heyman signed the match for Hardcore Heaven. He beat Rhino to win this belt and he's going to humble the manbeast by beating him again. Rhino won't take the belt from him as long as there's lift left in his body to fight. Lynn also announced that he's signed a contract to defend the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against C.W. Anderson 2 weeks from now.
Main Event: ECW Television Title Match: 2 Cold Scorpio (c) d. Afa Jr. w/ a cross body block
Doug and Eddie Gilbert hit the ring after the match. They double team Scorpio in the corner and pummel him with forearms, punches and boots. Eddie Gilbert sets up to use the Fireball but the Sandman hits the ring. He gets in several shots on both of the Gilberts with his Singapore Cane until they retreat. The show fades to black with the Sandman standing tall in the ring.

Yeah, there are a lot of ECW alumni now. I supplemented with some guys that I felt would have been good fits for ECW like Ken Doane and the Texas Hangmen.

Yeah, there are a lot of ECW alumni now. I supplemented with some guys that I felt would have been good fits for ECW like Ken Doane and the Texas Hangmen. I think there are at least 40+ ECW alumni across the various card sets now.

ECW Hardcore TV #4: 4/26/1993
taped from Philadelphia, PA
Jim Cornette leads the ECW Tag Team Champions the Heavenly Bodies out to the ring. Tom Prichard gets on the mic and says it's gotta by the ECW Arena because it reeks of BO and disappointment. They got into town this afternoon and the ladies just couldn't keep their hands off of them. Lane gets on the mic and says that there's nothing worse than a Philadelphia woman. They're all toothless, fat, sweat hogs. The F.B.I.'s music hits and Rich and Smothers hit the ring. The Bodies and Cornette quickly retreat out of the ring.
Tommy Rich d. Tom Prichard w/ the Sleeper
The Heavenly Bodies attack after the match. It's an all out brawl as Tommy Rich and Tom Prichard exchange punches in the corner and Lane/Smothers brawl into the crowd. Cornette whacks Rich with the tennis racket and Rich is stunned. Prichard and Cornette pounce on him like a couple of hyenas. They put the boots to Rich and Cornette starts choking him with the tennis racket. Smothers comes back to try and help but he gets blindsided by Stan Lane. Prichard wraps a chain around his foot and catches Smothers in the head with an enzuigiri. Jim Cornette and the Heavenly Bodies pose over the fallen F.B.I.
Chris Candido and Justin Credible d. Doring and Roadkill w/ the Blonde Bomb
ECW Television Champion 2 Cold Scorpio is backstage. He praises Afa Jr. for a great match last week but he's here to talk about Eddie Gilbert. He doesn't appreciate the Gilbert Boys jumping him after his match last week. If Gilbert's going to be a constant thorn in his side then he's going to have to address that. That's why he went to Paul Heyman and asked that he and Gilbert settle things at Hardcore Heaven. He says he'll see Gilbert in June once and for all.
Rhino d. the Sandman w/ the Gore!
The Sandman hit Rhino over the head with the Singapore Cane until the cane broke completely in half. Rhino was bleeding but wasn't phased and he demanded that the Sandman go get a chair and hit him with it. Sandman grabbed a chair and blasted Rhino right in the head with it. Rhino told him to do it again. This processed repeated another 4 times and Rhino was still standing. The Sandman went for another chair shot but this time Rhino caught him with the Gore! and pinned him. The crowd went uncomfortably silent at this and it seemed like no one in the crowd believed Jerry Lynn had a chance against him.
Al Snow is backstage with Head. He's really disappointed at the lack of matches he's had so far in ECW. How is he ever going to earn a title shot if he never gets to wrestle anyone. He's just going to have to come out on next week's show and issue an open challenge for a match.
Main Event: Rob Van Dam d. Kurrgan w/ the Five Star Frog Splash
J.C. Ice and Wolfie D are backstage. They mock Rob Van Dam and Sabu as being overrated. J.C. Ice says that in Memphis they won so many belts that he lost track of what they did and didn't win. All he sees with RVD and Sabu are a couple of guys with big mouths and little in the ring to back it up. Wolfie D tells them to name a time and a place and PG-13 will be there.

ECW Hardcore TV #5: 5/3/1993
taped from Philadelphia, PA
The show opens with Al Snow and Head in the ring. He issues an open challenge. If anyone wants to come out and face him in a match then come on down. C.W. Anderson answers the call.
Al Snow d. C.W. Anderson w/ a seated spinebuster
Tommy Rich and Tracy Smothers are backstage. Rich admits that the Heavenly Bodies sure know how to lay down a beating when they want to. Hats off to them for knowing how to get business done. But that is still not happening inside of the ring. The Heavenly Bodies may not want to put those belts on the line against them but they'll be forced to do so sooner rather than later. The F.B.I. will just keep winning matches until the Heavenly Bodies have no choice.
PG-13 d. Texas Hangmen w/ the Backbreaker/Elbow
ECW World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn is backstage. His doctors have said that he won't be cleared to wrestle until Hardcore Heaven next month. His ribs are still in bad shape from the attack from Rhino and his title defense against Ken Doane. He's just going to lay low and try to stay out of Rhino's way until the match. He doesn't want to risk further injury.
Afa Jr. d. Mikey Whipwreck w/ the Lights Out
The Genius is backstage with Chris Candido, Justin Credible and Tammy Lynn Sytch. The Genius brushes off the Heavenly Bodies and the F.B.I. Candido and Credible have been on a tear in the tag team division and they don't get anywhere near the attention that those teams do. J.C. Ice, Wolfie D and P.N. News interrupt the interview. J.C. Ice says that PG-13 has been having similar issues but they are better than Candido and Credible could ever be. The Genius tells them to prove it. Ice challenges them to a match on next week's show and the Genius accepts.
Main Event: ECW Television Title Match: 2 Cold Scorpio (c) d. Doug Gilbert w/ the Diss That Don't Miss
Eddie Gilbert attacks after the match. He puts the boots to Scorpio and abuses him with elbows. Gilbert goes for an irish whip but Scorpio gets the reverse. Scorpio hits a body slam on Gilbert and then jumps to the top rope and catches him with The Diss That Don't Miss.
