So that's so secretive? Geez Dude, you're being super paranoid. No one is keeping any secrets from you. Troy was just being respectful to the promoters who's business it is that the costume didn't work. It's not attendees job to report back to you everything you missed by being there. Come to Con if you're so interested in the details instead of berating Troy into satisfying your curiosity. Sigh. People were curious about the event and Troy gets on here and says "I know, but I'm not saying" when all it was was a simple costume issue. Really not that big of a deal and really would any of the fans here bust Todd and co's chops on here? No, of course not. Most would have said "oh, that stinks, but happens". Instead Troy pulled out "I know, but I'm not saying" card. Really? That immediately makes it seem like some big deal and, personally, I would have hated it because it seemed like a fan event for attendees. But it was a simple costume issue...not a big issue I've addressed my peace. Good day

So I guess that means we can book Valentine and Marty as the No Show Express?

Thantos, Glads, and DK were definitely the best. Executioner's hood felt a bit off, the Greek Gods were hampered by who was playing them (my comment was....I seem to remember them with more hair) Cassidy was pretty good as Star Warrior but his cape looked like he was going to trip on it.

They need to get in touch with Rick Michaels from NWA Wildside. He's a former wrestler and used to make gear for a ton of guys. I think the WWE even had him under contract as a tailor at one point.

JD Michaels (JD Maverick now) also makes ring gear for people.

LOTS of people make wrestling wear, and a lot of it is very good but not necessarily budget friendly. I'm not going to continue to second guess the guys at this stage but, as noted elsewhere, I'm sure they gained valuable knowledge if they decide to do another one.
I am looking forward to seeing who is represented in the Live Event card edition. I'm kind of hoping for Beast-Rider. You can really never have enough cards of Robert Davis Evans and his 100 different personas.

Hey guys, sorry I didn't chime in here earlier, but left for vacation right after the G-con weekend and getting caught up now.
Putting on the event certainly was an experience, with some great points and some real lessons learned. The costumes overall were the biggest hit or miss area. They looked good for the most part, but were tight an not ideal material for wrestling. But given the tight time frame and budget we had, it worked. The one costume with the most issues unfortunately was Omega, and in the end Stevie didn't appear as Omega and we restructured the card a bit, but still were able to tell a good story and actually were able to spotlight Robert Evans more, an he was great. Stevie did appear in the Legends side of the show and had an excellent match with Chuck Taylor, one both guys really enjoyed working.
To answer the Alex Reynolds mask question, in actuality he was supposed to remove the mask and give to a kid ala Bret Hart, but decided instead he wanted to wrestle in it (especially after the locker room encouraged him to).
If and when there is another show we know some things to do differently. Jeff and I certainly were not going the safe rout with the first ever show we helped produce. But in the end I believe we'll have a really fun product to share with the COTG community and something non-COTG fans will really dig as well. I was happy to see how much the kids were into it and got some great feedback as well from some wrestling fans who didn't know a thing about COTG going in.
The answer MT's question the set will feature all 10 wrestlers on the show (Beast Rider included), with the kickstarter contributors getting a bonus card. Expect the set to be available in September or so.

I am working under the impression that this was actually a parallel universe spoiler show and that was Lope. Also, I think that may have been the 2130 Thantos dressed as the original. That guy Johnny Rocket eventually turns into Mutant, right? At least he does in my world. You know, that would be a great card for Kickstarter contributors: Johnny Gavin Noxious Mutant....senior.
