I've got five hours until the G1 Final comes on, so why the fuck not play this tournament. Gonna use the official ROH cards for every ROH champion we have except Nigel because I can't find my card for him right now.
Participants (seeded by title reign length off the top of my head--in the case of Aries I went with his first title reign since that's what his stats are based on): Bryan Danielson Davey Richards Kevin Steen Adam Cole Austin Aries Roderick Strong Tyler Black Eddie Edwards Jay Briscoe Michael Elgin
Brackets: [Qualifying Round] Eddie Edwards vs. Jay Briscoe Tyler Black vs. Michael Elgin
[Quarterfinals] Winner of Edwards/Briscoe vs. Bryan Danielson Adam Cole vs. Austin Aries
Winner of Black/Elgin vs. Davey Richards Kevin Steen vs. Roderick Strong
[Semifinals] Winner of Quarterfinal #1 vs. Winner of Quarterfinal #2 Winner of Quarterfinal #3 vs. Winner of Quarterfinal #4

Results
Qualifying Round: Eddie Edwards *1 beat Jay Briscoe *6 with the chin checker. Michael Elgin *0 beat Tyler Black *1 with a buckle bomb. (Rolled snake eyes on the second move of the match...awesome)
Quarterfinals: Eddie Edwards *3 beat Bryan Danielson *7 with the chin checker. Adam Cole *1 beat Austin Aries *5 with the FLORIDA KEY.
Michael Elgin *2 beat Davey Richards *7 with a cobra clutch suplex. Roderick Strong *2 beat Kevin Steen *5 with a SICK KICK.
Semifinals - Note that all four men in the semifinals have been World Champion in the last four years and the pairings are odd too. Cole used to be Edwards' tag team partner and Elgin used to team with Strong. Also, Edwards beat Strong for the belt and Elgin beat Cole for the belt--potential rematches in the finals?! Adam Cole *0 beat Eddie Edwards *3 with the PANAMA SUNRISE. (Cole recovered 1 fatigue token between rounds while Edwards recovered 2) Roderick Strong *2 beat Michael Elgin *2 with the End of Heartache. (Elgin needed 4 or better to kick out...he rolled a 3; neither man recovered fatigue between the rounds due to how short the Cole/Edwards match was)
Final - So much for the rematch in the finals! Adam Cole *0 beat Roderick Strong *2 with the diving crossbody.
Three finishing moves the entire tournament with just some real oddball results up and down the thing. Fun tournament though.

Odd results for sure. Eddie Edwards over Danielson threw the entire tournament into disarray. I've never had the Roddy Strong card do well, and that new Elgin card is a beast. Cole wins anyway, but where does he realistically stand historically as far as ROH champions are concerned? Top five? Higher even? Lower? Lots of question marks for no good reason? Been watching 60s Batman on TV tonight? Stay tuned. Same Bat time, same Bat channel!
