Ok, since Legends season is in full swing, let's throw out a hypothetical question. Tom picks you and asks, "I'm thinking of updating five previous cards and I'm letting you chose the five. It can be new art, stats, etc."
What's your choices? I think everyone will say Bruiser Brody's infamous down - 3 on level 2 defense, so what's your others?
1 and 2) new, and good art, for Buddy Rogers and Nick Bockwinkel. I think both versions of their art are poor representations of both, especially considering their status in wrestling history
3) Tommy Rich needs a downgrade. I love Tommy, but he's too strong.
4) Tom Prichard's FOREIGN OBJECT. I'd rather see a good singles version of him with the SUPERKICK

the down on Brody for sure Ray Stevens.......guy just needs a general upgrade and better art Tommy Rich...definitely a bit of a downgrade Buddy Rose having the Inside Backbreaker as his finisher. He used it most of his career....Prichard is good too. Foreign Object could have been a roll option like Gilbert's Fireball.

I thought Rose *did* get an update with the BACKBREAKER finisher.
I would like to see:
1.) A Waylon Mercy card. Not called as such, of course. But Spivey with dark hair, the dagger tattoo, and the SLEEPER finisher. Mercy is a guy who could be used so much better in a LOW setting than what the WWF did with him--plus you can pretend his knees are still intact.
2.) I know he may not be high on everybody else's list, but...a Claudio card with the Swing and the generally updated current moveset would be nice.
3.) Better Buddy Rogers art.
4.) The one in the Promoter is nice, but an "official" card for AAA Konnan, where he was at his greatest fame.
5.) I think RVD is in greater need of a downgrade than Wildfire. I know people cringe over the 4(1) for him and especially for Corino, but I get the card-makers' logic (that they should bleed more).

Actually, strike #5--with Del Wilkes coming, we absolutely must have a Doug Gilbert alternate in his Dark Patriot gimmick.

One of the reasons I really wasn't happy with Claudio's card from a couple sets back was that I felt it was too early. Should have definitely waited on it.

Jimmy Hart would have wrestling stats and his Distractor Rating would be increased by one.
I know there was a promoter card that had wrestling stats but I'd rather dream up the interference rather than have it told to me.

Antonio Rocca not sure why but this card seems weak for a former WWF champion

BULLET POINTS!
*Rose got a remixed card with the second priting of the Legends intro set, BACKBREAKER finisher included.
*Claudio card is pretty much generally considered "too soon" and doesn't really accurately reflect any particular point in his career.
*Rocca was never actually WWWF champion. He did hold the international title and a number of regional "world" titles. He was considered one of the biggerst stars of any era, but I think his card is overall pretty strong. A few tweaks here and there wouldn't hurt but I like it as is.
My five (in no particular order): - new art for Rick Rude, PIN 3(0), RUDE AWAKENING (+5)...okay, new art would do. - manager art for Red Berry manager card - Iron Sheik. I'd downgrade the level 3 offense and defense a little to more accurately reflect his overall position in wrestling history (one more down, PIN 6(3), move 1 on level 3 "power slam - 2 (ch F)").
...you know, I can't even come up with five right now that I'd change other than art or little things here and there. If I looked through all the cards and got picky I probably could but I think as the game has progressed the guys have done a real good job with the cards.

Some thoughts I have, based on discussions team LOW has had in the past, plus looking at some of the responses.
*Definitely Rocca needs some work. We gave him the 4(1) because he was such a huge draw and rarely lost in his time, but the three down-3's on his L3D really kill him.
*Ray Stevens was very hard to stat. Legendary territorial star in both singles and tag, but I don't think his card represents it.
*Mad Dog Vachon and Crusher were both downgraded from their original stats. I think they both should be just a shade tougher.
*Conversely, RVD was upgraded from his original stats.
*Tommy Rich wasn't upgraded because he was the "headliner", as I've seen mentioned. He was very hard to stat because he was a world champion (for a very short time) when that still meant something, and was a national star thanks to WTBS. He was brought in like an Andre or Dusty to headline shows out of his territory. That time on top didn't have a lot of longevity, which made him difficult to put together. I think the LOW team would agree that we inadvertently made him too tough.

Lou Thesz - he was a guy best known for going 60 minutes + in matches, but he has a Goldberg like L3O that squashes opponents like bugs. I'd give him the Umagapotamus/Sur/Spec treatment on offense with a (+1) finisher and L2O and L3O riddled w Add 1's, at least 3 all together, maybe 4. He'd have a 4(1) PIN, one down and overall a very stout defense with multiple - 1 reversals, along w a straight -3 move on L1O6.
His overall card strength wouldn't change, he'd still be one of the top 5 guys in the game, but these stats would result in long, grueling matches where Thesz just wears his opponent down in long matches, beating them up before finally putting them away. A wrestling clinic type of card. Whenever I use him now he just kills guys in no time once he gets on L3O.
RVD - I'd give him 3 level 3 moved on L2O and change up his finisher. Probably give it a (+3) * and make the * VAN TERMINATOR (+4) dis 4 can be used once per match.
Curt Hennig - new art, IC titis era, give him all A charts with a * turnbuckle mechanic where you roll one die even - play normally. Odd - Hennig goes crashing into the turnbuckle. Add 1 to PIN and roll on level 3 defense.
Basically, perfect charts with his one big weakness exposed on the turnbuckle chart.
Steve Williams - new art.
Andre - WM3 era version
Those are the 5 right off the top of my head.

Tom Prichard. I would change it to a Super Kick finisher with the option to roll to put a chain around his foot.
That's really my only big stat complaint off the top of my head. I think everyone has been pretty dead on for a long time. Even RVD is balanced out by the fact that he's at risk for DQs.

I also disagree that Rich is too tough. He's a secondary title guy and a fringe World Title contender. I think the people that complain that Rich is too tough are basing that off his WCW run where he was a mid-card guy.

Thesz and Rocca are both interesting and cool choices. I could definitely see both of them being adjusted.

Replace Hacksaw Duggan's +1 FLYING SPEAR with a +2. New art for Legends International and new Steve Stanley art for Buddy Rogers
