Saw this on the Observer board.
"Quack plugged something called "Chikaratopia" at the end of his latest podcast. The rumor going is that Chikara is ending it's relationship with SMVOD and starting it's own in-house VOD service or perhaps a streaming service like WWE Network."
If this pans out, then either Quack has lost his mind and really overestimating how many people are willing to pay to see that product or he's hoping that all the people that stupid shutdown angle turned away come back for the VOD footage.

He's just compounding his bad choices now. I know when my product is running hot I would close it down for a year just because.

He's just compounding his bad choices now. I know when my product is running hot I would close it down for a year just because. "Telling an innovative story because we don't answer to shareholders~!" Let me run that through my numbskull translator. "My fanbase will readily accept anything we do because we've built up years of good faith!" Yeah, about that....

Yeah. He would have been okay if the product came out of the gate strong. But 2014 wasn't a good year and was probably the worst Chikara year I've seen and I've been around since fall of 07. Icarus was uninteresting and they're trying to turn him heel already. The Kingston stuff sucked. Few of the new characters were interesting or booked to look like threats. Losing Tim Donst hurt a lot. Worker Ant ruined the Colony.
It just amazes me in hindsight. They were red hot in 12 and 13 and he just closed it down for a stupid storyline. 14 just has none of the same energy. It's like I'm not even watching Chikara sometimes.

Quack's still laughing his way to the bank because there are the diehards who will support the product no matter what. IMO, High Noon should have been the end. It's not going to get better than that show.

I really like 2012. Not great matches every show but really great show to show direction.

They can't do better than $11.99 for On Demand? You were charging $15 for DVDs. I'll just buy the damned DVD.

No DVD for the January event yet. So I'm guessing it's their stupid new service or nothing. I choose nothing if that's the case.

Icarus vs. Nokken is the first interesting match they've had in awhile.

I've been passively following the events and reading reviews. Wow, has this season not been good so far.

They announced a Columbus show that I'm probably going to attend because they've never come this way before.
Still not super into the product. Hallowicked winning the belt has been an improvement to Icarus though.

Icarus simply does not make a good technico. I also preferred Angelosotti as a rudo as well.

I don't mind Mr. Touchdown as a face. He's really developed into a good worker the last year and a half.
