Well there's the first two official matches. Cena/Rusev, Wyatt/Taker, Orton/Rollins and Stardust/Goldust were pretty much set up tonight. Not a terrible card on paper aside from another Rhodes Brothers match.

Wyatt/Taker is pretty awful. Wyatt is in a no win situation.

I assume Cena-Rusev will be last man standing.
They could also have a Barrett-Ambrose re-match in some sort of no-dq match.

I figure Cena/Rusev would be something like Submission or I Quit, but Cena works real well in Last Man Standing matches. I'd rather see that tbh.

Cena's good in LMS matches, but they often come up with really screwball endings for him in those. At Payback last year it was when he put Wyatt in a box, Vengeance in 2011 and Backlash in 2009 were both run ins ('09 also featuring the infamously goofy exploding spotlight bit), Extreme Rules 2010 had the duct tape... Really, only Rumble '07 (where he strangled Umaga) and Extreme Rules '13 (when he and Ryback went to a draw) haven't had a groan inducing ending. I'd rather see him and Rusev in a normal match at Mania and then have the blow off gimmick match at Extreme Rules.

To be fair, he gave Wyatt the Attitude Adjustment through the box and then put another box on top of the hole Wyatt created to prevent him from getting out. That's not so much a screwball ending as Extreme Rules 2010. I'm in the minority but I liked the concept of the Backlash 2009 finish...and then I got the 2009 in Photos magazine and laughed because they took a picture from behind the light and made it abundantly clear that the pyro came from behind the light.

To be honest, my biggest issue with Backlash 2009 wasn't the spotlight spot, though that was stupid, it was the run in by Big Show. Show lumbered in and really ruined what had been thirty minutes of top notch story-telling by Edge and Cena.

My biggest problem with that Show run in is that it lead to a two month program with Cena and Big Show.

So, looks like Ziggler's in the ladder match, based off him beating BNB last night and the promo on youtube. So that leaves Sheamus for Bryan.

:sigh: Yeah, I could see them don't that. I could totally see them putting the three most over babyfaces in the company in Ambrose, Ziggler, and Bryan in the ladder match. Know what else I could see them doing? Having R-Truth win the thing.

Know what else I could see them doing? Having R-Truth win the thing. I don't mind Ambrose and Ziggler being in it. Given how deep this card's shaping up to be, they're not going to get a big match and frankly this is the exact type of match that's going to let them shine and do their thing.

YOu know, maybe all this Lesnar nonsense will be good in the long run.. this is the most important the secondary titles have seemed in a long time.

LL Cool J will be in the show's opening. This company has no fucking clue what year it is.
